My names Ben Banbury and I am the owner of Primal Personal Training. I specialise in body transformation and strength training.
As a trainer my goal is to get my clients the results they're looking for, I do this by providing a few services:
-Free Initial Consultation; A 30 minute chat to go through goals and questions required prior to exercise.
-Personal Training Sessions; either 30 or 60 mins. Deals when 6 or 10 sessions blocked booked.
-30 min Pad-Work Sessions; Sessions aimed to teach my clients the basic boxing technique.
-Group Classes; All based around fat loss and cardiovascular training.
-Nutritional Counselling; Sessions aimed at teaching my clients how to eat to reach their goals. Two sessions included if 10 PT sessions purchased.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
After sitting down with my client and addressing their goals I always get them started on a basic program, built around their goals and body type. I start them slowly, mastering the basics. My goal here is to teach my clients to safely and productively train on their own. Plans will then be provided for between sessions with myself, to keep momentum.
As the weeks progress I gently start increasing the intensity of training and altering foods In my clients diet, my goal is to constantly tweak and update, slowly creating the habits required for change and get the results they're after.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
There's a terrible misconception with weight training, especially with women. Most believe it will make them bulky and muscly, but this isn't the case. The most effective way of creating and maintaining a healthy, toned body is through weights. Becoming stronger will result in muscles looking toned and feeling firmer. Muscle is also considered "expensive", it requires more calories to maintain than fat. So in other words you can eat more and remain the same weight and size!
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with clients who are trying to better themselves and are prepared to put the effort in. It doesn't matter their level of fitness, as long as they're trying their hardest! Watching clients work their asses off and get results is an incredible feeling, it drives me to become a better trainer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always wanted to be my own boss and I couldn't picture myself ever being employed again. I'm very ambitious, so for my career and my own personal growth I needed to be in control of every inch of my business. After 2 years of being employed I took the leap to become freelance and i've never looked back. Everyday I learn how to become a slightly better trainer and business owner due to this transition.

For 3 years I have been a gym instructor, learning the industry and building my client base. I still have a few shifts a month, which I enjoy as it gives me a chance to interact with clients, but I now operate as a full time Personal Trainer. When instructing I show clients around the gym, provide them with workouts and maintain / clean the gym.
