I figured it was time to update my review as it's been 10 years since I started coming to QB! I see Jen V regularly and she is the BEST waxer in my opinion. She's quick, efficient, bubbly, funny, and remembers EVERYTHING! I would highly recommend her! I recently asked Jen for her recommendations for a facial bee at the salon and she suggested Michelle W. I'd never had a facial before and wanted to start prepping my skin for my wedding next year. My experience was really lovely. The room was dim, spa-like, and relaxing. Michelle was friendly, kind, and explained everything she was putting on my face after asking about my skincare routine and needs. She wasn't chatty during the facial but made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. Her hands were so soft! She made some recommendations but wasn't pushy at all. I also wanted to give props to owner Jodi. After all these years going to QB I've emailed her twice (once a question, the other a concern) and she always responds promptly. The service was okay. I waxed my body and my face. I still have some hair on some spots. A little disappointed were I in the process of communication, I wasn't aware that certain body parts were included in the service and was very unhappy when she waxed areas that I never have touched before. Logan is so phenomenal! I got my eyebrows waxed by them. I felt super safe and comfortable. Loved that they respected my pronouns and catered to my caterpillars. I am a long-time waxer with sensitive skin and low pain tolerance, and I love Queen Bee. I come for Meliz, who is gentle, thorough, and cares about getting it right. Also, she's fun to talk to, which makes the wax fly by.I do a bikini and leg wax, plus shaping and tinting my brows.Meliz is such a pro, and such a delight. I laugh every single time I get waxed, which is an unexpected treat -- and I'm certain a natural pain reducer. Honestly I look forward to my waxing appointments, which is not usual for me, and it's all down to Meliz.Other plusses: my appointments always start on time. The spa itself has cute decor, the front desk staff is unfailingly friendly, and they send you a reminder text that lets you confirm with one easy click. (To cancel you call, but they've never given me trouble when I've called a few days ahead to switch an appointment, like if my period arrives early or something.)Street parking is easy. I can't say enough how much I love Queen Bee! I had been wanting to try Queen Bee for the longest based on their excellent Yelp reviews but never got the opportunity. I have been getting waxed pretty regularly at another salon that I also love, but is closed on Sundays. I really wanted a Sunday appointment and decided to give them a call when they opened around 8am on Sunday morning and asked if there were any openings for a brazilian wax later in the day, which they were graciously able to get me in for around 4pm.Super easy parking right in front of the building. Walked around the back to the salon entrance and was immediately greeted with my choice of wine, coffee, or tea. The salon is beautiful, huge, and tastefully decorated.My esthetician was Jen V. who immediately took me back and though I'm not new to waxing, she walked me throughout the entire process and explained all of the suggested aftercare. She was so sweet and took excellent care of me. Also the soft wax they use must have some sort of magic in it because it was the least painful wax I have ever had and I was overdue for a wax by at least 3 weeks! And it took less than 15 minutes! I've been coming to Queen Bee Culver City for several years. They are always great! Over the past year, I've really come to rely on them. I've been getting ready for my wedding: waxes and facials. LOVE LOVE LOVE Queen Bee Salon, I've been coming here for waxing for years. The front desk is always very friendly and they have great customer service. The facility is small, and easy to get in and out. Very clean waiting room, restroom and service rooms. They have complimentary drinks while you wait and it's a cute boutique feel. As soon as I walked in I knew I was in good hands. The young lady at the front desk was super friendly when I checked in, and she had even read in the notes that it would be my first time getting a wax. We chatted for a bit and she assured me I would be okay. As I waited to be called in I browsed around at the selection of product they had for sale.I got called in by a cheery lady named Liz, who would be giving me my wax. Just had my first Brazilian wax appointment with Liz this morning and it couldn't have been a better experience. This was my first time receiving this type of service and I was very nervous but Liz quickly calmed my nerves and made me feel beyond comfortable physically and mentally. A hidden gem!!! This was the best waxing experience I've ever had. Liz, was incredible, honest, professional, and paid attention to detail. I swear, this was the least painful brazilian wax I've ever had. I highly recommend Queen Bee Salon. You can request an appointment online and someone will call/email you not long after. Their website lists the services offered and what is included in each service which is nice . The front office has a nice warm welcoming vibe and all the staff greet me by name. I see Claudia for my waxing and she is great! She keeps the conversation going - taking my mind off of the pain from waxing which is so helpful! Discovered this gem when I moved to Culver City in 2016. While it may seem pricey to some , if time means money , this is the best deal ever ! What I love the most is that you are in and out , to clockwork precision and no compromise whatsoever on the quality . At first I found their strict appointment /cancellation policy outrageous ( you can be charged if you don't honor an appointment) but I realise that's how they maintain their clock work precision!Of course I was very close to giving them a poor review when they almost charged me for An appointment I could not honor since I went into labor ( the strict cancellation I was taking about ) thankfully it was taken care of !
