I've been training at Port Moody Shotokan Karate for over a year and I find it’s a great learning environment. The instructors have a lot of experience and I’ve developed strength, confidence, flexibility in a short amount of time not to mention made some great friends :) Another good thing is they have a women's only class which is a great place when starting, everyone is so supportive, it’s fun and Chinami sensei is amazing!

Takishta Sensei is one of the last remaining instructors that commits to quality instruction above all else. He is one of the best karate practitioners that I know and I am privileged to call him a friend. Also, one of my favourite memories was our battle for the Provincial Open division….. I lost 6-5, but it was one of my most enjoyable matches. (I can still see him trying to step on me, all in the spirit of scoring of course) OSS. More...
