I met Alan on an organised photoshoot for models and photographer alike to come together 4 years ago. We have had three photoshoots in total over the years - one including my partner and I have always come away feeling totally relaxed and refreshed (Alan is very hospitable, engaging and makes you feel at ease). I have never been disappointed with any of the images he has produced. I have always been in awe of how incredible his work is and you can see the passion, care and pride he takes in his work. Alan was so professional. I was blown away when I entered the beautiful old barn studio with its massive lights and backdrop. Alan himself is so generous with his time and expertise. He took many shots in both color and black and white and helped me choose the best ones. I was totally satisfied with the photos he took and had a wide range to choose from by the end of the session. I had my first ever professional photo shoot with Alan to help promote my opera singing career. What an incredible person and an amazing photographer! I cannot recommend him enough.
It was an absolutely pleasure working with him. His experience and professionalism shines through all his pictures and the high levels of attention to detail highlights how much pride he has in his work. I love all the photos and I hope we will work together again in the near future.

My 15 year old son, who is inexperienced when it comes to modelling, had a photo shoot with Alan Lyall last week, with a view to building a portfolio. I came along as chaperone and I was very happy with how Alan put my son at ease and guided him through the session smoothly. I did a shoot with Alan to build my modelling portfolio and he was an absolute pleasure to work with! His direction was easy to follow and definitely put me at ease. We bounced ideas off each other, making it a very enjoyable shoot!

His professional approach, talented photography skills and incredible photo editing resulted in some wonderful pictures that will fit in nicely with my portfolio!

Had my first shoot today with Alan at his new home with his own studio - Dairy barn! I absolutely loved every minute, he was so welcoming and made me feel comfortable - he’s such a friendly guy to get along with.

The images we captured today are magic!! If you haven’t worked with Alan then I highly recommend! We have already arranged another date to shoot at his own studio again - dairy barn studio.

Was my first shoot today with Alan, we had the shoot at his home which is also his studio The Dairy Barn! It was amazing. Alan made me feel comfortable from the start and gave me some tips of how to pose right for the images . The images that we were able to made were lovely cant wait to see them all!
Alan had great communication before the shoot we were able to sort shoot details easily and he always replied.Alan is great guy to work with and I very highly recommend working with him

Just recently did my second Photoshoot with Alan and enjoyed every minute of it!

Alan's got a good eye for knowing what works and what doesn't work for you. So if you've never done a Photoshoot before I highly recommend working with Alan. He's great at making you look and feel confident in your modelling and Super helpful with directing when needed.

I met Alan for the first time this week. We had our very first shoot. I was a delight to work with Alan. He was very welcoming and friendly. He was very informative and attentive before the shoot as well at after. He was also very kind to my chaperone Tom and had no problem at all with him being there. Made him feel just as welcome with a cup of coffee while I had my make up done. Alan organised everything ready for my arrival including the MUA. Alan is an AMAZING photographer!!!! His portraits are just so beautiful beyond words!!! I have worked with Alan numerous of times now, and I have seen his development as a portrait photographer grow. We will continue to do more photoshoots in the later future, or knowing us two in a few weeks time haha!
