It is in an old house. Love the house and the decor inside. The server was very friendly. The menu had so many good choices, it was difficult to make a decision! I had the daily lunch special and the scallops were perfectly cooked so they melted in your mouth! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. We will go back to try other choices. More...

Can't say enough great things about Private Property. My husband and I could not have picked a better place for Date Night. Food was Delicious and the Service was Great. Very friendly and hospitable. The Gumbo was sooo Good and the Pork chop was the Best Seasoned chop I have ever had. We can't wait to go back and try more dishes. More...

My favorite place to eat, went for my birthday this year. The alligator bites are delicious and their steak is amazing. The setting is very nice, inside and out. 10/10 would recommend

Really enjoyed the food we got here. We ordered takeout because we had a grumpy baby in tow. We waited for about 20 minutes longer than they said when the order would be ready, but the restaurant itself was a beautiful place to wait. We ordered a couple of appetizers; the Cajun eggrolls and the magic juju shrimp were delish. I had the shrimp and grits and it was 5/5. My husband got the big easy burger and he said it was a bit one-note; he wished there was more to it. My mother-in-law got the blackened pork chop (which is what they said made our wait longer) and she really enjoyed it with her side of fried cream corn.Overall, we really liked it. We will definitely be coming back for the food and also to eat IN the restaurant because it's a beautiful place. My husband will just order something different. More...

Yelp to the rescue. We stopped in Lexington on our way to Myrtle Beach. No chains for us. We were traveling with two of our grandsons. I have to say the gator tail app caught my attention. My bride and grandkids have baby mouths. They were not up for the blackened and spicy foods. The chef was accommodating. The food was great. The pricing was fair and the service was excellent. The restaurant was was a converted old house. Neat. More...

Delicious meal. I got the alligator for an appetizer and crawfish étouffée for the main course. We split an amazing bread pudding for dessert. I was highly pleased as was my diner date who ordered the pork chop that melted in your mouth and some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever have. Try this place you won't be disappointed. More...

Very nice setting in downtown Lexington. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I was surprised to hear patrons speaking in many different languages all over, from Italian to French and German. This seems to be a hotspot for Europeans dining in Lexington SC! The food was very well prepared, but slightly over priced, hence my 4 stars. I do recommend dining at this establishment, but be prepared to bring about $150 per couple. Don't forget to tip at least 30% More...

Had free time before my son's college baseball game in Newberry, SC. I found Private Property that had alligator. Arrived to find out that it is only served at dinner. Taylor was nice enough to ask the chef to make an exception and cook me up some gator. Well, I have had gator all over Louisiana from New Orleans to Shreveport. This was the "BEST" damn gator I have ever had, bar none!!!!!Well worth the drive. The service by Kayla was very nice and the owner even put some sports on the tv in the bar. Great hospitality. Which I could have rated higher than 5 stars. Which this place was closer the St Louis, Missouri. Thanks for a "GREAT" experience. I will be back for Alabama vs South Carolina football game in the family. I guess I need to make a reservation. Thanks again. John More...

Food and service is quite good. The look of the building is what sells this place. It's amazing looking. But the "odd" happens when they bring out the bill. The bill has a total $49.11 and then below that has a section where it says Tip and its fill out with $0.09 and then below that a grand total of those number saying $49.20. They give the customer no place to tip the waitress?!? And we found out the charge of $0.09 is not a tip, it's the restaurants way of penalizing/charging the customer for using a Visa card instead of bringing $50.00 in their wallet. We tried to squeeze a $10 tip onto the bill where the $0.09 was written and changed the grand total to $59.20 in hopes they would give the waitress antip of 10 dollars. When we got home we noticed they where okay for charging us $0.09 but not willing to give their staff the $10.00 tip. :(. Sad to see a classy restaurant send out a bill where the customers can't tip the wait staff but more then willing to charge us for running a credit card. More...

Went here for something that was small yet flavorful and it certainly was. The She-Crab soup is excellent, with such a great flavor that really leaves an impression. All of the other items looked like if I had a bigger wallet and larger stomach I would have sampled everything. I had the Magic JuJu Shrimp and the Bayou Bounty, highly recommend both if you want flavors that pop in your mouth without overpowering any of the overall flavors. In terms of service, our waitress was very polite and prompt. She made sure to establish the meaning of blackened and what it meant for the style in which they cooked their food...(Cajun style). Overall it was an awesome experience from the time we walked in to when we got back in the car. More...

I've wanted to visit Private Property for a long time now and I've heard great things about it. We finally got the chance to visit for a friend's birthday dinner. We arrived pretty early but also made reservations for 6:15pm. We waited just a few minutes before we were seated. The place was pretty emptied even though the parking lot was pretty packed. I ordered the Private Property burger with the side of fries. The burger was pretty big and it came with a large serving size of fries. Overall I would probably order the burger again but I also wanted to try a couple of their pasta dishes that looked good. I do wish that they had a few specials the night we went but when we were seated we were advised that they don't have specials on Fridays. More...

This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences of my life. Our party of 4 was greeted, seated, and served in very short order on a busy Saturday night. Our server Kayla was efficient & cordial. She interacted with us like a member of our family. Our appetizers included Ju Ju shrimp, Blackened alligator and She Crab soup. Our entrees were Seafood Jambalaya , Bayou Bounty, Blackened Ribeye steak and Shrimp & Grits. Dessert we had was Bread Pudding. All were excellent in every way and we highly recommend all of them.
