DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they also trade under different name's, FG construction, pavilion paving, and more, everything is subcontracted out, and they don't always pay the subcontractor ( and they could come knocking on your door looking for payment) any positive reviews you come across (ignore) they must have created themselves, or the contractor did a descent job, leave a review for them, for the family run business, i have gather a long list of people and contractors that have been pushed to the edge by this building company (family run businesses )they have left unfinished projects, have marked and stained families with their lies and wreck less behaviour , preyed on peoples good nature. I can’t emphasise this enough to Stay away from civil construction. They have previously worked under different company names so that should tell you what you’re dealing with. Have recently made the mistake of giving them work but had to remove them after realising what they were up too. Mistakenly paid half cash which I was told wouldn’t be returned followed by a lot of abuse. Also had a very expensive plant that we wanted replanted in another part of garden taken. Do not use this company. Got them to do work on garden but had to remove them after 1 day as I realised what I was dealing with. Unfortunately had paid half of agreed price in cash and was told by John that I wouldn’t be receiving anything back. I’m now in the process of legal action. Have since got work finished by a legit company who told me all about civil construction and their history. Any good reviews about them will be fake. Bark should remove them from using this site before others are conned by them. More...

This builder started to work on my house extension project at my backyard this February 2022, and already took the deposit!
Since then, however, the project progress went very very slowly and terribly delayed week after week by them with little update!
I have to call, message and email them many many times again and again for the project update, but just received different kinds of excuses or even no response. The progress still remains slow and STILL at the foundation / floor level after already more than 4 months!!!

In any case John Kelly came out on a Sunday evening, and explained to me how he would approach the job. I had a leaking flat roof for year's, had a lot of Guy's look at it, but nobody would touch it as it was in such a bad state. John was recommended to me,I rang and he called on a Sunday, we sat down, had a chat, he came up with a plan and he took on the job. John has a fantastic team of hardworking, diligent guy's that go beyond the call of duty. There were a lot of extras, that were not in original plan at no extra cost. I knew about Civil construction on Summer 2020 since I needed to renovate my new apartment in less than 60 days. Despite the difficulties due to Covid-19, they managed to get the apartment ready in such short time, bringing in the small pieces and final details later on as soon as possible, which is awesome considering the delays due to the restrictions.
John specifically has been very kind, answering to all of my questions and bringing me with him choosing the new bathroom and kitchen straightly from the suppliers. He was also always ready to return my calls and emails.
I highly recommend them for the precision of how they get the job done, the kindness and the reliability
