One of the best kept secrets in Edmonds. This cozy Italian restaurant provides great service, excellent cuisine and the option for indoor or outdoor dining. There is a great small bar, from which I had the best Manhattan I've ever been served. They make almost everything in house and you can taste that devotion. Fantastic restaurant in Edmonds. Casual atmosphere with an amazing staff. The service has always been nothing less than stellar. We like the open kitchen. They have a few TVs for the sports fan but no sound - which we love so we can just dine and converse. The Italian dishes are simply great and we like that Edmonds sports a great Italian food and pizza restaurant. Nice neighborhood restaurant with lots of delicious pasta choices as well as pizza's. The salads are simple but fresh. The chicken marsala served over spaghettini is our favorite. There are a few tables outside that are not used very often, the interior is casual and family friendly with booths and tables. I've ordered food to be delivered many times (and once recently for pickup). I've never eaten in the restaurant. My orders have always been correct. The fettuccine is outstanding!!! I order it each time. The lasange is pretty good - I've had better but this is good pasta! Love the pepperoni pizza too. But the salads lately, they could do a lot better!! They used to have one thing going for them and that was that they were fresh! Not much to them, very basic. Within the last couple months though I've ordered the Caesar and it wasn't fresh, wilted lettuce, skimpy on the Parmesan and dressing. The croutons taste like cheap bagged ones from the produce isle in grocery store. Recently ordered the green salad - it doesn't come with the meal - you have the option to buy it for $2.95 with an order of pasta, or full price off menu and it was not fresh AT ALL, and by not fresh - discolored and old, so much that I don't know how they didn't notice? I didn't eat it. If I had been at the restaurant I would have sent both salads back. However the pasta is so heavenly and priced just right and I will keep ordering it. More...

We've been coming to Portofino's for around a year. It has been consistently excellent both in food and service, take out or dine-in. We're glad that a restaurant as good as this one is close by. Food and service are both excellent. Caesar salad is delicious, pasta is very tasty and gluten free version is available. The garlic bread that comes with the entree is amazingly good .
