Moved in for a half year. This is a great community with supportive staff and diverse, friendly residents. However like other people mentioned, if you do not drive, this place can be very isolated. Also visitors don’t have parking bays as of now. Some visitors occupied residents’ bays instead. Hope this gets improved. More...

We have a lovely, spacious flat and beautiful views out to the green belt, but this place has made me feel a little isolated. The closest shop is a Co-op, which is built for Millbrook park (another new development close to the station) but it’s a 20 minute walk. The tube station is a 23 minute walk. Mill Hill Broadway is half an hour walk. I don’t drive, so I can say that you’d be silly to move here if you plan to only rely on it public transport. There is one bus you can catch outside the development, the 240, which is supposed to come every 15 minutes but it’s frequently late and comes at unpredictable times. The Northern line from Mill Hill East also comes every 15 minutes - I’ve found it can easily take me an hour and a half to get to work in London Bridge. I don’t think the infrastructure in Mill Hill is ready for the thousands of people who are moving in. There should really be more buses stopping at Ridgeway Views, a community centre and at least one shop to make things easier and friendlier for those of us who don’t drive and have children. More...

The location is good, but I wonder how Barratt London got 5-star rating? Absolutely pathetic. The quality and after care is horrible. Any faults you bring up, they just want to put them under the carpet and brush off. I would blame the site manager and QA team for poor quality. Even the higher up, they just hide in their comfort and have shown no interest in addressing the customer issues. Mind you, these are sold at a premium price and the after care is really poor. I have seen in some of the flats the flooring already coming off and getting it replaced before even been occupied, carpet, internal fittings are of low grade and the craftsmanship is so poor. I'm shocked to learn that, the flat below us could hear banging noise if we walk bare foot, If you have children and they run around, then the flat below could hear really loud noise and to extent that they started complaining about it. When we have taken this to Barratt's attention they just come back and said it's normal and not willing to do anything. They have not used the proper acoustic layer when laying the wooden floor, hence the noise. This is one of many issues the residents are facing and customer care is terrible, nothing gets done or wants avoid, if it's going to cost them. Barratt puts profits at the forefront and customer care at the back of the seat. Hope Barratt would take it seriously and rectify the problems, not brushing off the underlying issues. Also, ask them what would they do about the unoccupied flats? Are they going to sell to some agency? who will pay service charge and reserve fund for the unsold units? Sam@Barratt, Yes someone spoken with me, but so far they haven't resolved or shown willingness to resolve the problems yet, still waiting. My advise to Buyers, the sales people will tell all the stories when you ask them why there were somany negative reviews, don't trust them, as they told me the same saying 'there will be some unhappy customers despite them doing a good job, which is not true. Poor quality, hopeless after sales customer service, but good at defending what they do and never accept or show any resolve in addressing the problems. After Just about 6 months time, All households are handed over to Customer service(another team), who will only respond in 3 days time, even if the radiator in one of the bedrooms is not working. So many problems and poor workmanship, a complete failure of quality check. All I see here is covering each others back leaving customers problems aside and drum beat about their profits at the expense of customer's missery. More...

I'm sure it'll be another great new development, maybe not so affordable for some of us, but I'd say a lovely addition to an up market area of London. Currently under construction, and no way near Completed, every sort of vehicle is heading that way either cement, building stuff and gear I can't even think of. Residents must somewhat perturbed with all the extra noise, pollution early morning wake up due to the trucks. Some proper provisions should be deployed to allow vehicles to queue in an organised fashion, and some intelligent marshaling would be helpful. More...
