We came to Pompanoosic Mills, because we liked the furniture design and thought that it was well-made and reasonably priced for custom furniture. Pompanoosic made us an exquisite bed, and their customer service was exquisite, too. Pompanoosic Mills makes its furniture with artistry and care. Our bed specified ornamental wood in the headboard and footboard. The furniture makers took care to find a beautiful piece for our bed. This took longer than expected, and our bed was delivered a couple of weeks after it was promised. We were relying on our new bed for guests and late delivery presented a problem for us. Most businesses would have apologized and that would have been that, but Mary (our salesperson) had the mill deliver a ”loaner” bed to help us out until our bed was ready. Fantastic furniture, hand made in Vermont. Unless you pick up something off the floor, orders are custom made. They'll tweak just about anything you like, so you end up with exactly what you want. My favorite furniture store. Top quality furniture with excellent service. You get what you pay for and the furniture is top quality and therefore more expensive than the discount or chain shops. However there is really no comparison with respect to craftsmanship. My personal favorite? No assembly required! The furniture is actually 100% constructed prior to delivery. What a novel concept. I have to say this is some of the most beautiful furniture I have ever seen- and now own! I have waited a long time for quality pieces for my dining room and Pompanoosuc Mills exceeds my expectations. The natural cherry pieces I purchased show true craftsmanship. Everyone I have had contact with at "Pompy" from beginning to end has been a delight- from the sales reps Jodee and Therese to the delivery guys to John at the mill!
