It's a fairly decent gym, its a good size well equipped and had several vending machines which take card(contactless too). The gym has decent sized changing rooms, showers are disgusting though, it also has a small car park. On the hole its what you expect for a very cheap budget gym minus the showers I think there is no excuse how ever this appears to be an issue with pure gym and not just this one. More...

Nice gym, pretty basic but can't complain as the rates are nice and cheap. Can get super busy but the app tells you how many people are in there at any one time so you can avoid it when it's heaving.

Friendly atmosphere and clean, well maintained environment. Despite the below comments about it being busy, I tend to come around 7am and have always found available equipment or space to work out. If not, 9 times out of 10 the other users are happy to share the space.Staff are very friendly, approachable and professional. However as with the Brighton Central gym, the majority (not all however) don't seem overly keen to teach classes, and give the impression they'd rather be doing PT work than teach. More effort could go into encouragement and correcting form. It's a shame, as they offer such a good range of classes. Regardless of the negatives, this is outweighed by the positives of this place and given the competitive value of membership, I'm glad to have chosen this branch of PureGym. More...

Absolutely amazing modern gym with a great atmosphere. Machines and exercises are all great and new. A very friendly vibe and a great place for beginners to pro trainers. Really happy with this service and would recommend it to everyone. The only suggestion is to update the cardio machines to have a screen with Netflix and other fitness apps. If your like me that love to use cardio while watching or listening to something without bringing a tablet, then I wouldn't recommend it here as you will get bored during a 30 minute just starring straight on to the wall.Otherwise, beautiful gym. 10/10. Good place to train but tends to be busy from about 2 pm onwards till around 9 pm.Also You need to be at least 16 to sign up but there's no maximum age limit - Everybody Welcome!

Visiting Preston on work for a week, getting a temporary membership to PureGym in Preston couldn't have been easier.Access is 24h and independent of any members of staff - everything is completed online. The gym equipment is clean, nicely spaced with ample quantity to cater for busy people wanting hassle free workouts. The 24hr option is perfect for me personally, so I can pop in any time after checking the app to see how many people inside. Great gym with great price. Enough room for everything you want to do even if you want to have classes there's many for you that you can attend. Price is very good for what you can receive our of the gym so don't hesitate and get into this gym. There is car park for you if you are driving or even if you are using bicycle you will be able to lock it outside the gym. The good thing about this gym is that it's open 24/7 so you can always attend it, early mornings or late evenings you will be able to get in by using your unique pin code. Great range of new equipment - gym has just opened. Clean changing rooms and showers. Bring your own padlock for the lockers (or buy from their vending machine).
Bring your own shower gel.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Water fountains available, but no paper towels to wipe down equipment so bring an extra towel.
All of the TVs play the same pure gym music channel.
For the price you can't really fault it.

New gym new equipment (which is a pro, having equipment that isn't broken and work is always nice)
However, I don't see anything special about this PureGym, it's quite average in most respects - and when compared to some of the london PureGym's or TheGym's it does seem a bit inferior.
The equipment is plentiful enough especially how quiet it is at the moment (this will probably change over time). The showers are ...eh.
And has a few vending machines as per usual to purchase protein bars, drinks and padlocks.
Overall should be a nice quiet-ish gym for around a year with enough equipment that you don't need to wait around.
