I went into project and came across Gary at the front desk and all I can say is- what a gent !! He helped me from start to finish and went through every sort of tile in the showroom , took some major time out to deal with my pickiness (LoL)
And the follow up emails and phone calls where as genuine as the first . Lovely staff and very nice showroom.

So far so good. Being let down by two tile companies we started again with a google search for a 'reputable tile company'.
Staff who know what they're talking about (even took time with us selecting grout colours) and prices that reflect the fact they're not in the middle of a high end retail park. That's not to say it's all warehouse. Showroom and displays are great. Oh, and coffee! That was a lovely touch. More...

We found Anne on Houzz and very glad we did – she was amazing! We will be recommending her to friends and family for years to come. Our project was a coach house conversion and reconfiguration of internal rooms to include installation of new bathroom, utility room and pantry.
Anne’s architectural expertise is flawless but the reason to choose her is much more than that. From the very beginning of the project she was aware of our budget, kept our tastes and desires to the forefront of decision making, and constantly went above and beyond to research new ideas.
At several stages when we came across unforeseen obstacles (always a problem in an old house) the project would have fallen through or stalled completely but for Anne’s project management and creative thinking. She was a pleasure to work with and we were so impressed we extended the scope of the project considerably once it was underway. We are delighted with the result.

A three bedroom terraced family home in Drimnagh built in the 1930's). Anne came highly recommended by a friend. Having procrastinated for years on this renovation, I finally contacted her and was I glad she accepted the job. She understood the brief, got to know me and my needs, took me on a journey that I would not have been able to do on my own. She is a true professional, knows her stuff, meets deadlines, is conscious of budget, has wonderful taste, knows all the pitfalls on a project such as mine and has lots of patience. Anne was so enjoyable to work with and guided me through the build with such ease and understanding. I am sitting here now in my new dining/sitting room with large bi-fold doors opening out onto a lovely landscaped garden with the sun streaming in through the windows with my lovely big modern kitchen behind me. My project was the conversion of a small North facing Kitchen into a modern living area. From the beginning Anne displayed enthusiasm interest and practical knowledge in her work. Ann Mahon Architect was instrumental in the design, planning and development of the refurbishment of our home. This involved structural work on the roof area and a number of support walls and the insulation of the house throughout but in the main concerned the development of a new kitchen/ dayroom area. This she achieved from within the existing structure and the addition of a small extentuon to the side of the house. This new room is now a beautifully designed area with an easy and perfect flow into both the living area and the entrance hall. It incorporates a kitchen area and a living area seperated by a n island unit and dining bar which was personally designed by Ann and custom built. The area has a large roof window and a very attractive wood stove giving the effect of a really bright and cheerful room. Overall we are well pleased with the project.
We found Ann to be very professional easy to work with at all times throughout the project. She was always forthcoming with valuable suggestions and ideas and developed a good working relationship with the builder, monitoring the project as it developed. 50 year old detached house, needed extensive renovation. Anne was very enthusiastic for the project and took into consideration our lifestyle requirements and budget. Her drawings were not what we had expected, but her lateral thinking in how the internal layout should be was inspired.
Very clear fee structure right from the start, no hazy grey areas. 2 other architects were excluded from our selection process because we could not figure out what their fees were.
She provided us with all necessary building codes and regulations, met deadlines, did up tender drawings. We project-managed, but Anne was very helpful and forthcoming with advice throughout the build.

The build itself: extensive renovations required to update all aspects of a 50 year old house. Internal walls were moved around within the existing footprint of the house to create more usable rooms, better flow and maximise the aspect of the house to increase light and height.

Of note: moving the original main entrance of the house (which was around the side of the house!) to a more appropriate location at the front of the house, and creating 2 ensuite bathrooms upstairs in a limited space under the eaves, incorporating them into/above the double height front entranceway - genius! No ugly dormer windows/bathrooms.
The front entrance is a modern zinc-clad double story height with glass and a double leaf front door.
The original kitchen was in the middle of the house, and is now a study and a bathroom.
Walls of the old garage and an old bedroom are removed, to create a guest bedroom with ensuite, and a long family TV / dining / kitchen area with vaulted ceilings, which spans the entire back of the house, southeast-facing, with a 6 meter glass wall/sliding doors opening into the garden. All within the existing footprint of the house, requiring only a very small extension.

The finished result: a very modern, bright, airy, warm, comfortable home. All rooms and spaces are utilised to provide very usable and practical areas.

When we bought our new house we needed to fully renovate/insulate and create more space by building on a new extension so, it was important to get a good architect to help us because you only get one chance at this.
We got Anne's number through a friend and in hindsight it was our best move.
She listened to our needs and ideas and came up with 3 to 4 good options, she also helped us with a list of a few builders who would be suitable for the project and who we went with.
Anne was with us from start to finish, she provided an excellent service, a lovely person who is always available and a pleasure to deal with. To us, Anne is a very professional, committed and thorough person who we would highly recommend to anyone.
