I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this small bakery since I live so close to it. It's very bright and there are two sides of the bakery packed with pastries. One wall there's donuts and then a case full of cookies in front while the adjacent case has cupcakes and other fancy pastries. The pastries are very good! Typically I get bored of eating cut out cookies but there is something about Priory Fine cookies that keep me coming back. They are slightly flaky, with a melt in your mouth texture and buttery flavor. Cookies are also cheap starting at $.70! Most of the pastries are no more than $5. I've never been disappointed with anything that I have tried here. I also appreciate how the bakery tries to minimize food waste by selling day old donuts for $.50. The service is also amazing. Everyone that I've interacted with here have been so hospitable and helpful while answering my questions. This is a Northside gem and it makes me happy whenever I see someone else walking in. I had a wonderful experience with these guys, specifically Ali. Absolutely excellent bakery. I ordered my daughter's birthday cake here. I must have emailed Ali ten times back and forth to get all the details I wanted figured out. She was so nice and helpful and answered every email quickly- just took the stress and worry right out of it for me. And they nailed it. The cake was beautiful and even more importantly-DELICIOUS! Although I personally do not have much of a sweet tooth, I rely on Priory when I have to pick up baked goods and do not have time to bake myself. Most all of their desserts have been fantastic and I really enjoy the breakfast pastries I have sampled. Everything consistently tastes fresh and the prices are great. Great pastries! Cannot say enough good about the kolaches, peanut butter blossoms and buckeyes. The donuts are good too, but I think these novelty items are just so much more interesting :) Been here twice in the last month and planning on coming back for more!

Their cupcakes and donuts are pretty good. Service was never short of friendly and timely. I was in the area and sore the sign for pastries and I think my car parked itself.The Priory Fine Pastries has an excellent selection. Te staff are friendly and helpful and very nice.I had a cupcake and a cannoli.Both were excellent and extremely tasty.I would say pricing was a bit higher than some other bakeries.If I was in the area I would defiantly stop in againI would recommend to all my fellow yelpers to stop in and give them a shot. I grew up south of Pittsburgh and haven't been back in a long time. We went to Pittsburgh for a football game and seen the bakery on line so I wanted to stop in. The bakery case was full of all the flavors of home. The bakery really took me back. We called them Lady locks but the cream horns tasted like my aunt made them. The nut rolls were great. Mom made those. The pastry dough was very nice and flaky. Yes I ate a dinner plate of sweets with coffee while I was there. Supurb. Probably very finest bakery in Pittsburgh. Not as wide a daily selection in the cases as some, but a vast menu of options for order ahead items, and they were able to customize their carrot cake recipe for our wedding cake to leave out the nuts.

Excellent prices and friendly environment. Their pastries are really good and their pies are terrific. I started a new tradition in the family, when I bought my first Priory pies. Now, fro every Holiday and family occasion, they ask me to bring the Priory's blueberry and apple pie - no matter the season!
