What kind of accounting services do you provide?
Entering financial transactions into Sage Accounts, recording Bank & Credit Card transactions & reconciliations. Raising then emailing invoices and credit control. PAYE Payroll processing onto Sage Payroll (see more details) recording holidays and sickness days taken, Month End reporting for HMRC PAYE & NIC payments due, reconciliation of Tax accounts. C.I.S Tax (Construction Industry Scheme) calculations and reporting.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
With Making Tax Digital (MTD)? MTD is an initiative by HMRC designed to ensure that the UK tax system is effective, efficient and easier for taxpayers. Making Tax Digital for businesses (MTDfb) begins on 1st April 2019, VAT registered businesses with turnover above the threshold of £85k will need to keep digital records and submit their VAT returns online using compatible software.
So an Accountant is advisable to make sure you are compliant with current legislation.

I have always had some freelance work and I would build on this.

for the finance officers own Estate agency and Letting business.
14 months contract with a PLC International Bank, working as their accountant with a business unit.
6 months cover with payroll Bureau, allocating expenses and calculating salaries.
12 months maternity cover with Bespoke tour company, tracking tour costs and day to day accountants and year-end.
8 years plus with a construction company as their company accountant, responsible for all aspects of the
company accountants and preparing for the year-end.
2 years with a construction company as their financial controller with 2 assistants, responsible for all aspects of the company accountants and preparing for year-end.
