Leslie was amazing from the initial consult, to the day of. We had our engagement photos with her, as well as our wedding day. Leslie is fun, professional, and has a great eye. Leslie went above and beyond and gave advice/helped out with things that did not even pertain to photography. Leslie brought along a second photographer, Shannon, with her on the wedding day. We had never met her previously, but she to was great. She brought a sense of comfort, professionalism, and another keen eye to the event. We are not an easy couple to capture but they both were patient, made us laugh and guided us to get the perfect pictures. We cannot wait to see the full collection from the day of. I had the luxury of working with the lovely and talented team at Pure Aperture Photography this past weekend. I'm a wedding planner and I am always relying on the wedding professionals hired to help ensure the day runs smoothly and that our clients are happy. I choose Pure Aperture for my wedding photography this past September and cannot be more pleased. Myself, as well as many brides would hear leading up to their wedding day of past brides being disappointed with their wedding photos. ...this will not be the case with Pure Aperture! My wedding photos came out beautiful. I was so happy with their style of capturing great moments and all the details in between. The team for my wedding day was made up of Heather and Melissa with Lesley for editing (she was unavailable that day for shooting). They worked with my somewhat picky requests of candid photos, guests photos and pics of all the details, and doing all this at an outdoor wedding in +30 degrees with great professionalism. My wife and I initially contracted with Lesley and Pure Aperture to conduct our engagement and then wedding photos. Lesley was incredibly easy to work with, very friendly and accommodating to our needs, she knows the area well and had lots of great suggestions for where to do the engagement photos. On our wedding day, Lesley and her partner were amazing. As with any bride and groom we were nervous and wanted things to go as smoothly as possible, Lesley was able to work to the schedule that we set and we have incredibly beautifuls photos from that day.
The birth of our son followed that wedding and we contracted with Lesley and Pure Aperture for a 'Baby to Belly' photo package. This package included maternity shots (with myself, my wife and our daughter), Lesley was again able to suggest the perfect location for these photos. Following the birth of our son we had studio sessions done at Pure Aperture, and then one final session of photos for which we were able to return to our wedding venue (Chudleigh's Apple Farm - which is itself an incredible wedding venue).
Throughout the time that we have used Pure Aperture as our photographer we have been over the moon impressed with both Lesley and the photos that she took. I can not say enough good things about Pure Aperture, and it was all more than worth the reasonable rate that we paid.
On behalf of my whole family, I can definitely say that any future 'official' family photos will be done by Pure Aperture.

Lesley recently shot my daughter's first birthday cake smash and we had such a great time!! She made everything go so smoothly and the bubble bath at the end made for an easy clean up (which was a huge unexpected bonus) and added extra creativity to the images! Not only did we have a great time but Lyla did as well as she worked so well with her. I recommend Lesley with the highest confidence should anyone be in need of an experienced photographer for some quick professional headshots, which was the service I chose.

Lesley was very accommodating last-minute when I decided I needed more recent photographs, and what stands out aside from her photography expertise is that she is very responsive. Lesley is also warm, friendly and charismatic, which are essential traits in a photographer to help put subjects at ease. Her website and photo gallery tools are also excellent and user-friendly.

Lesley was a professional and caring photographer. She was able to work around our schedules and find a time to book us in for a newborn session. During the session our little one was not cooperative, Lesley remained calmed and reassured us that the photos would look great, even with a fussy baby! We were able to show her poses that we wanted and pick from a variety of accessories that she had available. One thing that I did notice when browsing through the finished product, was that there was a lack of attention into the details especially when doing the family poses, as this is when the mishaps started to really show. As you put so much money into the photos you expect perfection, but I found that I couldn't choose a lot of the photos due to lack of attention to details. For example, my hair was in the way a lot of times and so part of my face did not show in the pictures and a quick reminder to move it back would have allowed my face to be shown. Along with that I explained that I had a change of clothes as we were not sure about the background colour of the studio. I mentioned that if I or my husband looked washed out in the light shirts we could change into a darker shirt but nothing was mentioned after that, and looking back at the finished photos I definitely looked washed out and wished I had on the darker colour. Another example is my husband leaned in too much when posing and so he's completely hunched over, and a quick reminder again would have improved the photos. My shirt was lifted up and so you could see the nude unlay of my maternity pants in the photos, which was embarrassing for me and not pleasant to look at in a finished product. Overall those details should have been fixed before the photos were taken and in the end we would have ultimately had a better selection of family photos to choose from within the newborn session. Lesley, you have a STELLAR eye for detail...like nothing I have ever seen before! When booking Mike Streeter for our wedding, we knew we wanted a second shooter. We hoped that you would be available, you were the perfect one for the job! We were ecstatic when Mike told us that you were available. All the little details we created from mirror signs to our nutella wedding favours, you got every single one of them on camera. As a Bride, I was able to relax knowing that you were capturing the boys moments in the morning while Mike was with me and the girls. Thanks for always being there to fix and position my dress, it looks amazing in every shot all thanks to you!!

Our family has had the privilege of working with Pure Aperture for both of our children's new born photos, 1st year photos and several family photos. Lesley did newborn photos for my daughter who was only 8 days old. She was so gentle and sweet with her. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming as well and the whole time kept my daughter cozy while taking her photos. I will gladly come back and get more photos with Lesley done again!

We used Pure Aperture for our wedding and engagement shoot, and Lesley was a pleasure to work with. My now husband was not at all excited about the engagement shoot and it ended up raining the day of our shoot but Lesley was able to make both of us feel comfortable and we ended up with some great photos! It also rained the entire day of our wedding but Lesley and our second photographer Mike were able to get creative and we got some amazing and unique photos in the rain. Thank you! More...

I hired Lesley to take photos of my daughter and her friends during their pre-prom, with the girls and guys all looking glamourous. Lesley was very accommodating and flexible. During that one hour, Lesley was able to take a lot of high quality pictures - groups/couples/individuals. They were great photos, especially of my daughter, making it hard for me to choose which ones I would be having printed and framed. It was really comfortable working with Lesley and me, my daughter and her friends are really impressed with the photos - a lot of which have been posted on their respective social media sites as profile pictures or cover photos.
