I had an amazing experience having my first facial appointment with Total Vitality Centre. When I called them, the admin receptionist was very knowledgeable and detailed about their services, friendly staff, and they will give you a hot towel before the session. I had the “Time to chill” facial relaxation done and Lucy was my aesthetician. The first 30 minutes was very relaxing, and I fell asleep for the remaining time, indeed it will make you at ease. The session was about an hour and a half long, after that my skin felt light and firm because of their organic products. I have been seeing Myrthe for Bowen therapy for over a year now. I have had a broken tailbone for half my life and after having my kids it got even worse. This is one of the only places in Vancouver that offers a vegan, 9-free non toxic regular and gel polish. Now that they are using madame glam, I love to come to this place and get my mani-pedi. I bought a groupon voucher. When I first called to book an appointment I was told they only do groupon manicures Mon - Wed and you must book an appointment 2 weeks in advance. I was quite shocked at this. However I then called back a few weeks later to arrange my appointment the lady said they have availability that day and she got me booked in for the same day which was great and a nice surprise, as I thought I'd have to wait 2 weeks. I had a vegan manicure by Maria. I was offered tea/coffee/water on arrival which I appreciated. I was also 5 minutes late to my appointment due to traffic and the staff were accommodating when I called in advance to let them know. I had a really great experience with Dr. Lindsey Jesswein with IV therapy at Pure 5 wellness in Burnaby. I contacted her because I was feeling like my immune system was crashing and I felt really worn down and tiered all the time, especially after traveling a lot and work stress lately. She recommended a few treatments and that I come into see her. She was very flexible with her schedules (which is hard to find with a lot of doctors) and accommodated my every need. If you are looking for a Naturopathic doctor, Pure 5's Dr. Lindsey Jesswein has been so knowledgeable and helpful with a really horrible, lengthy bout of eczema on both palms of my hands that I have been dealing with for the past year. I met her through her mother in a totally unrelated matter, but she was just the person i needed to talk to and get advice from.We received results for my allergy test a couple of weeks ago and it turns out i am allergic to many things. My body could no longer tolerate any more of the food I had been eating my entire life ( i'm in my mid-to-late 30's). Not knowing I was allergic to such a wide variety of foods and although it came as such a shock to me, it made so much sense when the eczema just got worse and worse. Anyway, Dr. Jesswein suggested a wide variety of things i should look into changing, most importantly, my diet, if I was to see any improvements in my skin, which I have been for almost a month now, while also on medications. She also recommended a few pills (probiotics and Andrenal) and glutamine powder as daily supplements to balance out my gut flora and for times of stress etc. She went to the trouble of making sure none of the lengthy ingredients lists contained anything I'm allergic to - that has been a really tough job finding things my body is able to completely tolerate as of late.All of the great advice I have been following of Dr. J has worked for me pretty well so far. What I felt the best about, however was how caring she is of my situation. She saw my heart break when I was told I could no longer have eggs, potato, wheat and gluten or dairy. But, she made coping with the initial shock much better to deal withThanks for all of your help, recommendations and compassion, Lindsey. I appreciate your time, recipes, emails - all of it.
