We left Luna, our 20week old vizsla pup, with Luke and Mairi for the weekend, on their home-boarding basis. It was her first ever time away from us.
Typical to the Vizsla breed, being separated from us has been a challenge from the start, and even though we’ve made lots of progress with crate training and short periods spent alone, we knew a whole weekend away would be a big ask. We met Luke and Mairi beforehand and it was quickly apparent they are both very knowledgeable and caring. Their family setup, with doggy day care and home boarding facilities, was just what we were looking for, both for human company and ongoing socialization with other people and dogs.
As expected, Luna was a bit unsettled during her stay but Mairi was very honest about that, which we very much appreciated. We’re 100% confident she was safe and cared for and Mairi clearly worked hard at encouraging her to eat, both from hand and from a puzzle toy, which Luna is enjoying right now, in our garden!
We look forward to Luna building a relationship with the Pro-vale family, and benefiting from their care. We’re already booked in for a return weekend stay, in a couple of weeks. Thanks!

Our dog Bessler has been coming to provale for doggy day care for around 3mths now. Our dog walking service offers dog owners peace of mind that their furry family member is getting the exercise they need and in good hands. Our experienced dog walkers can deliver the very best companionship on walks for dogs that require an afternoon stroll whilst you are out.
Behavioural studies have shown that behavioural problems in dogs come from boredom and loneliness. Our dog walking service will help break up the time your dog is left alone during the day, reducing the risk of behavioural problems through boredom. On our walks and time spent with your dog we can mentally and physically stimulate your dog, making their day more exciting!
On our walks we aim to have fun, allowing your dog as much freedom as possible whilst keeping in full control. We can take your dogs favourite toy out to play or just simply allow them a nice gentle stretch in the outdoors. All of our walks are safe and well planned ensuring the maximum enjoyment for your dog.
Our ethos…
Dogs will be walked in most weather, unless stated otherwise by their owner. Any dog that is wet or muddy after a walk, will be cleaned and dried down before being returned back to their home. Where possible we try to avoid road walking and look for a nice woodland, park or bridle path.
Before any booking we offer a free, no obligation consultation; to allow you to meet your designated dog walker in person. It’s important for us to understand your needs and also any routines that you may wish us to follow. We believe that after meeting us you will be more than happy that your dog is in the best possible care.
We provide our dog walking services to dog owners in the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire areas, and we also have a great dog walking service in Market Harborough.
We offer walks for those who need daily, occasional, short notice or emergency help. We will try to be as flexible as possible; however our ability to meet these requirements is subject to our availability and daily schedule. Doggy Day Care
Our day care is ideal for dogs that would otherwise be left on their own at home for the majority of the day. However it is also an opportunity for any dogs to socialise in a controlled environment with other dog breeds. We only socialise dogs as much as their owners would like and we never introduce dogs that won’t enjoy being among a large group of dogs.
We offer one to one and smaller group play sessions throughout the day and we are happy to accommodate ANY dogs that are dog friendly.

• Enclosed exercise paddock
• Woodland on our land for on-site walks
• Warm, clean and dry indoor area for relaxing and gentle play/interactions.
• Beds, toys and dog sofas provided to enhance relaxation.
• Separation available for dogs that prefer space to themselves.
• All breeds accepted.
• Entire males accepted.
• Dogs with aggression will be assessed before booking.
• Females in season will be accommodated through interaction with other females only, away from the main exercise areas and any males.
We try to replicate a home from home environment for our dogs. We do not allow the dogs to create havoc or run around excessively throughout the day. All dogs are given sufficient exercise for their age, breed and energy levels. Exercising, walking and playing is always monitored and watched over. We can also help to advise on training for your dog if it is of interest to you.
We are happy for dogs to be dropped off to our location before 9am. Our insurance covers us for key holding, which enables us to collect and drop off any dogs during convenient times as well as providing home visits.
As experienced dog owners and trainers, we are not afraid to take in males that are entire (not castrated), we are also happy to take females that are in season. If any issues arise we will inform you, and ensure that dogs unsettling others will be exercised alone or with other dogs of the same sex.
Before taking any dogs in we like to carry out a one to one meeting with you and your dog so that we can understand their character in their own home. This also gives you the chance to meet us and chat about what we can offer. Please contact us for more information or to request a consultation.
