My husband and I stayed at the beginning of December in a pool cabana room. The hotel was clean and the staff were welcoming. The pool and beach were great for relaxing. I stayed here with my 2 dogs. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Everything was great! The location is great! Everything from bars to restaurants to stores within walking distance. The staff were the best. Natalie at the front desk was so helpful and put me in a room which had really easy access because of my dogs. The beach is beautiful. Beach bar was just ok as far as food. We stayed here December 7th- December 10th. When we pulled up it sure didn't look like much and we had our doubts but all of those worries were quickly quieted when we checked in. The lobby was cute, the girl at the desk was incredible, and our room was ready nearly 4 hours early! We stayed in room 257 so we didn't have a view but we only were in the room to sleep. The decor was adorable, room was clean, and the bed was comfy. I loved having a mini fridge. The shower left something to be desired- very low water pressure and the shower head was really low but it got the job done. |The grounds were beautiful. We loved the courtyard and sat out at the fire pit for 2 of our nights. There was a free pool table, ping pong, live music... the lights in the courtyard were charming. ||I loved everything about this stay and would jump at the chance to stay at this property again. This place is ok, neighborhood feels safe. Says pet friendly but there is literally no grass anywhere just AstroTurf, probably ok for most dogs but mine took about a day to get used to it. Since the moment I saw the hotel I fell in love with it. Postcard Inn reminded me so much of my now-husband because it has a great mix of the surfer relax vibe and the skater life, it is beautiful and well maintained but with a layback atmosphere and that was what I was looking for on a venue for our wedding. Mark Balog, our wedding coordinator, was on point. He helped me throughout the entire process; he showed us the professionalism need without being cold. Mark showed he cared about us and that we got everything we wanted for our special day. He guided us, gave us great suggestions, and even went out of his way to get me the Jerez (cherry wine) I wanted for our paella! We couldn't have been more blessed that day, perfect weather, perfect location, an ideal team of people, excellent food, perfect everything. There were 4 of us, 2 couples for one night during St Pete Beach Bike Fest. First impression was how much we loved the vibe/decor of the lobby. We loved this place...clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice customer service and good breakfast! We all agreed we would definitely stay here again. Spent 2 nights at postcard inn, very nice room, good beach bar, nice beach. However, we will never go there again! Why, you ask? Because all our lives we have taken a cooler to the beach so we could have our cold drinks (not alcohol) and some cold food to eat. Some STUPID PEOPLE in the government in St pete have decided that because a few people don't follow the no alcohol rule, then EVERYONE'S fun is hindered. I do believe that the tourism in St Pete will go down, if not already, once people learn that "NO COOLERS ON THE BEACH" rule. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb. It is too bad the hotels will loose business and the day beachers (like us from nearby) will not go to those NO COOLER beaches anymore. I will be spreading that stupid law to all my friends and relatives and there are a lot of us who go to the beach. Sorry St Pete hotels... you have just lost a lot. More...

We've stayed all over the Tampa beach area and prefer the smaller 'mom and pop' type hotels which are becoming extinct in Florida. While this hotel is not small it still has that feel. Easy walk to a variety of great restaurants and shopping. The pool is large and well-maintained and the beach is wide and clean. Perfect for walking and collecting shells relaxing on a float. The rooms were clean and comfy, a little small. The hotel's footprint was nicely set up, great garden area, pool, beach, etc. Lots of food and beverage choices, and many other options withing an easy walk. Shopping, ice cream, bars, restaurants, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did not like the fact that there is no real beach view from any room. I happened upon a weekend where they were holding wedding and other events in the garden area, right under my room. This took away some of my freedom. This happened several times over the weekend. The setup is very nice. A big garden/courtyard area so hand out in, a large pool with very comfy loungers, a snack shack and an area on the beach, also with loungers and bar service. The room was clean, neat and comfortable. The hotel hosts weddings and other events and at times they are on the garden area, just outside the rooms. This was my experience all weekend long. So i felt very infringed upon, i could not read in the garden, freely walk around the grounds. I got all my resort fees comped, but i dont think this is a good plan. Although i did like the setup of the place, i would not stay again, as i would rather have a balcony where i could see/hear the ocean. This hotel is adorable and has definitely made some improvements with staff. I stayed my first time after their room renovations. It was very cute. Since then they have added a whole lobby section and upped their service game. The rooms now need a little more attention. Peeling paint, doors warped at bottom. But with the traffic it would be hard to do an overhaul. I love this hotel for location, fun bar and beachy vibe. The customer service at Postcard Inn on the Beach is phenomenal. Although I have not yet actually stayed at this location, based on my experience with the staff and their customer service alone I am giving this hotel a 5 star rating and would happily stay here. LOVED the resort! The decor was so warm and inviting, and the rooms were comfortable and roomy. Very clean and modern facility with great options for any type of vacation (rest, pool, beach, live music, etc. ) Only downside - the front desk charged my card not once but twice for the length of my stay that I prepaid via Hotels.com.
