Pets World Kennels was highly recommended for my 2 lovely boys. Tried the free trial day, followed by a week away over Easter. I have never left my dogs at kennels before and not taken holidays because I was worried about leaving them but the staff are so caring - they really look after the dogs as if they are their own pets. When I collected them they looked so well and happy it brought a lump to my throat. I cannot thank Pets World enough for taking such good care of my best friends. More...

We had been using a different kennels for a number of years for our two girls, but were increasingly concerned by the anxiety behaviours our husky in particular was demonstrating every time we dropped her off and during her stay, to the extent that I was in tears at how stressed she was by the whole experience. When Pets World Luxury Hotel opened we decided to trial whether she would be better in a different environment and were amazed at the transformation. She’s no longer stressed but excited and happy to be in kennels. Both of our girls are so well cared for and looked after, the facilities are fantastic, and being able to see photos of them looking so happy during their stay are so reassuring.I can’t ask any more than to know our two girls are happy and have a home away from home that they love. We use kennels frequently for short stays and both of our girls have clearly come to see Vicky, Tom, Lesley and the rest of the great team as extended family - thank you all for taking such good care of them. When getting our new Labrador puppy we knew we wanted to take him to puppy training. Being our first dog we wanted some guidance on the best way to train our puppy. We came across Pawsitive Puppy School and saw it was run locally so we signed up. After attending the first class we were so happy we signed up. Vicky and the team were so helpful and made us feel very relaxed. They treat each puppy as individuals and take the time to give you the best advice and guidance. It was so lovely to watch our puppy grow and progress throughout the course and build friendships with other puppies. I would recommend signing up to Pawsitive Puppy School to any new puppy owners. Molly and I learnt so much. She has improved as a puppy so much over the last 6 weeks. Theirl training techniques were easy to follow and previous lessons were recapped in each week. The teachers were so friendly and helped with any specific issues we may have been experiencing with our pups. I was the only parent able to take our pup to classes which made some of the activities difficult for me. But one of the teachers always helped me in these activities so I could participate easily. We took our puppy Lloyd to puppy school and greenworld pets and it was great, Vicky and Tom were fantastic they were such lovely people and so great with Lloyd. We really enjoyed coming along every Saturday, and we are really going to miss it now his graduated but hopefully he will be doing the university course and we will really look forward to it. We took our puppy Inka to Puppy School at Greenworlds and it was just brilliant, she had a great time with the other dogs and we as owners came away with lots of help and advice of how to get the best out of her. The trainers Tom & Vicky are just great and are there to help you every step of the way. What do you love most about your job?
Everything! Although if we had to choose one thing (other than seeing a constant supply of adorable puppies!) we would say watching the progress which our puppies and puppy parents make week on week and seeing their personalities change and develop.
The puppies which walk through the door on week one are so different to those that walk through on week six, it's immensely rewarding to know that you have had a positive impact on both them and their owner in what can be an exciting and lovely but (sometimes) overwhelming time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A passion for dogs! We decided to train with Gwen Bailey (leading animal behaviourist) to run puppy school classes for the puppies of Kent so that we could provide a trustworthy, friendly, positive service to our local area and beyond.
If you love what you do it's not really work (well that's the way that we see it anyway) and what isn't to love about helping puppies have a positive start to their lives. It's a dream come true for us!
