I started working with Powers Digital Marketing about 3 years ago. I worked with her dog, which is my expertise, but Amber (President of PDM) noticed a lot of holes in my business and marketing strategy. She gave me some tips. All of them made sense to me. I proposed that we started working together. When I started out with her, I was working another job in retail - working 60 hours a week, plus doing work with dogs on my "off hours." With her help, I've gone from 200 friends (with no business page presence) to almost 7500 followers on Facebook in the 2 years we've been working together full time. About a year and a half ago, I was able to quit my retail job and make this my full time job. What do you love most about your job?
I love the content creation. Writing newsletters and blogs - and even social media posts make me happy. It allows those creative wheels to really turn. Plus, there's nothing like hearing a client really excited about work you've created!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to be able to travel and work at the same time. My marketing background made this a real possibility for me.
