I have been a very loyal customer For at least 12 years. I was most satisfied with their work until they moved premices and they became too big for their boots.
The work went slack. I had to complain several times lately as some of my stuff was coming back looking un-ironed😡. They offered eveytime to pick it up and redo it. No doubt the second time around , things came back perfect. So why not doing the first time around. Although they redid it. It is a lot of hassle to call, complain, have them picking it up, returning it. It also means that what you had plan to wear, or take on holiday is not going to happened.
The last time it happened, i was ill treated by the Manager: Mrs Verity Naylor, whom told me effectively to get lost in a polite way and find somewhere else. I don’t consider myself a difficult customer, however if i pay for a service, I don’t expect to redo the work myself. It would become a total waste of time and money.When I had to complain, i always sent the company photos of my discontentment, to prove that I was not complaining for nothing.
As a Manager, she fell dismally to address the fact that problems were arising. If you become a huge business and the quality goes downhill, one won’t last that long. As a matter of fact she did me a great favour, as i realised that charges x2 the price for identical service( free collection and pick up) in comparison of her local competitors which provide very good quality. I won’t need to be upset when my ironing come back!

We’ve been using Pressing Needs for a long time now and I can honestly say I would be lost without them. They collect on a Monday and return on a Thursday, with a friendly chat and super smile. Anything from the perfectly pressed shirts to evening wear, it’s always returned in pristine condition. The best bit is the quilt/ duvet cleaning service, always returned rolled in a bag good as new. Could not recommend you enough. We've always used you for any dry cleaning but today you really did come up trumps. I turned up on your doorstep at 9am (today) the morning of my daughters prom. She had accidentally managed to get quite a lot of mosquito spay all down the front of her dress. After i tried to sponge it out we were left with water marks. What do you love most about your job?
Every day is different. I work with an incredible workforce, some of whom have been with the company for 17 years and some whom have seen the business grown from a small ironing business from the comfort of the front room, to now a local successful business which employees nearly 40 staff of all which work within our busy processing site in Park Gate. Feel free to pop in if your ever passing - it is a hive of activity!
What inspired you to start your own business?
The business was started in 1989 by the current Directors who simply wanted to earn some extra pennies for their small children. 29 years later and Nickie and Malcolm are still as important in the everyday business as day 1. Nickie now directs her time and passion to our sister company Boxed Bridal, of whom she has seen blossom in the last 4 years, dealing with the careful and delicate cleaning of Wedding Dresses and also the preservation and care for them after for long term storage.
