Went to a wedding reception that they hosted. Good food and great service. The power went out, but they made it one of the best wedding receptions I have ever been to. First time to visit this place. Was there for a dinner and a speaker. Had two fish options for dinner. I had the fried catfish with green beans, mashed potatoes and a roll. The other option was grilled salmon with the same sides. Fried fish was a little over done, but very tasty. Other guests said the salmon was good. So I know nothing about other menu items. Went tonight to one if my favoritr soup and salad bars and was very disappointed that they are no longer open for dinner.. they now close the restsurant at 3pm. They had music. .but all gone now..sad .Drove from Mineola ..long ride and no food. Oh well. More...

I had a wonderful experience at The Potpourri House today with my Parents and a Family Friend. The strawberry salad was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Please if you do get a chance to go eat there ask for Mr. Rick. He made a recommendation to try the soup of the day and was there to ask how everything tasted. My favorite place to eat in Tyler for lunch, hands down. Whether dining alone, with a client, or with my entire staff, Potpourri House is my first and only choice. Their soup, salad, and baked potato bar have new selections each time I visit and their food is always fresh. Can’t live without their cornbread salad and their pimento cheese on fresh croutons made in house. And I haven’t even started on the shopping! Why not shop and have lunch at the same location !
