The Cbd red vevet with cream cheese frosting & espresso fudge was phenomenal. It's a vibrant yet chill, adult dessert and craft cocktail oasis.
Great boozy ice cream to be had here. I love this place. I had the Irish Car Bomb milkshake this time. I've been there two times before. It's always a great experience. Great service and ice cream. More...
Delicious ice cream and boozy options exist too! So creamy and such a unique offering of flavors and specials. It's the perfect sweet treat to have after a nice meal or just on a hot day! Staff is fun, engaging and they know their cocktails and booze quite well also! More...
Love this place. This was my last stop in Austin and wish I had stopped by sooner in my trip so I could've had it more than once. I had a scoop of vanilla in a shot of Bailey's topped with Bourbon whip cream. Delicious ! Two of my favorite unhealthy things combined - ice cream and alcohol, you can't go wrong. They're very friendly too which makes the experience all the better. If you're ever in Austin do check this place out ! More...
Alcohol + Ice Cream = OMFG!First off yes they have regular options however for adults their alcoholic options are seriously worth a try. The Horchata was a major yum! The scene was Chill AF. What's not to like?Located next to the new Takoba and certainly worth my jaunt from Chicon. Give it a try and get that yummy Horchata shake! More...
Wow, this Icecream is good! I didn't care for the CBD Icecream and prefer if they carried more flavors rather than just red velvet. The boozy espresso sauce and brownie bits are tasty. If you go between 5-7 there's a happy hour and it's not crowded! Cute interior and the servers are patient. More...
This is a must go to when you visit Austin! Liquor poured over ice cream? Yes please! Parking is very limited and place is a bit small but cozy! I docked off one star because they are not open on Mondays. Do not even think about sharing! You'll want your own! Their combinations are well thought out and are great complements to the liquor and the ice cream. Bring your family, your friends, coworkers! Everyone will love this place! More...
Amazing! Jack and Coke float with Bourbon ice cream was awesome
If you like alcohol infused ice cream this is the place for you. Only three or four non alcoholic options but very tasty. Friendly staff, clean place . Parking can be a major pain ( as every other business in this area). More...
Did an ice cream crawl across Austin with friends recently. We had one more stop after Prohibition but chose to end here finding near perfection. Booze + Ice Cream = Awesome.Actually, having just hit 4 other ice cream joints I went the drank route instead. We initially ordered a speckled jungle bird to share. When it didn't match the GF's expectations she went back to the bar and went the From Russia with Love route. Others in the group indulged in anything from boozy milkshakes to beer. This decidedly was our overall fave during the crawl. Couple of points marked off for drink prices; charging a buck plus tax for a commemorative sticker for my home bar. More...
Delicious boozy ice cream. The old fashioned is delicious, but expect to spend what you would on both a drink and an ice cream combined. Nonetheless worth it, especially if you don't have four kids that will order overpriced treats. More...
I came here for the unique boozy ice cream flavors. I was able to sample nearly all of them before deciding on my favorite: pecan buttered rum. The Vietnamese coffee was probably my next top choice. I also shared the CBD red velvet flavor with my friend, but it really just felt just like regular red velvet ice cream whereas the boozy ice creams definitely had some kick to them. The ice cream lived up to the hype, but I was probably most impressed by the unique cocktails. One of them tasted like the embodiment of summertime and the other tasted like a subtle sophisticated pickle back. I would definitely come back here to try out more of the menu options. More...
Awesome spot. Quite unique. Dropped in after dinner downtown. Thwy are ooen til midnight. Sampled several ice creams and decided on the peach sundae made with the cheesecake ice cream. Great choice. It was so good. The peaches were from another local company. Worth the hunt to find them as they qere the highlight as expected. Parking is tricky. Thwre is a small amount behind the building and then at Revival next door after 6. A must do for sure! More...
This place is amazing! First time here and everything was fantastic. Frank was the bartender and he was great. Can't wait to go back.
Love Prohibition Creamy.Bourbon Milkshake will be my downfall. Can't get enough!~Come down here every time we are in the area. Have tried all of their boozy ice cream and have never been let down.Have some interesting concoctions they make here.Highly recommend trying everything on the menu. More...
One of my go-to places for a date. Selection is diverse enough to have draw you back. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Comfy little spot with a great selection of ice cream flavors that leaves plenty of room to explore, but doesn't veer too far off into out there tastes. Came with a fairly sizeable group around 8 on a Friday and was able to get seats for all of us, but by the time we were leaving it got to be pretty crowded. I had two scoops with the "bourbon" whipped cream, I'm hoping they mixed up and gave me the regular whipped cream because there wasn't anything too different than your run of the mill whipped cream. My scoops were the green fairy, which was a mint chocolate chip with absinthe. The mint and booze balanced together really nicely, it had that classic strong minty flavor and you could definitely notice there was alcohol, but it didn't come close to overwhelming. The only downgrade I would give it is that it was much more icey than creamy. My second scoop was the pecan buttered rum. This tasted like if you melted down a pecan pie and blended it together with a shot of rum. The flavor was spectacular and had just the right amount of rum noticeable. This one also had the overly icey issue, but the flavor was good enough to overcome. Overall, I think it's a great spot to come for dessert with a small group, the vibe was very relaxed and even when it got crowded you could easily hear everyone in your group. The ice cream isn't the best in town, but it's certainly unique and worth checking out. More...
Amazing ice cream for the adventurous. Delicious combinations with various alcohol with stellar service. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Unique concept, very well done! Great cocktails and desserts.
love this ice cream place! I got the 'afternoon delight', which is red velvet ice cream with cream cheese frosting, infused with cbd. My husband got some sort of boozy milkshake that he really enjoyed, then he started eating my ice cream as well. Will definitely return! More...
10/10 recommend! We tried the Pecan Buttered Rum, whiskey chocolate, and CBD infused Afternoon Delight. We went during happy hour and got 2 scoops of icecream and a free topping each, all 3 of us didn't finish our portions. Super nice place, staff is super sweet! More...
Service was fast, ice cream was absolutely delicious, I recommend the whiskey chocolate with a shot of Bailey's!
Order the cheesecake ice cream, it’s hands down one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had and one of the best things we’ve eaten while visiting Austin.
Not just boozy, but also delicious.
The Boozy Oozy Sundae was extraordinary, i really liked their Classic flavors as well. Overall a cool joint to indulge yourself with ice cream & alcohol.
Order the cheesecake ice cream, it's hands down one of the best ice creams I've ever had and one of the best things we've eaten while visiting Austin.
My favorite dessert place ive been to in austin! Be warned parking is terrible we drove around for 15 mins before going up near the residential areas and walking down. But the actual shop looks like a cabin in the woods and inside its got little tables and a bar that youd order at. We got the whiskey chocolate, prickly pear sorbet and vietnamese coffee and none of them disappointed. Each flavor was perfectly matched to a liquor that suited it and it wasnt overpowering. I think the portions are good for the size and id definitely go again to try their other flavors! More...
Very cool spot to endulge in some booze and ice cream. They do have non alcoholic ice cream and kids are welcome.
Ice cream so good it’s worth getting diarrhea over. - me lactose intolerant
Attentive staff ready to attend. Offered samples of the flavors and readily answered questions about the ice cream as well as their preferred choices. Clean facility with a well stocked bathroom & available seating inside & out. Go spend your money here and enjoy your delicious boozey ice cream; I suggest the pecan buttered rum. More...
Really cool spot. Excellent service!
So delicious! They have literally the best dark chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten! If you are into boozy shakes, try the grasshopper!
Fav spot for me and the hubby. Cute little house! I always go to the Rum Buttered Pecan and Dark Chocolate!!! Nice place to cool down especially this summer. Only complaint is the restrooms were pretty gross last time we visited. I would've held it if I could. More...
Came by on a Sunday night and there was a decent crowd. Outdoor seating is perfect for you pups, inside has a couple tables and a bar on the right. The line for the ice cream is just a straight shot from the door (pun intended). I ordered the prickly pear sorbet which had mezcal in it. Unfortunately it was too tart/sour for me and gave my tongue a slight freezer burn feel. The alcohol taste was strong in my opinion but my friend didn't think so. She got the whiskey chocolate and bourbon whipped cream which was delicious! The whiskey chocolate was a very rich chocolate taste and the bourbon cream was airy like whipped cream and had a relatively strong bourbon taste, not just an afterthought. The menu also has a bunch of sundaes and floats and that Irish coffee float sounded super yummy! Maybe next time if I'm back in town! Such a cool place to hang out! More...
Had butter pecan ice cream with shot of frangelico and drizzle of salted caramel. Only one person working so it took awhile, but yum.
booze + ice cream = what more do you really need? alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions available and all are delicious. the boozey cherries are by far my favorites. such a fun place to go check out, highly recommend! More...
This place is worth checking out! I thought it will have a settled taste of alcohol but the ice cream actually has a strong taste of alcohol. I order the whiskey chocolate ice cream with bourbon whipped cream. In both the whiskey chocolate and the whipped cream had a strong taste of the alcohol. It isn't like overly strong that it taste like you took a shot but it is you get the taste of alcohol but it has a sweetness to it that the alcohol isn't over powering. The milkshake and sundae looked so good, I want to try it next time. They have an actual bar there that you can order cocktails from. There is outdoor sitting too so you can bring your dogs More...
I enjoyed the ice cream and the ambience inside the building. I will for sure go again! I was basic my first time! I had the boozy buttered pecan( forgive me if i dont say the exact name on the menu)
After going to an alcoholic ice cream shop in New York I was curious if there was one in Austin since we are just as "hip" in the food scene. Lo and behold, Prohibition Creamery! There are a handful of flavors that they make on location and change depending on the season. It is important to note that there are a few parking spaces in the back of the business, but this is on the east side so it can get filled up quick. We showed up right before a huge crowd of people came, including a rowdy bachelorette party. Since we were the only ones there and it was our first time, the lady was very nice and patient to let us try a couple of different flavors.I ended up making my own sundae with a scoop of the Afternoon Delight (CBD Red Velvet ice cream) and a scoop of the Whiskey Chocolate with Boozy Brownie Bites with a drizzle of Espresso Fudge, some Luxardo Cherries and Bourbon Whipped Cream. YUM! I definitely liked the Whiskey Chocolate more than the Afternoon Delight, which had kind of an odd finish and was a little more icy than creamy. Either way it was deliciously boozy and a great way to cool off. We will be back as the summer heats up! More...
A unique ice cream experience with a nice indoor space and outdoor space. The ice cream is delicious and boozy! Limited parking
Love the concept and space. The team was great. I didn't love the CBD Red Velvet ice cream, had a weird aftertaste for me. But the whiskey ice cream was great. Also, they had special ice cream for dogs outside, made me wish I was with my pup. More...
Yummy ice cream. ;)
Can't wait to go again! Fun
Delicious, rich, and boozy.
Amazing alcoholic and some non-alcoholic ice cream. Shakes, sundaes and more. Even ice cream for dogs!!! Must come back all way from Australia to try some more of all these great things.
Bananas Foster boozy shake was off the MF charts. Three ok hands
It's a bar with alcoholic ice cream options. Kind of like an adult soda fountain. I had a coffee Stout float. It was pretty good. A bit pricey, but a fun treat.
Ice cream and booze.
So good and such surprisingly delicious combinations
Really interesting menu with both boozy and non-boozy ice cream and milkshakes. Well worth going to!
If you want to try alcoholic ice cream in Austin, look nowhere else.
Everything I've had from here has been delicious!
If you are looking for a great place and amazing ice cream. Than this is your place! The atmosphere is super chill, it has that speak easy vibe. The ice creams are amazing they also have non-alcoholic ice creams as well. This is the perfect places to end a date night! More...
Yummy and creamy!!
Great spot to start off a night out, or to just chill with friends. We got scoops of almost all the flavors to try, and some were better than others. The ones with the best flavors (and likely the most alcohol) tended to be a bit icy for ice cream, while the creamier ones had lighter flavors. Next time I'd probably get a scoop with a shot poured over it. The shakes are delish! More...
While the list of flavors at Prohibition Creamery isn't long, I found the options a bit overwhelming when we first came in, and it took me a few minutes to figure out what I was looking at. This isn't your run-of-the-mill ice cream shop. By the time you get to the counter, you need to decide on a boozy milkshake vs. liquor-based ice cream. Or maybe you'd prefer regular ice cream with a shot of liquor poured over it? But with options like butter rum and chocolate whiskey, it seems like you really can't go wrong. And this place is no joke. They use a lot of alcohol in their masterpieces, and they will card you. I chose to get a scoop of the Vietnamese coffee ice cream (coffee liqueur-based) and a scoop of the non-alcoholic cheesecake ice cream. Both flavors were amazing. I would definitely get them again without hesitation. I ordered my ice cream on a waffle cone, and the cone itself was the only part of my experience that I wasn't a fan of; it was a bit stale. My friend ordered a triple bourbon milkshake and she loved it as well. The inside of the building looks like a renovated speakeasy. It is a trendy, dimly-lit atmosphere, and a nice place to hang out. It was crowded on Friday evening, but we still managed to find a seat. Overall, this place definitely gets an A+ for taste and atmosphere. It is a bit on the pricey side, but there is truth to the adage that "you get what you pay for." Combining two perennially great things like ice cream and liquor makes for a unique and delicious experience that is well worth a few extra bucks. More...
Man was I surprised to try this place when my wife found a creamery like this. The whiskey ice cream and the CBD ice creams was what Inordered and it was delicious. The waiters/barista paid extra close attention to details making sure we were taken care of at the bar. The only downfall is their parking availability, but the jay walking is worth it for the ice creams. 5 stars, as I would come here again tomorrow if I could. More...
Ice cream parlor but also a bar. We got the deconstructed old fashioned which was my favorite as well as mezcal charcoal ice cream. Overall delicious and would absolutely go back and try additional flavors! More...
Perfect place for a Sunday afternoon. Delicious ice cream. Good drinks. Good and quick service.

As Guy would say "it's out of bounds". Amazing boozy ice cream, we've tried majority of the flavors and they do an amazing job. The bartenders make really good drinks also. Just a great place to enjoy an nice Austin summer evening! More...
This place is super awesome!!! When you walk in the place is kind of small but they have enough tables for a group of 4-6 people. Any larger and it might be over crowded. Theres only street parking so be aware of that. My boyfriend and I came here to try their boozey ice creams and absolutely love the flavors! We tasted the vietnamese coffee, original bourbon and black magic. We ended up ordering a scoop of original bourbon and i got the scoop of black magic with bourbon whipped cream and a luxardi cherry. Everything was super yummy! Both portions together were about $15 in total. I'd recommend coming here just to enjoy good company and yummy desserts! Great for friends but not too large of a crowd. They do have a large bench/couch to sit on but the tables are pretty small. I'd probably come back here next time and try their speakeasy flight. I just wasn't brave enough to try it the first time since I had a long drive ahead of me after eating the ice cream. More...
Alcohol and ice cream count me in! This place is really neat. They have an assortment of boozy flavors to choose from and you can even add more if you'd like. I went with the boozy banana fosters shake and it was super yummy. I didn't taste the alcohol in mine. My husband got a float and you could taste it in his. I'd come back for sure. More...
This place is amazing! Who doesn't want boozy ice cream with CBD My husband decided he wanted a boozy milkshake and we Googled and found this place when in town. I walked in and truly thought I was in heaven. They have delicious ice cream that they throw on some booze or CBD tincture. There are some sundaes listed on the menu as well as milkshakes or you can create your own magical adult ice cream treat! I ended up getting the special which was red velvet ice cream infused with CBD oil and cream cheese frosting and hot fudge. It was absolutely unbelievable. And those home made cones! My god. Everyone should really come here. For real. This place is magical. More...
A must try if you are in the are. The flight is perfect for 2.
Great service and boozy shakes!
Will go back again next time visit Austin.
Came here with a bachelorette party it was super fun & the ice cream was delicious great vibes!
Very trendy place. Neat atmosphere. The Nutella milkshake was great! They even gave a cup of whip cream for my pup :) definitely recommend this place for some ice cream or beer or both!
The ice cream doesn't have much booze, but you can top it off with a shot.
Go here. Seriously. The best.
Boozy Ice cream! Yummy!
Great place! A little hard to find but well worth it. I got the buttered rum ice cream topped with candied pecans. My friend got the sangria shake. Both were really good. The sangria shake flavor reminded me of the taste of my grandfather's homemade wine. Nice cozy place with a bar and inside and outside tables. Alcoholic ice cream never crossed my mind. But it was definitely very good. Will visit this place again soon. More...
The staff was very kind and attentive. Bring your appetite because portions are large.
Two things I love, ice cream and Bourbon. They threw them together and added some brownies. 10/10 would stop again.
This place is typically fantastic. Their wares are delicious and fun. The service is often very good. But this is the kind of place where it’s nice to sit when the weather is delightful. Unfortunately you cannot do that here - because their front patio is usually lousy with smokers and vapers fogging out the entire front yard. More...
We shared a single scoop of the bourbon ice cream and it was delicious. Definitely enough for two to share!
Enjoyed the ice cream. Deck seating in front.
The place has a good feel to it.
Awesome staff fantastic ice creams and shakes!
Cool spot with great ice cream and service. Friends and I stopped in for some scoops and beers on a Saturday around 4:00. The bartender hooked us up with tasty bourbon scoops and milk stouts . Ate half like a float. It was dope. More...
Um... bourbon + ice cream on a hot day... yes please. I was surprised no one was here the warm day I went in but the flavors I tried were delish. I felt bad just sampling because then there'd be no room for a whole scoop so eventually landed on getting a scoop of pecan buttered rum after trying the sangria, bourbon, tiramisu and some others. All were a perfect balance of booze and ice cream in flavor and experience and the menu offered good alternative non dairy, non boozy options if people prefer those as well! More...
A must go just to try the boujee boozy sundae, get you some drinks while you wait too.
Did someone say BooOoOzzZY ice cream Yes that's what they're known for but since alcohol is not my thing I had one of their non alcoholic flavors. The choices are limited though I think there were three non boozy flavors so maybe leave the kids at home. I had the dark chocolate sorbet which I believe was vegan and though I expected the non boozy flavor to be just okay (because they really do specialize in those alcoholic flavors) it was actually real good! The dark chocolate sorbet was less like a sorbet and more like a heavy creamy thick ice cream. So delicious and definitely super chocolatey. I shared a single scoop with my friend and it left us both satisfied so it's a good sized scoop! I believe it was over $5 but the regular flavors are less expensive than the boozy ones.Nice place but not reallly any parking you'll have to park on the street and pay which is what we did. More...
We came 11pm one night so happy they were open late! Been stalking this place on Instagram for weeks. Boyfriend got Two scoops of absinthe ice cream and a shot of Jameson(Incase ice creams didn't give him a buzz---whoops. It did!!) I got cheesecake ice cream scoop with espresso drizzle and bourbon whip cream - which also left me with a lovely soft buzz. We thoroughly enjoyed. For the product, prices were actually reasonable!!! We're def headed back soon for date night. That bourbon whip cream is calling my name! More...
This was our second visit and oh so good! Hubby and I got a Grasshopper and Horchata milkshake. They were delicious, just the right amount of boozy, and we sat outside on a beautiful sunny day. Pricing is a bit steep, only complaint. More...

What more of a guilty pleasure can you get with booze and ice cream? This creamery takes dessert bar to another level by providing boozy (and non-boozy) ice cream as well as a full bar! The bartender was cool with us sampling every single flavor and even provided recommendations based on our favorite alcohols. Love yourself some chocolate? Try the Whiskey Chocolate. Feeling brave? Try the Green Fairy (mint ice cream with absinthe). You can also try these ice creams with a pour over of select booze. You're free to choose from Bailey's, frangelico, cointreau, Patron XO Cafe, amaretto, Kerrygold Irish Creme, and Kahlua. Not feeling boozy today? They have classic vanilla, dark chocolate, cookie dough, and seasonal flavors as well. But feel free to choose from the pourovers! I promise, it's a fun time.We decided to try the speakeasy flight which included three flavors: a deconstructed old fashion with bourbon ice cream and bourbon whipped cream, the Green Fairy with mint ice cream and absinthe and a coffee liqueur pourover, and a sangria sorbet with a prosecco pourover. The bourbon ice cream and mint ice cream with absinthe were equally indulgent and decadent and the sangria sorbet was a nice and refreshing fruity ending to this experience.Highly recommend this place for anyone in the Austin area or if you're visiting! It's worth a shot! More...
Food was good but a bit pricey for what google had its price tier set at. This establishment also shared space with the brewery to it. The brewery was okay. They had some beers they only served in like a 10 or oz glass but didn't specify which beers where 16 oz and which ones weren't.Place still had a cool vibe. More...
best ice cream place I've been so far, not just in Austin.
Very friendly bartender who helped us with different ice cream and bourbon combinations. Can’t go wrong with vanilla ice cream with bourbon. Next time I’ll try a chocolate ice cream with an imperial stout. Parking is simple with street spaces and parking with the ATX app. More...
Great ending to any night!
This place had some of the best milkshakes. It also has some alcoholic ice cream options as well as a full bar. It's definitely worth going to and hanging out with some friends and play some of the board games they have available.
Oh my God!! The best boozed deserts ever!! The combinations are stunning! The Sundays are brilliant and so are the shakes! A must must visit in Austin!!
CBD- infused ice cream seems a bit gimmicky, but the alcoholic milkshakes were enjoyed by the rest of my party
Irish Cream and Cookies and Cream were both goodMilkshakes looked great
Umm boozey milkshakes are what they advertise and amazing boozey milkshakes are what we got. Loved it! Seemed quite for a Saturday night, perhaps a little out of the way? But worth the trip!
Excellent ice cream place. I’d like to try all of their favorite!!
The boozy milkshakes are so so good!
Ice cream and booze! I don't really need to say any more
Interesting concept with good ice cream. The set up could have been more sophisticated.
Delicious boozy treats
My favorite ice cream spot in town. When my partner is in town, we make sure we give this place a visit. It's perfect for a date night. They specialize in alcohol infused ice creams, but they do have non-alcoholic ice creams, and a full cocktail bar! Get a scoop of black magic. It has a wonderful 'numbing' sensation to the pallette (At least for me) and it tastes great! More...
This place is as incredible as you could possibly hope a dessert bar to be. Everything I've ever tried there was delicious and they didn't skimp on the booze either. We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and even gave us a bunch of free ice cream that they wouldn't be able to sell all of before it expired. Even without that, this place would get 5 starts and I stop by every time I'm in Austin. This place's menu has so many good options so be weary if you're a bad decision maker. The bar tender was also really helpful with this.My only con is that it's a little pricey. The prices are definitely fair though since the portions are huge and you're also getting alcohol. More...
Excellent place to finish the night to satisfy your adult sweet tooth. We tried the Irish Coffee and Pecan Butter Run.
This was one of my favorite desserts from my recent trip to Austin. Super unique concept of a whole shop dedicated to boozy ice cream. When we got there, there was no line, so it was pretty quick. I ordered the pecan buttered rum and it was so good! I regret not adding a shot to it though, because another member of my group ordered ice cream with a shot on top and it was so delicious the way the flavors complimented each other. I would say definitely give this spot a shot if you're in the Austin area! More...
This place was so good! After dinner and hitting up a couple bars, we went to Prohibition Creamery for a treat. The place looks super cool and has a full bar inside. I got the pecan buttered rum + whiskey chocolate in a waffle cone. Their scoops are generously portioned so sharing two scoops with my husband was the perfect amount. Definitely recommend this place! More...
Omg, the cbd infused red velvet ice cream is everything. This place does spiked ice cream the right way. The flavors and unique and every concoction they come up with works. If you're on the fence about a flavor just get it, odds are it's totally delicious. Great ambiance and good date night place. Try everything! More...
What's better than ice cream?! Ice cream with alcohol. I'm glad I was able to find this place while I was visiting Austin. The flavors are terrific and you seriously taste the booze. I wish we had something like this in LA; we probably do but I'm not aware of it More...
My husband and I went here to celebrate my birthday. I found it via Apple maps and the thought of ice cream and alcohol sounded right up my alley. Plus it looked swanky and had good reviews. I got some kind of dark chocolate charcoal whiskey sundae (don't recall the name of it) and my husband got a Grasshopper. Both were delicious! The place was dimly lit but in a good way. It DID feel like we were in a secret prohibition basement/swanky classy bar (again in the best way possible). I recommend this place for sure! The only two downsides for me were the parking (they do have a tiny parking "lot" but even though they were not very busy inside at the time, their little lot was a no-go. We had to pay $10 for parking in an adjacent lot. The other downside was the pricing. I think our two items combined were over $20. For this reason only, we only had those two things and then moved on to a nearby bar to get some cheaper drinks. More...
After a little bit of drinking with my girlfriends, we had a hankering for ice cream. What better way to finish a night than with boozy ice cream? The workers were really friendly and let us sample all of the different flavors. I ended up ordering the black magic, which is an activated charcoal ice cream with mezcal. I topped it with bourbon whipped cream and buttered pecans (when in Texas, right?). It was delicious! I'm a total lightweight and it didn't push me over my limit, so the alcohol is probably not too strong. I think the texture of the ice cream wasn't normal, probably because of the alcohol content.I'm not that into alcohol, but ice cream literally makes everything better! More...
Absolutely delicious! My two favorite things- drinks and boozy ice cream. Bartender was friendly and made the stay enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Outstanding! I LOVE this place!
I enjoy all of the options you have at Prohibition Creamery. You can do a boozy milkshake, ice cream with a shot in it, etc. The bartender was more than happy to help our group and let us sample several flavors! Warm and quaint place on E. 7th! Great if you have a sweet tooth after dinner! More...
Love this place!
Very delicious boozy milkshakes, worth every calorie!
Definitely can get tipsy eating one scoop. pictured: butter pecan rum, sangria sorbet, and triple bourbon milkshake
Booze in ice cream. It's a thing, and it's wonderful.

Delicious and cool vibe
Fun place and fun flavors in Austin. Tasted about 7 flavors and all were delicious!!
Milkshake was so worth it
Neat concept and a quirky spot in Austin to get an ice cream fix beyond the norm.Parking is cramped and can present challenges. Otherwise spacious place with tidy restrooms.AFTERNOON DELIGHT debut on V-DAY 2019.Could possibly be my finale with my impending new life in FL More...
Great vibe and booze-based delights. Even classic ice cream / milk shakes if you're not feeling up for it.
Pretty dang good!
Get a scoops and a pourover
To be honest, I didn't know if I would like to have alcohol in my ice cream. But I am really glad I tried it! I ended up devouring mine very quickly. I have the bourbon and candied pecan ice cream, topped with whipped cream. You could definitely taste the bourbon, but it was in no way overpowering. The pecans were also so sweet and caramelized, and worked really well with the bourbon flavor More...
Cool place where they make boozy ice cream and drinks. I ended up getting just a beer here, but tried my friends' ice cream and they were all delicious. The whiskey chocolate tasted like a very rich dark chocolate. I got the Zilker blonde ale and it was pretty good. Can't complain. Overall a very cool laid back area to check out. More...
My friend knew I wanted to try the best eats Austin had to offer, so she took me to this speakeasy ice cream joint. Parking was a bit tricky, but we found a spot by the fence along the back. There was a line to order and sit at a table, so we opted for the bar. No waiting, the bar was wide open so we grabbed two seats and checked out the menu. We ordered a boozy sloth sundae and a scoop of pecan buttered rum. Both were amazing! The server let us try the bourbon, green fairy and Irish coffee all delicious. Im pretty sure this got us tipsy, but it was a perfect start to a bar hopping night. More...
I came here with my bf trying to experience something new. The ice cream is delicious. I got the bourbon and pecan ice cream on a waffle cone with bourbon whipped cream and my bf got a scoop of bourbon ice cream. My waffle cone had a HUGE hole at the bottom though. Everything was good except customer service is really lacking, Megan was short, not very friendly. As a side note, there is a 2 sample limit so pick wisely! More...
Booze and ice cream? YES!
Perfect view of the Texas State Cemetery too!

Good place for desert! ❤
Alcohol plus ice cream, you can't beat that. Try their deconstructed old fashioned.Parking is a little confusing in the back. You have to pull into the alley behind the block of shops. More...
So I forced two friends to go here. We were full and cold, but when I heard booze+ice cream, this was a must. And boy were we glad! The idea is fantastic as are the creations. Please move to NYC, Brooklyn specifically. More...
What a fun concept! Booze and ice cream...hmm...need I say more? We decided to try the flight for a little of everything since it was our first visit. We loved the deconstructed old fashioned and "grasshopper." Not so much a fan of the sorbet with champagne...just personal preference. A little pricey, though. More...
(4.5) I have been wanting to go try this place for past 2 years.FOOD//I got the 2 scoops - Signature Bourbon and Black Magic - with Espresso Fudge. I was expecting the portion to be small, but it was almost 2 times bigger than my expectation. The kick of bourbon and El Silencio were not strong, but not too light either. This was excellent. My friend added a shot, which I should have done to get the ultimate experience, but this will do!SERVICE//The bartender was very patient and friendly. Also, she was carrying the shop with people on bar and non-bar (i forgot what it was called, ahaha) ALONE. ATMOSPHERE//I love the black and white theme! I would imagine how it would look on morning time or even snowing morning days.SURROUNDING//East Austin community?! More...
A little out of the way from downtown, but definitely worth a visit. They have quite an extensive menu of beer, cocktails, ice cream, and boozy ice cream. They make most of their alcohol infused ice cream and toppings in house. Bartender said it takes a few days. They also make their in house ginger beer (best I've ever tasted). Be prepared for a kick of whatever alcohol infused ice cream you end up getting! More...
Ice cream was excellent. Had a minor mishap with a milkshake, but their staff took excellent care of us. Cool spot with a handful of tables and nice selection of options. Will definitely be back!

Great whiskey sours and icecream
Tasty adult shakes!!
Booze and ice cream - great combo.
So delicious! They had a nice variety of ice cream flavors and topping choices. The cocktails were amazing and best of all the staff were beyond friendly and very helpful!
Nice atmosphere, interesting concept. The Irish cream ice cream was fantastic, my son ordered the deconstructed old fashioned and was a bit disappointed in the flavor and the size for a sundae that costs nearly twenty dollars.
Love this place and always stop here for bourbon ice cream when I'm in town... at least once. It's the best, and the staff is very friendly/welcoming.
What is best in life? Getting fckued up while you get fat. Get the banana shake, it's fantastic, bananas not too overwhelming, perfectly balanced as all things should be.
The best boozy ice cream ever!
Who doesn't like booze and ice cream combined? I tried a boozy milkshake and was so sad when my glass was empty. They have a full bar too, so there is something for everyone.
Went to this place on recommendation from a friend because they have boozy ice cream and shakes! The ice cream parlor is very cute and "prohibition era themes". There are many types of ice cream that are homemade, several of which had booze!! The caramel and fudge toppings are also homemade and are TO DIE FOR. I got a sundae with a bourbon brownie ice cream and caramel. It was an amazing combo! They also have several shakes that my friends ordered and they really enjoyed them. More...
Um, yes. This place has such a cool vibe, has vegan options, and the servers are muy inteligente. Great for a date night or catching up with friends or hanging out with your mom 'cause that's what cool kids do.
Staff was friendly and spent time answering all our questions. Ice cream was awesome and shakes spot on.
Great cocktails! Wish the ice creams were boozier? :)
Great ice cream. Fascinating flavors that will surprise you. Highly recommended.
Whether you want ice cream or booze or boozy ice cream this is the place to come!!
Ice Cream was very good! Though the cookie dough is a definite must have!
Great little shop and very close to home. Wasn't feeling a boozy drink so got a candy bar shake and was very much impressed. Great area to chill and have a great conversation. More...
Their boozy ice cream was delicious! Whiskey chocolate and Pecan Buttery rum covered with chocolate sauce.
Great atmosphere with unique shakes and ice cream
Busy but with the wait!
Love this place. They make a great chocolate old fashioned. The boozy milkshakes are also great. Ambiance and bar has a cool feel to it.
So me and my girl headed to Austin and got drunk by like noon. We had her tiny dog and my pitbull. She wanted ice cream and I wanted alcohol still. No shit she finds this little gem. I probably ate to much and had this amazing coffee martini thing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. A must try if you're in the area! More...
Great location, great atmosphere... service could be better. We tasted five different flavors, all five were very distinctive from the others; if you appreciate the flavor of bourbon and ice cream, you will most certainly enjoy this place. If you live in the Cedar Park Leander area, take the train, it's only a couple blocks away from the stop, so you can consume as much as you want and you don't need to worry about driving under the influence of some amazing alcoholic ice cream :)I've now had the pecan buttered rum twice and I'll have to have it a few more. The rum flavor is subtle the butter pecan ice cream is rich and creamy and when it clears your pallet that rum flavor creeps right back, whoever came up with this was genius. The whiskey Chocolate does the same but not as rich as the rum. Try it out y'all, you will not be disappointed. More...
Very delicious mix of options! The staff was friendly too.Had the Whiskey Chocolate ice cream and the Spiked Peppermint Hot Chocolate. HIGHLY recommend the hot chocolate!! More...
What can I say? A speakeasy style place that serves alcoholic ice cream and has games. You really can't go wrong with that combo. The Green Fairy ice cream with absinthe alone was worth making this a stop. More...
Very delicious ice cream!! We taste the whiskey chocolate with booze bites and it was amazing!! You can definitely taste the whiskey :)
This place is heavenly
Hard to beat boozy ice cream, and Prohibition certainly delivers. The triple bourbon shake with a bit of chocolate syrup is downright amazing.

Great ice cream. A must atop at if you are in Austin.
Potent ice cream
Awesome car bomb shake
This place is so neat! Everything was delish.
DELICIOUS ice creams, nice atmosphere
Great ice cream! I Highly recommend vanilla & cheese cake flavor!
Love this place! Ecellent adult confections, boozy ice cream, shakes and cocktails. Always a winner when we pick visitors here.
Great ice cream!
So many good flavors to try here and the atmosphere is great if you have a group of friends to enjoy this creamery with.
Alcohol + ice cream + great atmosphere. This place will easily become your new obsession.
We showed up really early, around 5, the place was empty (obviously not prime time) but the bartender was super nice, explained the menu to us, the establishment is VERY clean as are the bathrooms. My girlfriend and I both really enjoyed what we had I got a Bananas Foster and she got the Sangarita. More...
YUM!! Go here!! So chic and fun! I mean booze + dessert how could one not have fun. I also heard they are having some Halloween specials right now!
Oh yum. We got the boozy sloth sundae and mmmmm MMM. So good! The brownie bites were delicious. Wished there was more. The black ice cream did have a slightly strange/different texture but that's because there is alcohol mixed in there. I didn't mind it at all though. It was just the right size for two people even though I could have finished the whole sundae myself!I would really want to come back to try the rest of the menu! More...
I don't know why anyone would rate this place less than 5 stars. If anything, that should be me. I heard about this place when I did a search for "things to do in Austin" and came across an ice cream sandwich pop-up here with chocolate chip cookies from Tiff's Treats. Unfortunately, this is during the boil water advisory so Tiff's Treats had to cancel. You know what though? Even without the pop-up, you could still try their regular menu! I learned from the internet that their Twitter handle is @boozyicecream. I knew I was in for a good time. They have adult ice cream! You can get scoops and sundaes and toppings and even liquor poured over. They also serve milkshakes, cocktails, floats, and a few beers on tap. (The Zilker Milk Stout is one of the best Zilker beers!) They have a happy hour, too!I was worried about being paralyzed by choice, but made an executive decision to just try 2 scoops. I got the buttered rum pecan and whiskey chocolate with small brownie chunks. I opted not to go fancy with toppings or pour overs because I wanted to just try the ice cream straight, er, as straight as I could and see if it could live up to the name. So good! Both were creamy and delicious and the liquor flavors weren't overwhelming. They're located in a renovated old house. The seating is kinda old fashioned soda shop-y, but it's all serious with dark wood, but a streak of fun with their sloth and liquor. Accepts credit cards. And because they mostly have boozy ice cream, there weren't a lot of kids or families here later in the evening! If I lived here, I would come back all the time to try everything! More...
Fun, fun, and cuuuuute place to sit a relax for a bit. We had the bourbon ice cream and a some yummy mixed drinks. Highly recommended this spot.
Liquor and Ice Cream! What's not to like? The Whiskey Chocolate & Brownie Bits Boozy Ice Cream was way better than I expected. I first went here to give this place a try but now I'll most likely come here again to try the other options.Highly recommend if you enjoy ice cream and drinks More...
I loved the Triple Bourbon milkshake! Definitely a must if you like bourbon! My husband had the bananas foster milkshake and he loved it. It's not cheap ($12 each) but really yummy More...
Alcohol and ice cream? Can’t get much better than that! I came here for the first time today and had a great experience. I tried a couple of the flavors and they all tasted good. The flavor that stood out the most to me was the Bourbon! The bourbon was nice and smooth - not too overwhelming and it was blended pretty well with the ice cream. I also got a scoop of the dark chocolate sorbet which was surprising - it didn’t taste or feel like a sorbet at all, tasted just like ice cream. All in all, this is a great place to come with friends to drink, eat some good ice cream, relax, and play some board games (available on request!). Highly satisfied with my visit and I will be back more often! More...
I'm impressed! The boozy ice cream concept is pulled off very well here. I definitely appreciate that the ice cream tastes like an alcoholic treat (meaning it doesn't just taste like ice cream). There is a good variety of options and the ones I tried were all very good.I'd return here for a date night dessert! More...
"Wide variety of flavors, cool environment, friendly and creative staff."
So delicious! Im still thinking about that turtle sundae lol
Such a great place with great staff
Best ice cream in town. A must for visitors.
Delicious! The employees are awesome too!
It was really good.
Really nothing but great experiences here, so I will be back.
Absolutely a must go if you are ever in Austin . They serve delicious alcoholic ice cream and booze shakes. Parking is challenging on the weekend but totally worth it.
Really nice vibe with great flavors. A bit pricey (~$6-$12) but you are getting desert and drinks all at once! I'll be going back
The boozy ice creams and milkshakes were delicious! We particularly liked the triple bourbon shake and the tiramisu and buttered rum ice cream.
Try From Russia With Love if you are a milk lover like me! Their Bourbon ice cream is also great! Not sweet to death like most ice cream in the grocery store. And...I love the crispy cone haha!
Amazing boozy ice cream , I had the Deconstructed Old Fashioned and it was beyond amazing and full of flavor .
Went here tonight for the first time and will definitely be back. We got the Triple Bourbon milkshake and the Mezcal Last Word cocktail and both were very yummy. Possibly the best milkshake I've ever had. And the mezcal last word had a smoky aspect that I really enjoyed. I would order both again but I want to try more of their menu! More...
A friend turned us on to this intoxicating place to finish a day of sightseeing, touring, eating, experiencing music and cidering. The boozy ice cream was perfect. I love ice cream, I love bourbon, I now love bourbon ice cream. Great spot in this up and coming neighborhood. Friendly service vice too! More...
Friendly staff, lots of interesting flavors.
It's so delicious, I decided to go with the boozy sloth Sunday. The black magic ice cream has a unique flavor wanting you to have more. Though this creamery is a little more pricey you get what you pay for especially with booze included! More...
Very very nice and super tasty! I will definitely come back again, plus the restaurant is super cute and the service is great!
Wasn't sure what to expect but I was not dissapointed! I got the Vietnamese Coffee and tiramisu. Icecream was creamy and you can definitely taste the alcohol good blend! Cheers!
Server recommended cheesecake ice cream. Yes, it was addictive. couldn't stop scooping it up and putting it in my mouth, even when the sane part of me was saying 'stop it'. It's been a week and I can still recall the memorable taste. More...
The bourbon ice cream was delicious. Very friendly and accommodating service -- they let us taste the ice cream before we decided on what to order. However, parking was cramped.
Boozy ice cream for the win! I was in Austin over the weekend and naturally, turned it into a food adventure! We rode around on scooters and discovered this little gem on the way to our next food stop. The ice cream fanatic in me spotted it immediately and HAD to stop by! I went with 2 scoops of the spiked ice cream, tiramasu and Vietnamese coffee. They nailed both flavors SPOT ON! I really wish I had room to try the milkshakes and a couple more flavors. Just so you know and I want this on record, I was convinced (FORCED) to leave room for the rest of the food adventure. Ugh, I need new friends. Needless to say, I love the concept and the ice cream was the perfect consistency! Can't wait to come back! More...
Recommend the deconstructed sundae and the death by afternoon. Friendly staff and clean facilities.
My boss told me to bring my wife here and I'm glad I came. Cool concept , great area, friendly and knowledgeable staff! We had some of the best ice cream in town. It's smooth, delicious, and interesting flavors abound! Brought some friends and my niece as well. People of all ages can enjoy the treats here. amazing selfie lighting in the restrooms here. Clean and private. Also had cute signs 4/5 More...
How have I played Skeeball so close to this place every Tuesday and not been here to partake in the delicious boozy ice cream! Shame on me. The service on a late Tuesday night was good, especially with only a couple of folks manning the joint. They let me try a variety of flavors before committing to the decadent tiramisu with bourbon whipped cream and a shot of khalua. My tastebuds were in a creamy cool paradise! I'll definitely be back! More...
What a great concept! Booze-infused ice cream!!! I came in here because of the servers at Gus's Fried Chicken had recommended it to use. Her description: "booze ice cream". And as soon as she said that, all four people in my party looked up and smiled. I knew then that we were definitely going to Prohibition. The people who worked behind the counters were helpful, friendly, and all smiles. I decided to go with a regular milkshake: Nutella. But I did ask them to add a shot of Bailey's. Pretty good.A couple of my friends shared an ice cream cone and another friend of mine ordered the Boozy Sloth Sundae. The friend who ordered the Sundae enjoyed it so much, he actually ordered a second sundae for himself!!! That's saying something! The only downside of this place? It could get pricey. My milkshake with a shot of Bailey's was around $14. Add tip to that and it was almost a $20 milkshake. So yeah, there's that.If I lived in the Austin area, this place would probably be my go-to place for 1st dates. They got drinks, they got ice creams. Nothing to make you commit to stay for the date. If it's an awkward date, finish your ice cream and bounce! Will visit again. More...
What a fun spot! Our group of friends were traveling to Austin from NYC for a wedding. We heard that this city is the place to party but unfortunately, my husband doesn't really enjoy going out too much. What he does love is ice cream. He looked online and found this gem of a place, Prohibition Creamery. This basically combined the things we all love most, booze and ice cream into one! This place was the perfect compromise for our group and we took a shuttle directly here. We all chose different ice creams but I settled on the flight of 3. It's such a charming spot and we really loved all the boozey ice creams we tried. It was a great first night out! More...
This is an Austin MUST TRY! Totally cool concept. The ambiance is both of a bar and creamery combined. It was awesome and although the temperature was cold, the energy was warm and welcoming. We were greeted upon entry (always a plus). I had their version of a French 77 and it was freshly made to perfection. The bartender was new, but did a terrific job on taking care of us. My friend ordered some whiskey boozed ice cream and she loved it. We stopped in on a Wednesday night and had an all positive experience. I will definitely come back here. Thanks for a great time! More...
My husband and I decided to stop in Prohibition Creamy for a little nap cap date night. The place was simple yet cozy. My husband ordered his usual drink while I, on the other hand, decided to try the booze ice cream. I went with the Whiskey chocolate brownie bites topped with Bourbon whipped cream. I enjoyed the Ice cream, but the brownie bites had a little too much whisky infused for my liking. But overall it was definitely on point! The server was super sweet and attentive to our needs. We will certainly be back for their happy hour specials soon. More...
Try the Black Magic ice cream! It's activated charcoal goodness... super unique and really tasty. They have a composed sundae with it that comes with a black waffle cone and brownie bites. Yum!There's a good amount of tables and booth seating inside, with a full bar if you're not in the mood for ice cream. More...
Really great find here on Austin. Parking in the back and a cute small porch in the front. Great seating onsite and the staff is super friendly. Excellent t drinks and the boozy ice cream is great! Must try. More...
Great tiny little shop with delicious ice cream and interesting flavors. We really enjoyed eating outside and the worker was super accommodating about letting us try the different flavors!
Who doesn't want boozy ice cream on a hot day? this place is super hipster and cute inside. They have board games and there is an actual bar you can sit out to have regular alcohol as you please. I came during happy hour on Friday and got two scoops of ice cream with cookie dough topping. I tried some flavors and my group liked the sangria one the best. I preferred the tiramisu flavor and the black magic which had charcoal and Mezcal. The bartender said that two scoops of ice cream equate to one beer. More...
I order the chocolate boozy brownie and it was delicious! You can taste the booze in the brownie and chocolate ice cream had such a rich taste. I loved it.
A very unique spin on the typical ice cream one would normally purchase on a hot day. They combine alcohol and ice cream into the perfect summer treat to cool down on. The place looks real classy from the inside and has an open bar as well. Parking may be an issue. I believe when I asked each scoop contains about 1 shot? Not completely sure. However, I did order the pecan buttered rum ice cream and it was just amazing, completely melting in my mouth. And, their scoop sizes are super generous. 1 scoop is actually a lot. More...
Prohibition Creamery is... AMAZING. We ordered the Speakeasy Flight which included Vietnamese Ice cream with a shot of Baileys, a Deconstructed Old Fashioned Sundae, and the Sangria Sorbet with a shot of Prosecco. Absolutely AMAZING!! Loved all of them- my favorite was the Old Fashioned Sundae and I don't even like Old Fashioneds! More...
Yummy! Had low expectations but this place definitely delivered to the hype from online. Flavors were unique and tasteful. A very classy approach. Will be back when in town again More...
Cozy spot to enjoy adult milkshakes and toppings. The vibe is perfect for a date night and the seating is intimate. The flavors are delicious!
During a hot, humid day in Austin, Prohibition Creamery is must! Even during a cold, rainy day in Austin, this place is a must! Boozy ice cream, who can resist? Not only do they serve ice cream, but they also serve awesome drinks.Pecan Buttered Rum: Amazingly tasty. Creamy with a subtle hint of rum. Loved how they were generous with the pecans too! More...
+ = What on earth is better than boozy ice cream? They nailed the flavors, and after a few scoops you can get a bit tipsy! I had the Brownie Bites and it was amazing. Also had a few scoops of their espresso one. Expert level would be to pair the scoops with drinks too. Only reason I give 4 stars is because they could work on their atmosphere. Not bad, but not notable. Just kinda a bar with ice cream behind it. Would be cool if there were more personality or story around the brand. More...
I enjoyed visiting this creamery for the first time with my Austin family! They have a variety of things such as boozy milkshakes and other types of boozy treats. Stop by if you're thinking about it. My order was basic but I enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't too much. I personally think liquor and ice cream is a LOT, however this works. Picture attached. More...
Ice cream and booze. How can I refuse? This gem is five stars all-around - decor, ambiance, service, and, most importantly, treats. My boyfriend ordered the horchata milkshake, and while I do not care for coffee, it was a delectable delight. The Vietnamese coffee booze-infused and cheesecake ice cream ordered by our friends were quite nice as well. I would definitely come back to try other concoctions when in Austin again. More...
I don't normally like ice cream but this is definitely worth a visit if you're in the downtown Austin area. My husband got the bourbon milkshake and I stuck with some scoops of boozy ice cream in a waffle cone- so amazing !!
Unreal!!!Do not miss this. There just aren't words. Alcohol and ice cream go figure.
So delicious! Had an old fashioned and the tiramisu ice cream! You can definitely taste the booze but it's not overwhelming at all! Highly recommended!
Put this on your bucket list. Now. I'm pretty sure I saw Prohibition Creamery when Food Network reposted an Instagram post. If there's one thing about Austin, it's that they're doing a lot with pioneering food. So you can get the best of both worlds here: cocktails, ice cream, or BOTH. When we travel, we can never just do one thing so we did all the things. My husband got the Triple Bourbon shake to start followed by the Grasshopper shake. I got the Sloth Sundae and then the Burnt Orange cocktail. I'd go into all the goodness that makes those things amazing, but I'm sure you can tell by just the descriptions and pictures below. The sloth sundae is all black and basically the most unique sundae ever. The triple bourbon shake is basically that - bourbon and ice cream. The cocktails are amazing as well. There's a full bar here so there's something for everyone. Games are available upon request. They also have outdoor seating at picnic tables. Yes, the prices are kinda high, but you're really just paying for quality and novelty. It's really worth it. Great for dates, vacations, celebrations, or any time you have an excuse to go all out. More...
Good date spot. The ice cream and shakes are awesome, staff is a little shy, but that doesn't take away from the awesome atmosphere and delicious treats. I have been twice now, and will continue in the future. More...
Ohhhh My Goodness! Man this place serves up some tasty treats. So me and the One stopped by here on our trek around Austin on a Saturday afternoon. Quaint little cozy place. They have board games. The bartender(is that right?) was very friendly, pouring us water right away (Maybe he could tell I was winded. I'm telling you getting healthy is going to be the death of me).Of course I'm on a Alcohol Sabbatical at the moment, so I got my virginized. But it was a hella Chocolate Milkshake. Not too thick(which I hate) but not too thin either. It was just the right consistency, richness. In one word: MmmmmmmmAnd my girl who abhors sugar had her own scoop of cookie dough and wound up stealing my whipped cream.Of course afterwards it was back to exercising. But it was well worth it More...
Unbelievable . Why isn't there a Prohibition Creamery in every city?!? I think I sampled ever boozy flavor, but decided on the whiskey chocolate with bourbon whip cream.
There is ice cream and then there is THIS! O-M-Geeee! We walked in and was greeted quickly. He asked if this was our first time, which it was so he poured us some water, gave us some menus and gave us a run down of how they make their ice cream. We asked questions, he made some suggestions, gave us a sample and then we decided on the sampler. Now the person I was with thought that we each should get a sampler, however being a diabetic I know that everything can be enjoyed in moderation so I didn't need a whole one to myself. She gave in a we waited patiently for what was to come. It arrived and I thought to myself, no way I could of ate all this by myself. The first item we tried was the sangria sorbet. No I'm not a wine drinker but I love sorbet. We poured prosecco over it to give it a little extra. My goodness. If I was on a beach, this is what I'd want. It was fabulous and got me excited for what was to come next! Next we had the deconstructed old fashion ad we poured baileys over it. What in the wow!! The cherry on it was delicious and I don't even like cherries!!! I was in heaven!!! The last was the black magic and we ordered an extra shot and pour bailey on top of this. So there are certain things my palette isn't so crazy for. Sadly this was one of them. The charcoal just was a bit too much for me however my friend loved it. And as if this wasn't enough we then decide to take a shot because well . . . Why not? Everything was great & we had a fabulous experience. Parking can be a problem however they do have a few spots behind back of the place. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed and you can even take the kiddos as they do offer non boozy treats. More...
Amazing little gem on the East side! Great bar staff, attentive and helpful. All ice creams are made in house, can sample before deciding. Definitely check this place out!
There is something simply whimsical about this place, the Sundaes can be a bit rich but the infusion of booze does make for a great treat! Definitely a great place to start or end a date! More...
I didn't realize this was a boozy ice cream place until we got here, yes they have normal flavors as well (though not many) but I the boozy ice cream and milk shake aspect was different and something I haven't experienced before so I opted for those options instead. We got a scoop of the tiramisu and a scoop of the pecan buttered rum.. and they were definitely boozy! You can taste the liquor, especially in the tiramisu, but the ice cream itself was delicious as well - I think it was a good combination of booze and ice cream for a hot day! I loved the pecan buttered rum flavor more than the tiramisu cause it was less boozy and the alcohol wasn't so overwhelming. Just depends on what you like but the milkshakes looked divine as well. I was sad they ran out of waffle cones but we got ours in a cup and they added waffle flakes to it for us. Cool bar type feel but small seating selection up front and on the patio as well. Very unique spot with definitely something unique to offer! I haven't come across too many boozy ice cream places so I'm glad I got to try this one! More...
Call the office!Cancel work for a week! You will be at Prohibition Creamery, home of all the adult pleasures. They have fine ice cream. They have fine booze. And if those two things together don't lead to fine sex, You are clearly hanging out with the wrong people!* * *The Prohibition Creamery makes Booze Ice Cream.Yes, they have a fine bar with interesting craft cocktails for those people who just want to drink.Yes, they have homemade non-alcoholic ice cream for those people who are on the wagon. But what you are here for is the booze ice cream,Fully alcoholic ice cream in a number of fascinating flavors. Two scoops equals one full shot.Don't think "One Full Shot - What's the big deal?"This is one full shot plus all the sugar from really good ice cream. The alcohol will hit your brain with triple speed and triple impact.Think of this as the Shot Heard Round the World.* * *I was here on an early afternoon on a work day.(Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry!)I had to settle for one booze and one non-booze ice cream sharing the same dish. This forced-on-me combo turned out to be inspired. The flavor choice was tiramisu (in full rum strength) plusan innocent chocolate sherbet. The booze ice cream was uncompromising, demanding and strong. The non-booze ice cream was milder flavored. I have had stronger flavors at Lick. But put those two items together and you have the PERFECT ice cream cocktail. The edge of the raw rum gives interest to the chocolate. The suaveness of the chocolate cuts the edge of the rum.I suspect that combining any one ice cream from the adult column and another ice cream from the normal column would have given you a similar suave mellow cocktail. As of this writing, they have six alcohol and six non-alcohol flavors. Six times six equals thirty six. That means there are thirty six perfect ice cream cocktails sitting at Prohibition Creamery waiting for you to try.* * *And those are not even the most interesting offerings they have on the menu. They also do adult milkshakes. I kill for adult milkshakes. These look like some of the best of the best. These mix the booze ice creams with exotic flavors from the bar and other exotic flavors from the ice cream parlor.Pure, primal, carnal desire. Another alternative:You could do a night of serious drinking, off their craft cocktail programme.and then conclude with an ultimate dessert. This makes Prohibition Creamery one of the most interesting bars on the East Side,Which is already the El Dorado for fine drinking in our city.I already have a list of milkshakes which are on my "I Need, I Want" list.Desire Gratification is coming up in the very immediate future. What an interesting and cool concept! We weren't sure what to expect when we came inside but the ice cream did not disappoint! I got regular ice cream (sans alcohol!) but my travel companion got some Baileys & ice cream and said it was delicious! A little pricey but the ice cream was delicious and the vibes were really unique! Will have to visit again! More...
I got a Deconstructed Old Fashioned Sundae. Super unique concept and the ice cream tastes FANTASTIC. They had so many things on their menu I wanted to try. Definitely going back
I got the boozy tiramisu ice cream and HOLY COW. It's was delicious. It tasted just like tiramisu and had a good balance of booze. The actual ice cream was a great texture, super creamy. The actual place is a weird vibe. It seemed a bit classy, with a bar and two men serving ice cream, and then lots of Nirvana playing. It was unusual, but in a good way. Definitely a great place for visitors to go. More...
How can you pass up on two great things; ice-cream: GREAT, alcohol: AMAZING. Now combine both and you get the Prohibition Creamery. Cool concept! When driving on the street be aware because you might miss it; no parking in front so park the next street over and then just walk. Like a lot of places in Austin, it looks like a regular house in the outside but completely reconverted inside. There are a few tables outside and some water bowls. The guys even offered to let my dog go in while I got my ice-cream. Inside similar looks to a mixture of speakeasy and bar. Plenty of nice seating areas and superb helpful service. The menu has a lot to mix from; read carefully and chose wisely!I ordered the tiramisu + vanilla + espresso fudge and Patron XO Cafe. Delicious!!!! What better way to end your lunch than with more booze and sweet!!!Honestly if I had this place nearby - I'd be close to 300lbs; so better in another city far away. LOLEdit: There is parking in the rear. More...
I literally poured champagne over sorbet. Life is good, Prohibition Creamery is great!
Saw a Facebook video about this ice-cream shop and knew I had to check it out. The concept was too interesting to pass up. They do have non-alcoholic flavors for the youngins but for the of age go for the boozy ones. They have a wide variety of options to choose from. Sundaes, Milkshakes, Cocktails. Whatever your adult heart desires. (4/5): BOOZY SLOTH SUNDAE: The Black Magic ice-cream appealed to me because of th
