I have been training here for about 4 months with Laila and Kristle and am really enjoying the experience! Training has easily become a normal part of my routine and I appreciate the variety in workouts, the motivation to continually challenge myself, and the flexibility to reschedule sessions if needed. For the past year and a half my husband and I have been training with Push Personal Fitness. We started about a year before our wedding to get in shape, but what we found when we trained with Laila was that we were making lifestyle changes. We were learning how to incorporate healthy living into our daily routines and how little changes can make a big impact. Laila is wonderful! She will cater every workout to your needs, she knows how to adjust an exercise if you hurt your ankle and she knows when to push you a little harder because she knows you can do it. A few months ago Kristle started to train some of our sessions and she is very knowledgeable in getting good stretches in when you are sore and motivating you through those tough workouts. We have found such health and happiness through Push Personal Fitness and we look forward to continuing to work with the wonderful trainers for a long time. Laila is amazing. I have really enjoyed working with her over the past six months. She is disciplined, organized and pushes you every single time. I've lifted before and was quite particular about the sort of trainer I wanted to work with. I.e. someone who cares about performing the exercises correctly and safely. Not only that, she writes personal programs for you and keeps track of your workouts, so you know you're always improving. Also, she is a kind and warm person, and genuinely cares about your physical and mental wellbeing. If you're at all interested in strength training, please go and have a chat with Laila. I've been training with Laila for about 4 months now and I'm noticing that I have been gaining muscles and have gone to the gym without feeling anxious or self-conscious. I'm astounded by my own progress and I do have Laila to thank for that (thank you ! ! !). Laila is informative, knowledgeable, easy-going, caring, listens, and provides feedback when necessary. I've been training with Laila once a week for about 3.5 months now. I used to be a runner but had never tried weight training before. I have a wedding coming up in 1 year and set a goal for myself to feel stronger and get healthier. Laila has helped me build confidence, and try exercises I'd never done before. She focuses on form which makes it easier to complete the remote trainings she assigns for the week. What I most enjoy is how much she genuinely cares about her clients. She asks about my nutrition and sleep or even by asking how my weekend was- she makes you feel super comfortable. Her communication and attention is exceptionally reliable and professional. Personal trainers are a dime a dozen. Top notch trainers are needles in a hay stack. I consider myself very lucky to work with Laila. What sets Laila apart is she cares about her clients and takes great pride in her work. She is calm, steady, and a tower of strength - no BS, no nonsense. She is focused on making every minute of my session count. She pushes me to the next level at every workout and acknowledges my progress (even if it's only in small increments). I really appreciate Laila's intensity and dedication. In 4 months, this couch potato is finally starting to incorporate exercise in her life - gradually but surely. My wife and I trained with Laila for over two years.  Let me start by saying that before seeing Laila, I thought that working out entailed of mostly doing cardio work (e. g. hiking, running, etc).  I did cardio exercises and played sports regularly, but I wasn't very confident or satisfied with my strength training regimen.  Strength training with Laila unlocked whole new levels of fitness for me - both mentally and physically.  Not only did I learn a whole new array of strength exercises, but I saw how easy it was to train with bad/improper form.  Laila has a very keen eye and shows amazing attention to detail and was able to help spot and make me aware of many of my incorrect habits/postures.  She also has an uncanny ability to be able to communicate clearly and to be able to get the best out of you - while making sure you don't forget the strength training fundamentals.  Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm also pushing 2x as much weights now vs. when I first started and don't get injured quite as frequently playing sports (knock on wood).  It also helps that Laila is a wonderful human being - very understanding, open-minded, and not judgmental.  Definitely do not hesitate to reach out to Laila if you're looking to make fitness improvements! Laila is super sharp and responsive.  She is knowledgeable and on task.  Crucially for me, she is able to push me when I need to be pushed, while remaining responsive to my concerns. I won't go so far as to say I enjoy my workouts with her, but that's only because I generally loathe working out.  So don't be discouraged if you're like me -- it's still not loads of fun, but working out with Laila may be about as doable as it gets for strength training.   I appreciate that Laila's sessions are very focused, and the "homework" she gives me generally only takes about 25 minutes a day, which is manageable on most days.If you're considering a person trainer, I don't think you can lose by contacting her for a consult and trying out a few sessions.  The only thing is that I don't think she works weekends, so you'd have to have time during the week. I trained with Laila once a week for 6 months. I had been interested in fitness for a while, but felt that I wasn't exercising very efficiently towards my goals. I wanted to improve my strength and muscle, but wasn't very confident in the weight room. Laila not only helped me build that confidence, but also work towards achieving visible results. I was able to try exercises that I wouldn't have dared before. She was always very attentive during our sessions and placed a high priority on good form. She also made sure to ask about my nutrition and give helpful tips and gentle reminders to make better choices. Some weekends, I'd suddenly remember that she would ask me about what I ate, and be motivated to choose something healthier than I would have. I really appreciated how professional and reliable she was when it came to sending me remote training work or rescheduling sessions when necessary. This is just one of the little things that I think sets her apart from others. Laila was my first PT, and I found her on Yelp based on these great reviews. If there was one thing I could change, I would have liked if we had regular check-ins to measure my progress in areas such as body fat percentage, muscle percentage, or body measurements. I began working out with Laila several years ago after falling off the gym band-wagon. I assumed that I would get personal training for a few sessions just to get a jump-start on a work-out routine, but I stayed with her for more than 2 years! Working out with Laila has really helped me stay motivated. Beside my weekly sessions with her, she gave me custom workouts to do on my own at the gym.  She always checked in with me to make sure I stuck with my scheduled work-outs.  This really helped me stay accountable and progress in my fitness journey.Previously, I stuck to cardio or workout classes and videos. However, with Laila's guidance, I became much more confident in the weights area of the gym.  Laila is very attentive during each session. She has an eagle eye for form. She is also flexible. When I hurt my back, she adjusted the exercises we did so that I could continue my routine without interruptions.I recently moved from the area and had to stop my workouts with her. I feel like she helped me change my attitude toward exercise.  I now view it as a consistent part of my life and something I do to invest in myself for the long-term. I've battled my weight all my life and managed to lose about 110lbs around 2008-2009. As a cardio queen hitting the pavement, I ended up having a stress fracture on my femur and a knee contusion that left me with a hip problem I still suffer from today. Unfortunately, I gained a bit of weight back and had developed a bad leg/hip imbalance that discouraged me from getting back into fitness. After seeing doctors that just wanted to perform surgery on me and physical therapists that never really helped, I decided to try personal training. Thankfully, my issues started turning around after II started seeing Laila in February 2016. Laila offers the perfect balance of encouraging yet tough coaching that I didn't know I would respond so well to. Even when you're unsure of a higher weight, she pushes you to at least TRY and lets you know that there is no shame in failing (real failure is not even trying, isn't it?).  However, she never sacrifices weight over form. Her eye for form correction helped me balance out my body and become stronger than ever. In 5 months, I was able to progress in my weight lifting, increase my energy, and return to a more active lifestyle after balancing my body out more. Not only did I FEEL better than I had in a long time, but I also lost 15 lbs, a ton of inches around my body, and  gained confidence- everyday I felt like a BOSS . I also couldn't believe that my waist had dropped down to the same size I was as a cardio queen, despite being 20 lbs heavier! I can't recommend Laila enough! I've been working with Laila for about 6 months now and I am the strongest and healthiest I've been in a really long time. I have been an athlete my whole life, I even played college tennis. After college, however, work and life started to kick in and diet and exercise were the least of my concerns. I hit an all time high with my weight and felt unmotivated and sluggish. That's when I found Laila. I can honestly say she changed my life. She hasn't just been my personal trainer, she is also my life coach in a way. She is always asking how I'm doing, if nutrition has been going well, and how my dogs are doing. She is knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions or concerns I may have. She's a strong motivator but she's never too pushy. If I ever miss a workout day or have a bad meal she will never yell or make me feel guilty. We discuss it and she helps me figure out the reason why I made those decisions. She's more of a "I'm disappointed and let's try to do better next time" kind of motivator. I used to be a skinny, weird nerd. After almost a year of sessions with Laila I am now a muscly, weird nerd! In all seriousness, Laila is great to work with. She's kinda but firm, and pays close attention to our form and is help positively shape our workout sessions. My wife and I do three 30min sessions per week, and for us the 30min sessions really fit us. We were used to doing hour long sessions with other trainers in the past, but we never felt like we were able to give it our all for the whole hour. The 30min length lets us feel like we can give 100% or more the entire time.Laila's also willing to work around our travel schedule. We've taken a couple trips in the past year where we've been out of the country for a couple weeks at a time and she's been great about rescheduling lessons. She also was kind enough to provide instructions for us to work out while abroad and keep ourselves in the game.I have seen an appreciable change in my muscle mass since I started with Laila. My arms and chest have bulked out, my stomach and waist have slimmed down, and my thighs are becoming nice and tasty. Rrrowr. Most importantly, my energy and confidence levels are higher. More...

Laila is absolutely AMAZING. She's easy to talk to, not intimidating at all, and helps you reach your goals. I've been working with her for about 9 months and she's had to push me at times. The great part is that she finds a balance and never pushes me away; I really appreciate that. When I've had stumbling blocks (and I've had them), she took the time to understand them and support me through it. When I've had to travel she builds a workout that is flexible and easy to implement no matter where I've been - including out of the country where we had no idea what I'd have available. The best part: I see improvement and a change in my physique! I turned 50 this year and things started to change. :-P She helped turn back the hands of time. ;-) Total miracle worker! Laila is a fantastic personal trainer. She is very knowledgeable and confident in her training style. Working along side her has taught me how to become a better trainer. She knows how to comfortably push and motivate her clients to work out harder. Moreover, she is also a very kind and personable. The best part of her training is that her clients see results, and everybody in the gym notices her clients shedding the weight! So lets start by saying that I'm a female, a mom and in my 40s.  I'm also the opposite of a natural athlete.  I've never been "in shape" or able to stay with a fitness program for any extended period of time.  But after jealously watching my husband's improvements after working with Laila for half a year, I decided to give her a try.  I've now been seeing Laila three times a week for at least the last 8 or 9 months, and I have never been so fit in my life.  I feel strong.  I have muscle definition where I've never had it before -- not even when I was 40 pounds lighter.  I can plop my 45 lb. son on my shoulders like he weighs nothing.I have used trainers before and they either didn't push me very hard, or they ignored me when I said that exercises hurt and injured me.  Laila does neither.  When I say that I hurt in a bad way or feel sick, she backs off and works on other muscle groups, while suggesting things that might help speed healing.  But she doesn't let me not push to my limit because I'm feeling lazy.  Laila also insists on good form, which seems to me to be fundamental.  When my technique is wrong she will back off on the weight as much as necessary to get me back to good form, and then moves up from there.  I've seen other trainers in the past who just push for maximum weight and reps while tolerating sloppy form.  In my book that's just setting yourself up for a serious injury.Of course, it takes commitment and cooperation on my part.  I have to show up and be all in. Even when it sucks -- walking lunges and pistol squats, I'm talking to you.  But the results are worth it. More...

What can I say? Laila is freaking fantastic. I had a nasty back injury with some terrible sciatic pain a few years ago, which lead me to have really poor flexibility and and some serious muscle imbalances. I had babied my back for so long after the injury, that my core muscles had become weak, which opens the door for further injury. I knew that this was a bad spiral to be in, but wasn't sure what exercises to do to develop strength without aggravating my previous injuries. I decided to work with Laila after reading her positive reviews and doing a one-on-one assessment with her. I'm so glad I did. Laila is fantastic at giving very specific, concrete critiques on your form and providing modifications and differing challenges to meet you at your level. She has a wonderful depth of knowledge and is able to cite current research to justify her methods. She can push you without being pushy, and is a fantastic motivator. Even outside of our sessions, she checks in regularly to make sure you're on track with your workouts and giving advice on nutrition (even following me on myfitnesspal and giving specific critiques on what I've been eating the last few days).If you would have asked me a year ago if I would ever have the strength or confidence to attempt the workouts I'm able to do now, I would have answered with an emphatic no. Laila's workouts have given me more than increased strength and flexibility. I'm more confident in my body and my abilities, less fearful of injury, and better able to perform my job because my biomechanics are so much improved. I began working out with Laila and Push Fitness on Jan 2nd 2014. It was a gift from my wife.  I have always been a runner--6 days a week--and never had much interest in or understanding of the benefits of strength training.  Training with Laila has probably been the best thing I have ever done for my body. She developed a program for me tailored to my specific goals. I work out with Laila for 30 minutes, twice per week. I work out a third day for 30-45 minutes on my own with a workout provided by Laila. Her workouts have tightened my core, improved my upper body strength significantly and allowed me to lose weight without losing muscle mass.While she will point out that "eating right" is my responsibility, she is great about checking up on how and what I am eating. Her advice on significantly reducing carb intake in my diet helped me choose a diet regiment that worked for me. It was not an overnight thing (I am a slow learner and love my carbs).  It took about four months of her prodding and responding to what I was eating for me to get serious about rethinking my diet.   The combination of Laila's weight training and a much lower carb diet allowed me to drop 35 lbs of weight--almost entirely fat. The weight came off easier than ever--in about 4 months-- and in the process I lost virtually no muscle weight thanks to Laila's routine.A couple other things about Laila...She communicates well, checking up regularly via email and is quick to respond to questions or a need to reschedule due to my travel/work conflicts. She is also not a 'warm and fuzzy' type trainer.  She is more like a coach--she is tough and pushes me to continually progress in my training. She will not take excuses for eating poorly or missing workouts either.  Overall, it has been a terrific experience and 100% recommend Laila and Push Fitness if you are seeking a customized strength training program and personal training experience. Started working with Laila about 6 months ago with the purpose of participating in Tough Mudder.First thing I noticed was her attention to my weaknesses. I had worked with 3 fitness experts before and all of them told me that my hamstrings are very tight, Laila is the first trainer who actively worked on fixing that problem and made a significant improvement. She comes well prepared about what exactly we are going to be doing in the session and none of our exercises are a guess work. She knows how much weights we are targeting, how we are warming up to them and takes notes of my performance to prepare for the next session. She is quick to respond on text and email, is very diligent about starting on time, never misses a session and adjusts to my schedule readily. In last six months, she just postponed one session, in which she gave me 4 days advance notice, which is phenomenal. I would highly recommend to anybody looking to work on their fitness. More...

PushFit came into my life at a time when I am finally  committed to my health and well being. I found Laila coincidentally as I began my search for a local personal trainer to help me achieve my fitness goals via Yelp, and there she was happily waiting for my call. Fast forward 13 weeks later, I have never felt more stronger/positive towards achieving my fitness targets than ever before!  While this is my first experience with a personal trainer, I am truly forever spoiled. Laila has been an incredible motivator, coach, and cheerleader and created a personalized fitness routine designed around my strengths and weaknesses. She is incredibly flexible, and very patient with my sometimes disbelief towards which exercises I can do (medically I am categorized as morbidly obese). But the most important thing I can say is that I feel truly cared for during the workouts.Her attention to detail and focus on getting the right "form" is very valuable to ensure that the 1)routine is working and 2) I don't' get hurt. Other than moderate soreness, I have yet to feel an injury from the workouts. I cannot recommend her enough, and wish I had 100 other friends looking to be healthy, because I would send them straight to her.She also provides me with nutritional tips and does a great job at educating me about each of the exercises and how my body should be reacting. I had heard great things about Laila's training sessions prior to seeing her and have nothing but praise after training with her! If you ever have the opportunity to be taken on as a client, do not miss out!!!Relatively new to the personal training experience, I had goals to increase my muscle mass/leaning up a bit, but didn't know what to expect. My past experience with workouts was that they became boring and I stopped seeing results. Definitely not the case with Laila's workouts. Working with Laila has been fantastic. In our first consult, she really broke it down in terms of how to achieve the results you want. She does a great job explaining the importance and balance of proper diet, weight-training, and cardio to efficiently obtain the body you want. I am relatively active, but need guidance on new workout routines, exercises, and proper form. I definitely saw results within just a few weeks. One thing that also stands out with Laila, is that she focuses on form. I've seen so many PTs training people in the gym, where they are flopping around and in pain - just a road to injury! This is my second week working with Laila at Push Fitness. My goal is to get stronger and learn to do more weight bearing exercises as I approach menopause.  I was a bit skeptical at first thinking that 1/2 hour sessions would not be effective but read other reviews and thought I would call.  When we met I was impressed, she gave a comprehensive initial consult that included some nutrition information, her plan based on my goals, and some exercises to see where I am at currently. Well after my first week, I noticed that I was able to keep up more with my husband on our Saturday morning hike.  I think the work we did on my legs during the week were really helpful.  Looking forward to more sessions with Laila (never thought I would hear myself say that about exercise!) I heard about Push Personal Fitness through the grapevine. I've had personal trainers in the past and I've always felt kind of intimidated by them. It's tough to explain, but getting to the gym to do more than cardio is tough as a woman. When I started working with Laila, I knew it would be a positive experience! Laila is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, without being intimidating. She educated me about the benefits of lifting weight that go beyond the hour I used to spend on a treadmill or elliptical. Laila is very flexible to my needs and willing to discuss and help me confront my fears. She works with my schedule and finds unique ways to motivate me when we aren't in the gym. I started training with Laila at Push Personal Fitness a few months ago for all the usual reasons (lose weight, look better, etc. ).I didn't realize how much of my exercise routine was garbage until Laila taught me the most effective and safe techniques.  Instead of wasting my time on a bunch of individual machines, she explained the importance of compound lifts that activate WAAAY more muscles.She's been great to work (out) with, for information and inspiration!  I'd strongly recommend to anybody looking to turn their life around.
