I suspect some of the staff works while high, because occasionally I am completely ignored for long periods of time or they’ll space on an item. But the staff is cheerful and friendly, and they have a great baked good selection, including vegan and gluten-free goodies. The food is decent, not amazing. I travel for my job and everywhere I go I seek out the best coffee I can find. Quite often, I settle for Starbucks, because they are everywhere and convenient. I'm so glad I had the time today to find Professor Java's. The name appealed to me (I am a scientist), so I had to try. I am not disappointed in the least! This is a cool homestyle joint with great character, a friendly staff and fresh-cooked sandwiches, muffins, etc. So the coffee? Oh yes, they know coffee. When you walk in the door you pass a small roaster and buckets of aromatic bean remnants. Then you'll notice a little library, adorned with a variety of art around several little tables. Geez, I truly wish this joint was near my home! I would be here every day I could. Yummm! Maple Pecan Latte. Breakfast Quesadillas. You can just sit here all day and enjoy the smells coming from the coffee bar. Staff is friendly and patient as you drool over the menu. This place is a cute little spot for breakfast or lunch. Drinks are great (the large lattes are huge and come in wonderful mugs). Service is friendly. The only issue that I have is that, and it never fails when I'm there...fruit flies! It still doesn't stop me from going here but nevertheless, is a concern since this place serves food and has baked goods out in the open. More...

Very nice funky vibe and a warming staff. Food is very good for the area. Good smooth rock music. Portions aren't too big, but well enough food so you do not feel bloated. I will definitely come back!
