Mike is awesome! He customized each workout specifically for you. He also keeps it fun and interesting. I have been working out with Mike regularly every week, for a year now and I am in the best shape of my life!

I worked out with Mike for a year after I had a baby until we moved out of the area. Mike is an awesome trainer. He is friendly, flexible and knows how to create a fun effective workout. He understands how to tailor a workout for your needs but still pushes you to challenge yourself. He is very caring and will help you achieve your goals. I was able to rebuild my core and upper body strength. I always felt good after my workouts with him and he makes 30 mins go by fast. I would highly recommend Mike, his prices are very reasonable and you don't have the complicated contracts that you get other places. More...

Michael is the best fitness instructor we have ever had.  My entire family goes to him twice a week and immediately saw results. My 14 year old daughter has improved her strength, balance, and performance in the sports she plays.  Michael has given her the upper advantage in her softball, basketball, and volleyball competitions. Ah, what to say about Mike P. He is not a "fad" athlete or trainer. He focuses on total health, holistic and natural, the whole of you and not just parts of you. He is 100% invested in your well-being and ultimately helping you achieve your fitness goals. He is caring, thoughtful, and has what I lovingly told to his face, a "Downtown Abbey" sense of humor. I am not sure if I went to train to exercise or to hang out with Mike but in the end, I accomplished both. Another thing to note about Mike, which in this day and age seems to be a lost art, is that he is all about the client. If it doesn't benefit his client it's not going to happen. I got terrific results from training with Mike because he challenged me and he kept things interesting...we never had the exact same workout twice. He is a gentle yet determined soul who is on your side and will help you reach your goals no matter what they are!!! I wholeheartedly recommend Mike P for your training. Start your year off right. I have tried other trainers, but it never worked out because they didn't listen. Mike is totally different. He asks questions to understand my goals and limitations. He focuses on the form of each exercise to make sure I get the most benefit from it and don't hurt myself doing it. If I can't do something because of an injury or limitation, he adjusts the exercise to fit my abilities.  And, while he challenges me each session with new and more difficult exercises, he never pushes me beyond my abilities.  He is personable, knowledgable, professional and affordable. And, he has a great sense of humor - which is always a plus. You can really sense his passion for working with people and helping them achieve better fitness.I started with Mike to prepare for a month of hiking trips and, after training with him for 2 months, plan to continue working with him when I get back. I feel stronger, my balance has improved and I am sleeping better. I can now enjoy my trip without worrying about my ability to do the hikes. You will be surprised what just one hour a week can do to your fitness. I have been training with Mike for almost 7 weeks, once a week for an hour. The results are outstanding. I used to hurt just doing simple chores at home. I am also in a profession that is infamous for developing a bad posture, rounded shoulders. Now I have built so much core strength to stand taller by almost an inch. I have lots of energy after work to go for a walk with friends and family.Mike is affordable, patient, and designs the exercise routine to your needs. More importantly, he focusses on form. Mike is one the best fitness instructors in San Jose. I trained pretty aggressively with him during bootcamp at our corporate gym. He is thorough professional and aims to continually improvise & modify workout techniques. I also trained 1:1 with Mike to focus on core and overall strength. I have been training with Mike for the past five weeks and I can already see the difference. Mike is committed and stay alert through out the session and motivates you to push to your limits. I have been trying to lose weight and get in good shape for several years. I achieved more than I did in the past few years, in terms of losing weight and increasing my core strength, in past few weeks.
