Kind, warm, welcoming people that made me feel good about coming back to yoga after a ten year absence. Looking forward to attending many more classes!

Lovely space with great teachers. Really nice to have a local place to go practice, everyone is considerate and kind! Really glad I found this place!

I’ve visited three different classes in this studio. What I really liked is that while all equally professional and attentive, every instructor has a different teaching technique, so one can pick a class that serves their personal fitness goals and style. The classes are also very affordable. I will definitely be back! More...

I've only taken a few classes so far, but have enjoyed them, as well as the professionalism of the instructors. It's a small space, and getting in/knowing when the previous class lets out and the door is unlocked can be a little confusing the first time here, but otherwise, this place is a gem.

Truly my favorite yoga studio in Brooklyn. Great teachers, small classes, cozy atmosphere...and it's affordable! I'm so glad I found it.

I just moved to Prospect Heights and I’m thrilled to find this yoga studion. Xi was substituting for the regular instructor and she has been wonderful I have some very specific issues that she is very attentive to.

I've had three classes here so far and feel like I've really found a great place to re-invigorate my yoga practice. Julie's restore and flow is exactly what I was looking for. She's caring and smart and has a great playlist. More...

Love this studio, and not just because it's near me. The instructors are encouraging, not at all hokey / culturally appropriative (like so many private yoga studios in Brooklyn! ), and the sliding scale price is so helpful. There's such a great community feel to it. More...

Friendly staff / Convenient location / Great instructors / Personalized attention / Great Intro special. I'm holding back one star because the studio was still in the conversion process when I went in March/April '17 and the space wasn't settled and a little dusty. That might have changed by this point so I have to go back! I really liked the laser lights making a "starry sky" on the ceiling in one of the classes I went to. More...

A very friendly neighborhood studio. Definitely sign up in advance and show up early, as some classes fill quickly!

Love Prospect Heights Yoga. I took my second class this morning, and both classes and teachers have been excellent. The sliding scale is great, and as this studio is close to home, I'm definitely planning to be a regular. The class sign up process is a breeze, and no penalty for no-show. Can't wait to be back for another class! More...

I am very picky when it comes to yoga classes. I am no pro and can get self conscious... but the instructors I've had have been so respectful and encouraging. They don't focus on correcting you all the time or make you feel like you are making mistakes, but instead want you to do what feels best for you. That's very important to me. Also, the studio itself is nice and relaxing. Perfect temperature, ambience, and amount of space. This is the first time I think I can consistently visit a yoga studio because I trust I'll enjoy all their classes!

A couple other things:

I did my first pilates class there (after having done a few youtube instructional videos at home) and I was really worried it would be too intense for me, but it wasn't! I didn't feel intimidated or pressured or embarrassed, which I was afraid of.

Also, the sliding scale is so nice. As a student living in New York, money is always a stressor, so knowing I can invest time in my health and not worry about money is a huge relief.

Highly highly highly recommend!

Have been to a few classes, and love this little studio. I'm so happy there's an affordable studio within walking distance of my apartment, they're hard to find in Brooklyn!

I was looking for a yoga studio in the area that I could afford, as a recently graduated social worker with low salary and high self-care needs! , and Prospect Heights Yoga was definitely accessible, with a very generous new student offer. I attended my first class and really enjoyed the warmth and personality of the yoga instructor. The space is quaint and homey. The class size was big enough that I did not feel alone, and small enough that I still received personal adjustments and attention. This studio is wonderful! I look forward to more classes at PHY. I was very nervous going to a Yoga class as I am not flexible at all and am not a skinny little thing. From my first class, I thought I found the right place. My instructor is very encouraging about doing what you can do and making it work as best you can. There are blocks and blankets and straps to help those of us that need them. There are yoga studios closer to my house, but I'm willing to travel to this one because I feel comfortable here and I keep showing up so I can get better. More...

I am a total beginner to yoga and have really enjoyed the basics classes I've taken so far - the instructors have included lots of modifications and create a judgement-free place to learn more about the practice and my body. Definitely not a scary place to learn as I imagined other NYC spots to be. Thanks! More...

This gem of a studio has been in my neighborhood for a while now but I only recently got the courage to go in for a class! All it took was one class with Raydene and I felt at home. The studio is nice and big but the classes are small so if you need help the instructor can see you and make adjustments. The classes were designed for both beginners and have advanced options but can keep it light - listen to your body! I will definitely be joining this studio regularly. Come join me! More...
