I hired Brodin when I noticed during my last year in University, that my health was deteriorating. I was a struggling student, who didn't get enough sleep, who didn't eat properly and neglected exercise. Brodin LITERALLY put me back to shape. He helped me work on my cardio and get some strength back in me. In just a month of working with him, I felt better about myself and was significantly healthier.

I worked with Brodin twice a week, for 8 months between June 2015 and February 2016 out of the Pan Am pool. I had been doing physiotherapy trying to rehabilitate some shoulder tendonitis, but found that the treatments weren’t helping with pain and mobility. So I went to Kijiji and found the least shady looking personal trainer.
My goals were simple; build shoulder strength, and maybe gain a little muscle in the process. Having never really been to the gym before, I also didn’t want to hurt myself.
After a few sessions with Brodin, he started to learn what the range of motion my shoulders had, and built a workout routine that fit my abilities. He always proved very knowledgeable whenever I had questions, and would always do additional research if he didn’t feel he could give a good enough answer. Through his coaching, I went from being hesitant around lifting heavy weights, to being able to comfortable squat and lift hundreds of pounds.
I appreciated his use of mobile apps to track my workouts and progress. He was always on time for our sessions, and was pretty flexible if something came up. His coaching style is very friendly and supportive, which is one of the reasons I encouraged my parents to work with him.
Although his presence will be missed, I am confident that Brodin has given me the invaluable skills and tools to continue my fitness journey independently.

I hired Brodin in early 2016 and was immediately impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. Brodin immediately made me comfortable in what can be an intimidating situation - seeing a personal trainer for the first time. After several months, I was able to convince my husband to also start a training regime. My husband began seeing Brodin at the beginning of August, 2016. He had never before "worked out" regularly in his life. My husband's workouts were customized to his needs and were very different than mine; which is how we can be certain that Brodin takes a case-by-case approach to his work. Brodin's knowledge of nutrition and the physical processes of the body is impressive. Not only that, but Brodin has the ability to explain what he is trying to achieve in your workout or macro nutrient guidelines so that you can feel confident that it's not just a "diet" or an exercise for the sake of it. Brodin has been training me for about 8 weeks now. After the 6 week mark I saw some pretty impressive changes at the weigh in. I was hesitant to start working out regularly, due to my work. I am a self employed Carpenter and my schedule is hectic at the best of times. Brodin does a fantastic job of working his schedule around mine. He is flexible and organized and willing to do what ever he needs to do in order to work with me. He is very knowledgeable in the nutrition side of things as well.
