What makes a great website?
A great website turns visitors into consumers (and consumers into long-term clients).
The best websites are: beautiful, interactive, targeted, and have a specific "call-to-action."
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
1. Do you have a clear direction on what you're looking for, or would you rather us "take you there?"
2. How does your company make money?
3. Brand-wise, what does your company do well (and what does it suck at)?
4. What's your favorite decade? Favorite band? Least favorite Batman actor?
5. Who are your most successful peers in the industry?
What do you love most about your job?
Web-design, search engine optimization, and social media marketing are about:
1. Unearthing an identity.
2. Showcasing it.
What I love most about this is that it involves a meaningful relationship with companies (and the individuals who run them). One of my favorite facets is helping discover (or refine) what a company does, and showcasing it in a way that creates new traffic that converts into recurring revenue.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started a marketing company knowing it was foundational to all businesses -- marketing and sales is the springboard of all ventures.
