About

As a Visual Communication Designer/Graphic Designer. My goal is to stay current an well versed with what's happening in the marketplace as a designer what's out there, what's hot and what's not. Most of my experience has been in the music industry, it's where I've had some success.

Q&As

I’ll share some of my methods with you one way when I am having a difficult time with a request I’ve used a few different techniques to solve the dilemma; this is only one solution. Not always used because sometimes it comes to you immediately. I always try to keep up with the designs that are already in the marketplace to see how I can one-up what everyone else is doing. Sometimes I visit the Library to check out some old retro obsolete companies logos it depending upon the project. I had an offer to design a LaserDisc Cover for Ringo Starr. I couldn't come up with anything I attended a few Art Galleries; I wasn't on a tight deadline. On some occasion, I’d take a ride to the Los Angeles County Art Museum. To see the masters for a little zen time and inspiration sometimes to give some thought to my colors theme. I decided to take a trip to the Beverly Center Mall. To quiz some shoppers, with one question what comes to mind when you hear the name, Ringo Starr? The most frequent a Beatle, Drummer, the one that worked for me was sunglasses. I returned home to do one of my favorite ways to work. I designed an illustration of Ringo in sunglasses.

Verbal Communication is the way to go for me to make sure I have clarity of what the client's usage and representation of the design. I prefer to have half of the agreed cost to start a project to serve as our letter of agreement commitment with both our signature. Nothing stated here isn't set in stone everything here is negotiable. What’s the deadline or time frame to deliver their project? What's the client's vision of their design, my part in this process is to try to meet the client's expectation? My goal is to provide each client with my skill and knowledge of design to accommodate the client expectations with a discussion of the fee. I like to give my clients a choice in their design project. 1. I offer a client four B/W versions of the logo designs to choose one only. 2. Two colored versions of the client one chosen of the two colored logo designs. 3. After the client has made his or her design of the one color design. The final selection for the client I will provide one color version of a high-quality HD in the client's preferred format Zip Drive, PDF or JPEG version of the client's pick design for printing. Here's hoping that you’ll offer me the opportunity too add that design or project to my list. I am an affordable designer do not let my past cause any uneasiness to you let's talk. Thank You,

Graphic Designer, What do I love about designing everything the creative process sometimes it just there from a conversation with the prospective client. I enjoy those times when it’s like a light bulb comes on, and you can see it as clear as day. Then there other times when it takes me on a journey to do a little research for more than one versions clarity of the design. The library is another great place for me to go is a place that I enjoyed using when I was in school. I've found and made some great ads from the oversized book section.

I wanted to reconnect with the fun and excitement I experienced after seven years of working in another area of my creative talents. From the music industry career. I’ve always told myself that art and music were my first loves after Donna Summer. I returned to school to make a career change myself as a visual communication designer or I called it a midlife crisis. I knew I could use my God-given talents to create Prestwood Design Group. After fifteen years in the music industry, I had some friends and associates I could call upon to support my new business. My first and second ads were MJJ Productions a Michael Jackson Billboard ad honor Q aka Quincy Jones for ”Thriller.” Including the designing for MJ interior and exterior induction into the Guinness World Book of Records Museum as The King of Pop, and the Greatest selling album ”Thriller.” at that time.

I feel that my training, experience in the field of visual communication designer/graphic designer. I offer each client my skills my knowledge as a freelancer an including my encounters in the corporate world. We are all aware of our gifts, talents, and inadequacies. When we acknowledge our skills as our gifts were in our comfort zone. Designing for me is my comfort zone when you're excited when you receive a design request it’s challenging and exhilarating all at the same time. When you enjoy what you're doing it’s not working it's you having fun!
