Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
There are two major advantages.
1) A great accountant will make sure you have a better understand your business. They will provide valuable insight into what is driving profit and what is not. A great accountant is a valuable partner.
2) A great accountant will also help you avoid some of the pitfalls related to staying on top of all the requirements from the IRS, state agencies and investors.
What do you love most about your job?
I like to see the changes in business owners: from frustration to control; from talking about what is not happening to what we can do next; from making financial decisions based on what some guy at a party told them to making decisions based on data; from a mess to order; and from stressed to relaxed.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working in accounting for 20 years and interacting with the accounting departments of hundreds of companies, I started to recognize some patterns between successful departments and those that under performed. I also saw the advantage larger companies had over smaller companies based on good records and reports.
So, I set up a company to enable small companies to have the advantages of a large company at a fair price.
