Handyman

Absolutely shocking. Paul was inappropriate, unprofessional, unreliable, incredibly messy and his work was just awful. I'd say he broke more than he fixed and left me with more work than when he started. He ruined my brand new floor that had just been installed, ruined my painting equipment because he didn't wash brushes and rollers. He showed up when he felt like it, often not at all. But the worst thing, as a single woman, he made inappropriate conversation and then showed up to the job with beers for us to share. I do not want someone drinking while working on my house and I certainly don't want to be made to feel uncomfortably obligated to have a drink with a strange man in my own home! More...

i responded to megan quickly and was able to start the job which was left unfinished by another contractor the work had to be spread out over 4 visits and magan gave me keys so i cold gain access when she was at work she was to provide skirting which never appeared and i sourced myself i kept in contact with megan at all times and had i full day to complete the work but i had to delay for 4 days due to my uncle dying !!! i agreed to return to the job between my uncles death and the funeral having purchased the skirting she however texted and asked me not complete the job and pick up my tools i also did a few extra little jobs i noticed free of charge as for the beers at the end of one day i purchased some and actually asked if was ok to have one just before i left she said ok and being polite i offered her one she refused but was friendly and polite throughout my dealings i didnt dissappear off the face of the earth but an emergency occoured which obviously took precedence i note megan made no mention of this i have texts sent and received showing this i went out of my way to accomodate her and kept her informed i received £200 towards the job but had spent £90 on materials a case of taking advantage of a situation to not pay for work just for a few days unforseen delay i have a mind to take action as this is dispicable

Paul provided an absolutely fantastic service tending to both my garden, hedge and several indoor jobs, taking away all the items that needed to be dumped. He worked to a high standard and completed all jobs to a high specification and professional finish. He provided me with additional help where I was unsure of what to do and offered his additional help where requested.
I would absolutely recommend his work 100%. There’s no doubt that we shall be using his services again in the near future.

Paul showed himself to be very chaotic instead of professional. I lost all trust in him due to his inconsistencies. Just trying to fix a start date was difficult enough and when we did agree a date very seldom he would show up or even answer his phone. As a Trade Professional I agreed to use Paul's quote for the tiles from the trade company he uses, I purchased the tiles and to this date he has brought less than half the tiles purchased. I have asked him to bring them to me or at least allow me to collect them but he remains difficult. Paul completed only 5 hours of a 6 day job. Today I was expecting him and he has not rang, returned my calls or texts. Very disappointing indeed.

Just to say that I used the plumbing services of Paul Todd, following your search results, and highly recommend him
for high quality work and commitment to the job. He identified problems and gave enthusiastic solutions which were implemented
in the estimated time and for the quoted cost. I had been let down by several local plumbers, so Paul was a breath of fresh air
and I highly recommend him.

Paul was great clearing out the ceiling and insulation in our basement, he left the place looking great and in hardly no time for a very good price! he came twice as the first time his car broke and I was surprised to see him so chirpy despite the circumstances!

I'd happily recommend Paul for your next job around the house :)

*Rogue Trader* Paul call in sick and was then un-contactable for 5 days. When I finally managed to get through to him we arranged a new start date. Paul arrived on the day (Wednesday) at the time (9:30am) agreed with an apprentice and asked for £100 up front for supplies event though we had agreed on payment following completion. They both semi stripped my downstairs bathroom and finished for the day after 4.5 hours work. I gave Paul a key to return the following day (Thursday). After arriving home from work it was clear Paul hadn't been over to continue and I had to make contact with him to find out why. Paul advised his apprentice had a family emergency and was unable to come and do any work on his own but would be there first thing Friday to continue. Friday morning Paul text to advise he would arrive around 1pm once he had collected another apprentice, as he couldn’t continue the works alone. Once again Paul didn’t show up and also didn’t make contact with me to advise why. On Saturday Paul called to explain his no show the previous day was down to his apprentices car breaking down and he had forgotten his phone. Paul then asked if he could come over with Mario (business partner) to catch up and would be there by early afternoon. Once again Paul didn’t show. I spent the next 48 hours ringing, texting and emailing Paul, but each of my attempts to make contact was met with silence. By Monday evening I text and emailed Paul that the job was now terminated and he needed to return our house key and collect his tools. Paul responded Tuesday afternoon advising his mother had had a fall but he was ready to start work the following morning. I advised our position was still the same and we required our key. Paul eventually offered to return the house key and pick up his tools on the Thursday but failed to show up or make contact. I have sought advice from the police. In addition to lack of commitment and communication Paul has left me in a terrible situation. I have a mobility issue and so a downstairs toilet is imperative. Paul has left the downstairs toilet stripped following his one-day of work; I now have to spend most of my time upstairs where we having a functioning bathroom whilst we wait for the next contactor to fix the mess Paul has left. If I could I would give Paul a 0 start rating. More...

Paul cancelled on me an hour before he was to show up, he then rearranged. I then rearranged plans with
my family to accommodate this, Paul then text me at the new time he was due to arrive, and said he would be half an hour late. After forty five minutes he then text to say his car had a puncture and he would not be attending. He then offered to do the work for free at another date, however I said it was no longer needed.
Overall unreliable and would not recommend.

Paul is really good he arrived on time and was a god send given we had just moved into our house with lots of bits to do he was really useful and gave free advice and even offered to do extra things we hadn’t spotted and didn’t ask for. He was really nice guy too and someone you feel you can trust. The other review on here seems harsh and Paul explained to me the situation. I think you have to take with a pinch of salt. He’s back on Monday to paint one of our rooms. Very happy and will continue to use. More...
