Dr. Wu was excellent in overseeing all aspects of my knee rehabilitation. He provided me with a wide variety of exercises (and an app to manage them), explained the mechanical issues I was having in terms I could understand, and tracked my progress diligently - and he did all of this on his Saturdays, for my convenience (! ) I could not have asked for a better physical therapist, and if I have any issues requiring PT in the future I will be giving him a call. I was contemplating surgery to help relieve the pain and sleepless nights of old injuries when I was referred to Sheng Wu. We first learned about Sheng Wu by attending one of his free educational events. I did not expect to find such a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.First a thorough interview, second a physical examination to locate and carefully pinpoint the source of your pain to help create a plan for relief. He demonstrates exercises and educates you on the correct way to perform them. He may use adjustments or dry needling when needed. After I learned how to perform these new exercises, stretches, and correct posture, the results were less back and neck pain with more mobility and more energy. Thank you Dr. Wu for your wonderful care you gave me during my rotator cuff injury therapy program. I was very nervous in the beginning because I heard all the horror stories from other rotator cuff surgery patients about the painful experiences of physical therapy. Dr. Wu carefully evaluated and explained the plan of action. He was always taking me to the next level. I appreciate all he did to help me. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Wu for two weeks. Our time was limited because I had business out of town, but during this time I developed a very fond appreciation for his work ethic and patient care skills. He was very thorough and never made me feel like he was rushing to tend to other business or the next patient. He assessed my complaint area and explained the primary cause and how they resulted in secondary problems. In addition, with each exercise he assigned he explained the target muscles and how it would affect both my primary and secondary issues. During the two weeks we both saw significant improvement; he even managed to address other areas of concern that were not a part of my original referral. From the very first appointment it was obvious that he genuinely wants to ensure patients get back to full functionality. I highly recommend seeking a consultation with him. When I first got in the car accident, I felt ok. I noticed a slight headache. I was hit from behind while at a complete stop, The other car pushed my Tracker into the small Ford P/U in front of me. So I was thrown forward then back. I was diagnosed with a concussion and whiplash. After about a week I could not even get out of bed. I sort of rolled off. I met Sheng and he said he would help me. Trust me I had never believed in this remedy. I grew up "here take these". Then stumble around on pain pills. Dr Wu changed all that, after our first visit, I could move my neck. After several weeks of physical therapy, I was referred to Dr. Wu for some alternative treatments. Best decision they could have ever made for me! ! He was extremely thorough in explaining to me my treatment options and how they would help me in the future. Also, his patience was something that I had not experienced with other physicians during this process. He stayed in contact with me during treatment to make sure I stayed on task, and gave me every tool necessary to help me heal even when not in his presence. What amazed me the most is that after our very first visit, the headache I had for several months after my accident had completely disappeared. If that's not healing hands, I don't know what is!
