So I decided that I would do a juice cleanse to help with the digestive issues that I was having and also to help me kick start a healthy way of eating. I contacted the shop via email to confirm the cleanse I was interested in and got a response straight away. Andy was very helpful and answered any questions I had. I went with the 3 day classic juice cleanse. The juices all arrived last Wednesday freshly squeezed and well labelled. I started the cleanse on the Thursday and was amazed at how fresh the juices tasted. I found the first day very hard but the subsequent days got easier. The results after the cleanse were amazing. My digestive system was working a lot better, my skin looked clearer and whilst I hadn’t done the cleanse to lose weight I manage to lose 6cm off my stomach and 2cm off my thighs! So overall was very happy with the result. It has also helped me rethink my eating habits and I have now invested in my own juicer (although I don’t think they’ll taste as good as yours ). I’ve tried many juice cleanses and often have them delivered frozen to defrost as I need them. But the idea that I could collect these daily or every few days appealed to me, so I tried the juice cleanse from Primrose which contained more fruit juices. I loved it! I usually leave my least favourite juices to last, but not with this cleanse as they were all delicious. Even the beetroot one (I despise beetroot!) had other lovely juices with it, and I now order this alone if I pop in as it became my favourite. Excellent advice and support, highly recommend. More...

If Promise Health was a B&B it would be booked up all the time. I love this shop and the treatments that are available. The atmosphere is relaxed but 110% professional. I love this place. Really great little find thanks to this app! The juice bar is located at the back of the shop and the staff were very friendly and helpful asking me what flavours I liked so that I could get the best for my money! All the items are freshly prepared in front of you- I watched them blend my smoothie, so you know it's fresh! I got the tropical smoothie and it was delish! They serve it to you in a milk bottle style so it's super retro and cute!! I'm definitely going back with my mum to try the avocado toast or maybe the porridge! Love it there!! More...

My sister brought me to this place as she knows i love healthy eating. I have been to so many so I was ready to compare it to all the other places i go to, and i did. However this place is in a league of its own the food is so fresh and the menu is so varied and exciting it you dont even realise you are being a vegan. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and the fact that is doesn't cost the earth or your pocket makes this corner cafe the hidden gem in Chelmsford. I do wish you had got in touch sooner and maybe spoken your thoughts at the time. Esther is a very experienced and fully qualified colon hydrotherapist. Esther has dedicated her entire working life to supporting clients with their health and always follows up with aftercare out of personal concern for every single client. Esther works hard to maintain her knowledge and is ARCH registered and ANM registered. She has qualifications in nutrition and other holistic therapies and is passionate about the work she does. We have many happy clients, are fully booked up to two weeks in advance and we also have a long line of returning clients who come to see Esther again and again. What you said about your first treatment should always have an elimination is totally false. Not many people have an elimination on their first treatment, due to the stools/colon needing rehydrating. It is widely recommended to have at least two to three treatments, Depending on your individual situation and health goals, you may need only one or two colonic sessions. The reason for that is the human body is exceptionally smart. When we clean out the colon, the body starts pulling waste out of the tissue and putting them into the blood stream. The goal is to clean the whole colon. It is rare that this is achieved in a single hydrotherapy session. On the first colonic treatment, sometimes a lot of waste material comes out and sometimes not much at all. It just depends on several factors including your ability to relax, the condition of your health and colon, your diet and water intake etcAlso, on that note, we do not and never have used a gravity machine, we have a closed machine.Esther has even taken a step further and opened up a juice bar, personally tailoring juice cleanses for her clients to compliment the treatment. Wow. Finally a health shop that caters for all my needs is in Chelmsford! Hooray! I’m one of these high maintenance types but Primrose always exceeds my expectations . I love the fresh organic smoothies and hot pots. Personal favourite is the avocado smoothie. Yum! The staff are always super helpful. I’m allergic to some fruits so they always substitute some ingredients to suit my needs I have seen people comment it is expensive but I’m not sure what they are comparing the prices too. Personally for home cooked fresh organic delicious food catered to my personal needs I think it’s extremely competitively priced. They even delivered to my home for a small charge as I couldn’t get to the shop due to working hours. What a fantastic service ! The shop is a little out of town so this means I can always park or I have the added bonus of burning some calories whilst I get my food. It’s not the largest choice of meals but I always find something scrummy and warming to eat. I also use the clinic and can say my health has improved dramatically with the knowledge given to me by the team. I had a fresh juice from here and it was lovely and refreshing. I also found out all the fruit and veg they use is organic! They do hot vegan food everyday which looks good I can't wait to try it next time. I had never heard of this magical place until a friend had posted a photo of an amazing meal he had had here...being a foodie I had to check it out ! Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I have to say the porridge is the best I have ever tasted...coupled with the longevity coffee made for an amazing start to my day. Oh wow! Recently enjoyed the tastiest drink going. Nowhere else feels like Primrose, wonderfully decorated with vibrant staff to match. The 'winter green boosting' juice is my favourite, I'd recommend taking the option to add cashews (as I did) for a more luscious indulgence. I love this place, the food, the people and the atmosphere. As I suffer with food intolerances Primrose is ideal for me. I can eat everything on the menu without having to ask what is in it. All the food is super tasty, there is a huge selection of juices and the sweet treats are better than anything I have tasted before. All the food is completely clean, nutritionally dense, raw and ORGANIC which is near impossible to find when eating out. I often get take aways for me and my son when I haven’t had time to make lunch or dinner so we have no excuses for not eating healthy. I have been twice in one day before!The shop is also great. I decided to do one of the primrose 3 day juice cleanse last week as I am getting married in July and wanted to kick start a healthier regime. I was a bit worried that I would not make it through the 3 days thinking I would be feeling weak and tired. Happily that did not happen. The 5 large juices I had each day were delicious and surprisingly filling ! If anything my energy levels were higher and even more shocking to me was that I did not once crave anything sugary not even chocolate which is my main downfall :) . The 3 days passed with no problems, not even a headache and the end result was I felt bright and breezy and very pleased with myself ! , oh and I lost a couple of pounds. I'm currently undergoing a hydrotherapy/coffee enema detox programme here and I have to say, after four sessions, I feel better than I have done in years!

Esther is a friendly, attentive and knowledgeable hydrotherapist who seems able to maximise the impact of each session by customising the procedure to fit your requirements. Consequently, you end up feeling that you've had full value from your visit.

Facilities are clean and presentable and the downstairs juice bar has a good selection of healthy drinks and snacks.
