It's so refreshing to find a poké restaurant in Portland that has actual fresh fish and not rubbery cubes!! Living in Hawaii for 12 years, I caught my own Ahi and ate it on the boat. This freshness is definitely comparable. Good job you guys! More...
Currently my favorite poke stop in SE PDX so far! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and decent portions for the price. Their menu has a choice between fixed combinations or build your own poke options, which is awesome. They also have daily specials, so make sure to check that out before you order! Great selection of unique drinks (both non alcoholic and alcoholic) as well. Indoor and outdoor seating options and a very laid back feel. Aloha! More...
Always Fresh delicious friendly clean - yum p
High quality poke.
Love this place. Fish is always fresh and the create your own bowls are the perfect way to choose everything as how you want it. They also have brown rice as an alternative which is always a plus! More...
Average poke. Choices to build your own bowl seems to be more limited than other poke places I've been to.
Gotta catch em all you know? Poke Mon catches all those fishies and gets them delivered fresh everyday. So you better believe it's heellllaa good. If you're not into the raw fish, you can get a tofu bowl with mushrooms and various other toppings. And if you're not into the gluten, you can request gluten free options. AKA, gotta hit it More...
Was very hungry last night and craving poke. Googled the closest place to me and this came up. Miso soup was different and really great! Also ordered the garlic salmon bowl and happily shared it with my boyfriend. Wish I didn’t live in a different city otherwise I’d be a regular! More...
Love coming here for some yummy poke! Came here for dinner around 630. There wasn't a wait. Ordered the garlic salmon and a custom bowl. The garlic bowl was better this time around. Maybe because they added grapefruit chunks to my order? Anyways I loved it! Tasty and fresh. There's outdoor seating. Street parking. Bus your own tables. We'll be back again! More...
Braaaaaa this is the one. Best poke on the mainland!
Fast, courteous service
Worth the price
Fresh and tasty always. Great staff too.
Their signature tuna poke had great flavor but the portion was surprisingly smaller than expected especially for the premium price being charged ($13) that it had to be mentioned.
The food not only looked wonderful, it tasted wonderful as well
Best poke I've ever had this far north
This was a perfect way to fill my tummy. My friends and I got hungry from exploring the gems of Oregon, so we took a swag break to refuel. This was a prime place to do it. Deductions for super salty seaweed, but over all swagalicious. 7.4 swags out of 10.5 More...
delicious + unique flavors! I always have the hardest time deciding what I want, because I want every bowl.
This is my new favorite place in Portland for Poke. The build your own bowl was perfect, dropping in yummy sauces (ordered two) for variety & the Poke melts in your mouth. Added avocado for a healthy addition & that made it the perfect meal. Looking forward to trying something different because everything on the menu looks superb! Fresh, fresh, fresh too More...
Good food and good service.
Solid place for fresh poke as you like it.
Good was really good. Ambiance left a little to be desired -- nothing bad, just nothing remarkable. I'd happily go back.
I liked how they gave a lot of salmon out, i wish there were more sides tho but overall satisfied
Fantastic food at a great price, they always keep it fresh and delicious. I usually get the Ahi with greens but you really can’t go wrong here. 10/10
Friendly, fast, tasty.
The food is wonderful and the staff was helpful and friendly
They really pay attention to every part of the poke bowl here - even the sushi rice is a step above other poke bowl's I've had in Portland. The staff is also helpful and can do any bowl gluten free More...
Wonderful fresh food!! Great fast service, perfect place for a grab and go lunch, or you can hang out eat there and people watch threw all the windows.
This is the best poke restaurant in town. The fish is always fresh and delicious. I love making my own bowl and my husband enjoys trying the specials each month. It's the next best thing to getting poke in Hawaii. More...
Great poke bowls with a great selection of toppings. Our goto place for a quick bite. Have been there many times.
Great food, but no soy free options
Fantastic spot for fresh poke with lots of twists on bowl filler
AMAZING FOOD. Loved the pork katsu sandwich, great inexpensive menu.
I freaking love this place. Any time I am looking for lunch in SE, this is my go-to. And yes, sometimes I am not in SE and drive out of my way to get poke here. Always delicious, well-priced, friendly service, what more could you ask for? More...
I'm NOT a vegetarian or vegan but I am a mushroom slut! This dish is flavorful, hearty and perfectly seasoned. Thank you sir, may I have another!!!
Really fresh and delicious food. Quick service. Build your own option.
Favorite poke shop in Portland, monthly special bowls are always fantastic
Definitely will return!
The food is great and health and the staff was great.
I used to live in Portland and would walk here 2-3 times a week. This is THE BEST Sushi place ever if you need a quick fix! Go grab a bowl and take it to the park. Super fresh and so amazing! More...
Food was delicious!
The food here is awesome
Great Poke. Awesome selectio and really fresh fish. Staff was super nice!
I first fell in love with Poke in Honolulu, and have loved it ever since. Nice to see poke places pop up in Portland. I generally build my own bowl with going to Poke spots. I'm an Ahi/Traditional sauce type. I love there there are plenty of options and since I first started going here they have added more options and even do different special curated bowls. If you ever get a chance to get Ikura(salmon roe) on your bowl it's super yummy. The price point is pretty good. the same bowl I get here is more expensive at other places. I would love to get more of a fish portions but that just my love for Poke. I will say the difference with Hawaiian Poke is that the fish is normally marinated that day for serving, where as now the sauce is mixed at the time of order due to the customer order process. So if you feel that the flavor is not as "powerful" that would be the only difference. The fish is always fresh and tasty great. I'm not a salmon fan so I can not give an opinion on the Salmon (my friends love it!) More...
Fresh and tasty and right next to my apartment. Obviously this is a biased review, but its gewd stuff!
Fantastic Poke friendly staff!
Been enjoying poke since we started going to Hawaii a few years ago. The problem I've had in the mainland is it usually doesn't taste as good, or places will only offer Salmon poke rather than Ahi. Poke Mon has really good Ahi poke, we tried 2 different kinds. My wife had the Hawaiian Ahi, i had the Spicy Ahi Donburi which was awesome. Excellent mac salad too!Great first visit. We will be back! Really good! Better toppings that other poke places. Who ever makes the menu is Very thoughtful about the choices.

Not my favorite poké. The spicy sauce wasn't as spicy as I would have liked and tasted like a thin thousand island dressing. The bowl felt over priced for what the serving size was. Avocado was $1 extra and was diced and hard to find in all the sauce and rice. But everything did taste fresh, the space was nice and the staff was friendly. As a picky poke person it just wasn't my favorite. More...
The quality of the food here is fantastic! And the service is great too. Every time I've been in here the staff has been so nice and friendly. I love the ability to design your own bowl and they have a good variety of ingredients to choose from. Every time I've visited the poke has been very fresh and tasty. Last time I was there we got a musubi and my son's friend from Hawaii (native) loved it. (Points!) More...
Great staff, clean space, good poke. Current Friday special is garlic fried chicken.
They do serve decent poke, but I wouldn't say that ones I didn't customize myself are good
Excellent poke, best I’ve tried thus far in Portland. Unlike many comparable places they have generous portions for the price. Highly recommend.
Ana Victoria Gasquez
I had the Ahi Tuna bowl and it was really good
I have tried a few poke spots in Portland and Poke Mon is above and beyond! Also try the musubi.
I have gone for another round and boy am I glad,100% improvement. Can now again, recommend a good poke spot in Portland.
Still the best poke I’ve found in PDX after2 years
the fried chicken was really tastey but because our cooks did 5 orders all in the same sauce bowl at the same time I feel like the chicken was over sauced and a bit and made it really salty, the rice was mushy and not individual grains. The kimchee was delicious though, also enjoyed the Mac salad. More...
We went there looking for a yummy bowl and found what we wanted. The staff was pleasant and we could see the chef make our food. The menu has house bowls or you can make your own. I was really pleased with their selections of drinks, especially seltzer water. The wait was minimal, found a table easily, clean, had to bus your own table, view of Hawthorne while eating, good portions(not sure why anyone would complain), and good Hawaiian style pok food. We even tried a spam musubi. We will go again to try some of the other bowls. More...
One of the best poke places in Portland
Fresh fish, great sauce and the presentation is on point. Chairs could use a back though if you're eating in.
So good. The gf and I stopped in because of the name and great reviews. Such a quality place. Friendly staff, tasty poke, chill vibes. It's the perfect pit stop.
I had a really great experience here this week. My friend and I ordered the salmon bowl. The server was really helpful with how the process worked and what might go best with it. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the ingredients, presentation, and flavor. I will definitely return here! More...
Really good poke bowls, lots of options and fried chicken Fridays are the best. The daily specials are usually what I get but everything looks good.
Food was absolutely delicious. Small place, but courteous staff and fast service.
Very good food! Loved the poke! It did take a long time to get our food though.
Good, fresh food
Incredible! Best poke I've ever had!
Great place! Usually the only poke place I go to. Quick, easy, friendly staff. Parking can be tricky if you hit a busy time and I've circled the block before but most of the time it's totally worth it.
Awesome fresh food. I like to try the monthly specials (made in collaboration with a rotating local chef) because they are usually awesome and they always donate a portion of the proceeds to charity!!! The fish is just so fresh and tasty I'd have to recommend it to anyone More...
Love this place so fresh and delicious!!!
Friday Fried Chicken is so amazing!!!!!!
SO good! I don't like fish, raw or otherwise, so I was very pleasantly surprised with the Hawaiian Ahi.
The food was quick and fresh! Our bowls were about $12
Simple food but it's tasty, I like it.
Amazing food! Ultra fresh ingredients and very delicious combos - or make your own!
Great food and good atmosphere.
Excellent poke bowls, very good flavor
favorite place! honestly embarrassed about how frequently i am in here but it's too good. best ahi!
My absolute favorite place to eat in Portland. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their standard menu is fantastic and their chef series is ingenious and adds a level of excitement to the business that I've not seen elsewhere.
Stopped in here earlier this week with a friend and had their spicy ahi donburi. I upgraded to the cubed ahi and enjoyed how the size, texture and flavors worked together perfectly. The fish and other ingredients seemed fresh, service was friendly, and dining area was clean with a small number of tables and window bar seating. They even offered us a highchair for my baby who was in his stroller. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their poke! More...
Love it! Delicious! I am not sure why people are complaining about portions, they are ample and filling. For those complaining about price, I can not fathom wanting to eat cheap raw fish. Their fish is sustainability caught and therefore demands a premium. More...
Good bowls; quick service, and a good local vibe; we really enjoyed the people and the food. Definitely worth it when you're in Portland!
Good, fresh poke in not always Hawaiian traditional style. Excellent brown rice along with the tasty fish. Limited seats outside, mostly counter inside. Friendly counter help. Good spot for a quick easy, tasty and healthy lunch. More...
Excellent, Cool, Bright Spot, I recommend to all my friends and family.
The garlic salmon bowl is so good. I order it every time I come in, and I never get tired of it. YUMMMM.
Really good Poke, best place in Portland I have found so far. Do wish they had more options for veggies/add-ins though.
Best Poke in town, super friendly staff. I could eat here every day.
Everything's so good! But the miso is over the top...the best I've ever had. Cute place. Quick service. Can't recommend this place enough!
Hands down the best poke Ive ever had. The fish was very fresh and I highly recommend the garlic salmon bowl. Ill definitely be coming back here.
Loved this place so much we came twice during our visit to Portland.
Could eat here every day.
easy access to home and family friendly amenities include a spa and outdoor pool with plenty of storage space for entertaining guests who enjoy a comfortable living area with plenty for good weather
Absolutely delicious! No complaints at all!
Been three times and love it. Favorite so far is the spicy yuza albacore but the danburi ahi is also awesome. Don't be afraid of the specials, friend tried one and I had a bite, can't remember the name but damn it was good!
I've had a lot of poke in my day and I can easily say this poke was very fresh and yummy. clean environment and great service. Two thumbs up from me:)
Best poke since Hawai'i
It’s a good poke spot mon
Very good poke for a reasonable price!
Excellent poke here!
The ahi bowls (both) were pretty awesome. Only complaint is the portion size could be a bit bigger. Other than that the flavors were great and the presentation was nice.
Good name and food
Got the garlic salmon and it was amazing! Very flavorful and generous portions!
I had a a great experience at Poke Mon. The food was fresh and the prices were reasonable. For me, this is a neighborhood spot, so I’ll be back when I’m looking for a poke bowl fix.
Awesome poke. Chef's series of bowls is usually the standout item, so if it's available, get it. Love how consistently fresh and fast they are.
The poke here is so good! If only the had bigger bowls.....
This was my first poke experience and I have to say I was quite pleased. I went with the spicy tuna specialty bowl with cubed ahi tuna (instead of minced). For $12 it was a filling, if not huge, meal with a lot of great flavors. The people working were happy to answer questions and make recommendations. Everything was fresh, overall A+ experience. More...
Good quality pokemon with options for a ahi tuna, salmon, and tofu along with choice of 4 additional nonprotein toppings. Portions are smallish but the quality and taste is very good.
Good food and price.
The bowls are delicious, the staff earns the extra star though.
I wanted to give 3.5 stars. They flavor was amazing. They skimp on the portion size of the fish and they charge a ton. The restaurant is clean and they have decent seating.
This is the best poke in Portland! Everything is prepared fresh and tastes soooo good.
An excellent spot but the price rating says it is cheaper than places like red robin which is absolutely not the case
The Spicy donburi was delicious and there's a relaxed atmosphere. Our customer service was friendly and we received our food quickly. :-)
Good service, quick food prep, a little overpriced but just what you wanted so weigh out whether it's worth it
Inventive and tasty poke
The garlic salmon is good.
Yas!!! Yum this place is awesome ask for double avocado!!
Richard Rodrigues Da Costa
Love it. Bit expensive tho
Great food! The fish tasted super fresh and there's a nice drink selection. Prices might be a bit high on the amount that you get, but for the quality, it's worth it. Will be back for more!
This place is one of my favorites in PDX for poke. You really can't go wrong with any menu item, but my favorite is the original Hawaiian Ahi, with a close second being the spicy.
Love coming here cause love the tako poke.
This place is divine!
Awesome lunch spot for a healthy quick bite!
Far above average.
I always like going to poke mon because I've yet to have a bad experience. The food looks and tastes great. The water is always cold. The staff is always patient and kind. The tables are always clear and clean. The service you get here is outstanding. More...
Amazing poke! Great choice!
Food was fine but a bit pricey for what it is really. Also something weird about seeing a 19 year old white kid cutting the tuna for my bowl. Idk maybe that's just me
BEST FOOD YOU CAN GET
Great poke! Located on Hawthorne Street in inner eastside of Portland. We tried three of their Signature Bowls and not one of them disappointed. Favorite was the Hawaiian Ahi bowl. The seaweed salad was also amazing. The portion size is a little small but the bowls do pack a lot of amazing flavor. More...
Best thing I've ever put in my mouth.
My favorite place for poke here in Portland. Staff are always friendly and efficient, and the shop itself is bright and cheerful!
Great place the seaweed salad is bomb!
Love this place .... !!!
Delicious and interesting poke bowls.
Real tasty poke.
Amazing quality fish, good variety of poke bowls, and a well designed modern interior. I go here whenever I can.
Anna Celine Guilas
This place has really delicious pokè and high quality fish and food ingredients! A must try!
One of, if not the best, poke bowl I've ever had. The staff was really friendly. Nice vibe. Good prices. Great location.
Great for family with kids, enormous portions
Helpful, quick, yummy and good price
Poke, clean, and speedy service what more do you need
Great poke, but the limited customization options bring it down a star. Still worth a visit.
I really liked the food and the name was awesome!!!
Great poke! Only downside I'd say is that it's a little over priced
Delicious food. Fast and easy experience. Definitely recommended.
Not as good as eating poke in hawaii but a nice selection which is prepared well.
We found this neat location and love it.
Fresh, delicious poke. Chef of the month featured poke bowls. Friendly service. Cute interior. Great location.
At this place you can really "catch em all". Poke that is. By far they have used the best quality tuna I have ever had period. The tuna poke was awesome and so was the octopus poke. The prices are fantastic for what you get. The inside of the restaurant was also very nice. I would highly recommed this place. More...
Great poke, super cool place
I love the hell out of this place would eat there everyday!
Excellent fresh healthy food!
Clean place. The food is fresh and so yummy
Really great drink choices, and the Hawaiian original is bomb
Amazing quality food and location. Great for a day out in the city
It feels weird to post a review for a poke place having never tried their actual poke, but GUYS. On Friday's they make this amazing garlicy fried chicken. TRY IT.
I've never had anything like it and I'm hooked. I've already gone back twice after stumbling across it and it gets better every time! Great flavors. Very fresh.
Was working down off of Hawthorne and saw this place. Ate here twice in a weeks time. Loved it! I ordered the spicy Ahi with greens both times and the mac salad. If you love poke, you'll love this place More...
I love the food here for sure. Healthy, fresh, delish. Disappointed in the customer experience because I asked for half salad and half rice as a base in a bowl and they refused. Odd rules of this nature that seem designed to get more money out of customers truly flummox me (the alternative was pay extra for a side of either). You have the rice, you have the salad. The request is easy. Why not please your customers and give them what they want when it's easy and reasonable? More...
Delicious. All components very clean and fresh. Friendly staff. Various beers. A Casa DeMarco B&B recommended place!
Jaimi Marie Ybarra
Fresh and delicious!!! My favorite poke spot!
Aside from the amazing name, the poke here is great. Go for the classic Hawaiian and you won't be disappointed. What I really enjoyed was how easy to transport their to go orders are. The staff is super friendly and really went out of their way to make the experience fast and friendly. More...
Food: Stopped by Poke mon since I was already in town. I ordered the Spicy Ahi Donburi bowl and it's probably the closest you'll get to Hawaii's spicy ahi bowls. I just wished the ahi wasn't minced and was cut into cubes instead. Price: It's a little on the pricey side. I don't think the portion size is worth 10.75 but I guess the quality of the bowl makes up for it.Parking: There was only street parking available. However, I didn't find it difficult to find parking. More...
Just in town visiting and decided to try this place because we love our poke, and the name tugged at our nostalgic hearts. Customer service was phenomenal and food came out fast, fresh, and delicious. My wife went with a custom bowl, and I tried their Hello Spring special. The wasabi-soy vinaigrette and pickled ramp mayo were SO delicious. More...
I purchased the Hawaiian ahi bowl and my husband got the garlic salmon bowl. The taste on mine was authentic ahi poke from the islands and the fish was fresh and really good. My husband didn't care much for his -mainly due to a sinewy piece of salmon he got; however I thought the flavor was quite fresh and bright with the avocado and cucumber. I would definitely go again. More...
We were referred to this place by our best friend and we loved it! It was so very amazing. Fresh ingredients that you can taste and each dish is made to order. We had miso soup, kimchi, and two signature bowls. Every single thing was delicious and we can't wait to return! More...
AMAZING POKE!!! They have a gluten free poke bowl which is perfect and helpful for many. The tuna isn't too veiny and tastes quality. The miso soup is also a tasty side. The restaurant is a cute place with a very clean feel to it which is very important for a place that serves raw fish. Very quality food here! More...
Thank you Poke Mon for satisfying my craving for poke while I was away from home (Hawaii).I built my bowl with salmon, original sauce, white rice, cucumber, nori, bubu arare and boy did it hit the spot. I was afraid that the fish wouldn't taste fresh or be a lot different than home but I was wrong. It tasted like something that I would get back at home. The seasoning was just right on the salmon. Also, the rice here was great! I'm pretty particular with rice and this place does a good job with preparing their rice. The place and vibe was nice. It wasn't really like home but I thought it was very comforting. Parking is only on the street and it is a little difficult to find. If I ever get a chance to visit Oregon again, I'll definitely be back. More...
Amazing ingredients. Friendly and engaging staff! We had an awesome experience at this local neighborhood spot.
I find myself coming here every month for the chefs bowl. Solid rotation in my diet. Their quality has remained solid/even improved whereas other local poke places have gone down.
I really enjoyed Poke Mon and will be coming back to try some of the other bowls on their menu. Their fish was tasty, had good texture and the special bowl I ordered was a unique take on poke featuring a Buddha's hand vinaigrette, radish, citrus slices and avocado. It was delicate, light and very tasty. The interior of the restaurant is typical Portland with prominent wooden features and exposed lights. There are a few tables and bar seating around the windows. Also, during good weather I think you can sit outside. The menu is short with just a handful of pre-constructed bowls, but they do offer a build-your-own as well if you prefer certain toppings. The price is reasonable around $10-$14 for the poke bowl and then a few more dollars for a drink. They serve alcohol as well. Beer and sake we're both available. The bowls aren't made right in front of you, so you will have to take a seat and wait a few minutes while the chefs prepare your meal.Overall, service was friendly and the food was tasty and the price was right. Tried this spot out for the first time. I currently follow fairly strict Paleo eating so dining out can be tricky. Im sure there was some soy and sugar in the sauce but besides that this is a nice option (next time I'll ask for that on the side). The fish was fresh and the greens were plentiful. I got kimchi on the side, but the add-on size and it was perfect. Not much seating but good for one or two or take out. I'll be back for sure and appreciate anytime I can get options that are mostly aligned with my health choices. More...
Very good! My favorite is the Hawaiian Ahi poke, and garlic salmon poke. I do add radishes, and avocado. They give you a good amount of fish so you don't need to add extra. You could also try to replicate and make it yourself at home if you wanted to save money you would just have to purchase their sauce, because that's what puts it all together. Other than that, I think it's a yummy place if you love raw fish and want to healthy but get full too. More...
I've been going here since they first opened and their spicy ahi donburi is always my go to. I honestly haven't tried anything else. Growing up in Hawai'i I ate poke all the time and Poke Mon definitely fills that void. I did notice on my most recent drop in that the price did increase.... More...
Amazing! I used to live in Hawaii and have really missed the true hawaii poke flavor. First time going yesterday and definitely will be back. Only complaint is portions are a little small for price. Staff was awesome and place was clean. More...
I've only been there once and it was so that I could get the special poke bowl, which was a Thai labb version. It was the tastiest poke bowl I've ever had. Salmon roe, fried garlic, and tangy powder. So good! It was also quite filling, which was surprising since I can eat a lot. A little on the pricier side but I'll definitely come back for more. More...
Love this little place! Fish is very fresh, unique flavor combos and can get a quick meal on a friday night without a wait.
I'm here almost every week, usually about twice a week. That's honestly how much I love this place! I personally haven't had one of their signature bowls but according to a friend of mine, their Hawaiian Ahi Poké is pretty dang good. I for one always build my own with salmon and their creamy spicy sauce, along with some toppings and white rice and it has never failed me. The salmon is pretty fresh, and it works well with all of the ingredients I choose. Pokémon is definitely my go to poké spot in town.Update: although I still love this place, I really wish I was able to create my own bowl on their Caviar page, considering other Poké places around town have that option on their Caviar pages! More...
Poke Mon was recommended by a friend who grew up in Oahu. She told me that Poke Mon had Poke that was better than any Poke she's had in the Islands. We had the Ahi Laab Poke Bowl and the Garlic Salmon Poke. The Garlic Salmon Poke was good, well prepared, fresh. The Ahi Laab Poke Bowl (a special with cooked Shitake Mushroom) was disappointing. The Shitake Mushroom did not add any discernible flavor including Umami to the bowl. The "dressing" was too salty and too sour.Service was fast, the restaurant was clean and bright.I'4 stars for the Garlic Salmon Poke More...
Poke three ways. Hawaiian Ahi, Garlic Salmon, and Spicy Ahi Don! All very tasty, but I liked the combination of grapefruit and salmon in my daughter's selection of Garlic Salmon. Although my daughter thought it was too much, the crispy garlic bits have it a nice crunch. Overall, I would have preferred to have it on a warmer bed of rice (sushi rice to make it better!) and a little less sauce. (A little on the salty side) More...
Pay no attention to any of the negative reviews. This place is amazing! Super fresh delicious bowls with generous portions of fish, veggies, and rice. My favorite has to be the Garlic Salmon Bowl with brown rice. I order at least one of these bowls every week or two. It is delicious and very fairly priced, in my opinion. If you are looking for delicious fresh poke, this is the place. More...
Yum yum yum! I got the Hawaiian ahi poke and my friend got the yuzu albacore with peppers (I think it was albacore?) Both were sooo tasty! I actually liked the yuzu better than the Hawaiian, or at least was alternating bites. The dressing on the Hawaiian was a little heavy so cutting it with the yuzu was perfect. It's often that at counter-service places it almost feels like they think they don't have to bother being friendly and that was not the case here. Everyone seemed genuinely happy and overall it was a pleasant experience. I shall be back! More...

Food was delicious & very fresh. Not 5 stars because it's pricey, 3 bowls almost $40!!! Cute place & very nice people working there⭐️
I lived in Hawaii for a year. I loved this place. The spicy ahi was delicious. It felt like I was back in Hawaii. Will defiantly be back.
Fresh, hip, very modern Portland. Absolutely delish, friendly and efficient service. I recommend the whole menu.
I have been here several times and of the signature bowls the tako kimchi is my favorite. They cut the octopus thinner so that it is easy to eat with the other ingredients in the bowl. Garlic salmon is a close second, love the tartness of the grapefruit. The Hawaiian ahi bowl is my least favorite due to the enormous amount of onions in it and smaller amount of fish.I would have expected more food for the price. It is a sufficient quantity for a small lunch but I wouldn't recommend it as a dinner option. Way too expensive for a regular lunch choice but it's a nice treat every once in a while. More...
Holy crap- was unexpectedly blown away by this place! Got the "build your own bowl" and did the octopus of brown rice with the creamy spicy sauce and some other veggies. Will be returning!
I'm originally from Hawaii and the bowls here are amazing just like back home. The portions are a little small you know how Hawaiians like it we like it BIG! Other than that it's AMAZING I strongly suggest coming here. I am now a regular that's for sure. More...
Delicious food but the bowls are a little small for the price. Quality over quantity is cool but I don't typically like spending 15 bucks just trying to get full! Even if it just had a little more rice I would probably be happier. More...
A truly great place for all types of Poke that is amazing and a miso soup that is fantastic!!!
Yum! The poke here is so tasty I've come back twice in one week. I've stopped by for dinner, and it wasn't very crowded. I had to wait 5 minutes tops to place my order. The food came out quickly too-- it took about 10 minutes. Both times I opted for the 'Garlic Salmon' bowl, with salmon, fried garlic, and grapefruit over salad. The salmon is fresh, and the sweet / salty / savory flavor combination packs a big punch! The only downsides: the portion is a little small, the dish had too much sauce, and the sauce was a little salty. I ended up ordering a 2$ side of rice to satisfy my post gym hunger.I'll definitely be coming back. More...
Poke Mon.What a cute little place. Order at the counter and seat yourselves. Water and sauces are located in the back of the room, next to the bathroom. We sat down and food was brought to us fairly quickly. Oh, we ordered the Hawaiian Ahi $11.75. It came in cute little bowl. For the price, the portion was a bit small, but tasty. We opted for white rice as our base- it was no bad. As you know, I am a little bit of a rice snob:) I really enjoyed the combination of Ahi, sweet onion, inamona oga and the original sauce. The combination was perfect. We did not need to add additional sauces because it was enough to flavoring.Next time, we would like to build my own bowl. I think it'll be exciting!Go try it and let me know! Don't forget to bust your table though! More...
Got spicy yuzu Albacore, which was pretty good. Yuzu flavor sauce is always good with raw fish! And quantity was just right for me Can be a bit less bit not more. They process tuna in front of us which really impress us that they use fresh fish. That is very good also. I keep going back to taste the rest in menu. More...
I'm a regular at Poke Mon for lunch and they're consistent with the freshness of their food, the flavors and the service. I'm pretty new to poke, but am impressed by the different combos they offer at this spot. So impressed I can't pick a favorite - I love the Garlic Salmon and the Spicy Albacore equally - you can get them both with white or brown rice or on greens. I do find myself still being hungry after a bowl (with greens) so I sometimes get a seaweed or mac salad on the side and they are so so good! So thankful they are in walking distance from my office!!! Thank you, Poke Mon!!! More...
Stopped by for dinner after a long day of sightseeing. We showed up a little early for the dinner rush so service was quick and easy! I got the Octopus Bowl and my boyfriend got the salmon bowl. We thoroughly enjoyed both bowls and loved how everything was hearty! I loved the kimchi that came with the octopus bowl - gave a great bite to go with the rice. They also have several condiments & spices to add if needed, which is great even though both dishes we had were seasoned quite well. Poke Mon also has a nice selection of drinks & beers. While we went with a plain chilled green tea, there were many interesting looking drinks there! More...
While it is a little pricey, the flavor totally makes up for it! I built my own bowl with white rice and salmon and it tasted delicious. I definitely want to come back here and maybe try one of the signature bowls. More...
I got the salmon grapefruit poke. Wonderfully crafted. Can't rave enough.
Can't give 5 stars because both of our bowls were SUPER salty, but I love the flavors. We got the Hawaiian Ahi (tuna) and the Kimchee Tako (octopus). Both bowls were seasoned the way I expected it to be. I love Hawaiian style poke, and it's been hard to find this type of seasoning for a poke bowl. Other places have ahi poke, but it's either missing limu, or chili powder, or onions, or sesame oil. This had the right combinations of flavors but needed to cut back on the shoyu or the sea salt. Tuna was a good size, and good amount for serving size. The Kimchee Tako was not too spicy and had great kimchee flavor. Tako was cooked well, and tender. I liked how they cut it up in smaller pieces so it was easier to chew and take a bite with the rice. Overall, I liked the poke flavors here more than SeaSweets Poke because the flavors remind me of the poke you can get in Hawaii. My husband prefers the other place because they have more variety of poke and more side options. I think Poke Mon's Hawaiian Ahi won me over since they keep it real. More...
SO DELICIOUS!!!! I ordered the Spicy Ahi Donburi and it's awesome, creamy spicy fresh Ahi with rice, cucumber and nori strips.
Though a bit pricey and somewhat minimal with ingredients other than rice, Poke Mon's bowls are refreshing and delicious. Favorites: Hawaiian ahi (fresh ahi, sweet onion, inamona, ogo, and original sauce) and spicy ahi donburri (minced fresh ahi, sweet onion, cucumber, bubu arare, sweet shoyu, nori, creamy and spicy sauce).Their monthly specials are a couple of dollars more expensive and in my experience hit and miss. Still, even when the line is long Poke Mon is a great place for a light lunch. More...
You know how as a human you have these weird food buttons. Poke Mon always just seems to hit all of them. It's not just how fresh everything is it's the texture, hits of citrus, garlic, sesame oil, spicy jalapeño, and whatever else they put in there. It just makes me happy! Every time! More...
Poke Mon was, well, ok. We each ordered the Hawaiian Ahi Poke, which came to more than $25 for less than full bowls, much of it being rice. Taste was spot on, but the portion/price just seemed a little steep for a place with no real service (you order at the counter, you bus your own plates). I really wanted to like this place, and had higher hopes. Hopefully they can either up the portion size, or drop their prices. More...
Affordable, fresh food in cheerful environment with friendly staff. We're making this a go-to spot for simple, healthy (&healthy on the budget) food. I recommend making your own bowl with the originals sauce. Delicious. More...
Can't ever go wrong with some Poke especially here. Tuna & their sauces are INCREDIBLE and the place is so clean I love it!
Ingredients are top notch. And the signature bowls are perfectly dialed in,subtle, and exquisite -- especially the Hawaiian Ahi and Garlic Salmon. I have been several times and never disappointed.Poke Mon is bit pricier than Sea Sweets up the street, but the prices are worth it. Portions are somewhat small, but I am a relatively light eater and never feel hungry afterward. A six-foot 200 lb man might feel differently.Seating is limited, but take out is always an option. Delicious and fresh! This meal is a little pricey for a casual lunch spot but well worth it. I've gone back several times, the portions aren't too large, and I find myself craving their dishes!
We went around 7 PM and it was very good and refreshing. Also very good service. They have iced water out so you can actually refuel and refresh in this hot weather :)
The food was spot on!! And service was nice and food came quick. Only gave it 4 stars due to portions being so small for the price. Maybe had 8-10 very small bites of tune and it was a $13-14. I make a lot of poke at home so I understand it is expensive but for the price they could have done a little bigger portion. Also I would advise the Mac salad is not great, had some sorta of tomato flavor. Don't be afraid to try this place!! More...
Poke Mon is the best build-a-poke-bowl place in Portland. With the influx of the trend popping up all over town, I've tried almost every one of them. Poke Mon beats them all! They have the freshest fish for sure - you can often see them cutting it right behind the counter. Their toppings are more unique than others as well - my favorite addition is shiitake mushrooms. They also do collaborations with chefs around town to create unique bowls every so often. The only drawback of this place is parking, but you can't really knock them for that and everywhere on Hawthorne is terrible for parking. It's worth driving around to find a spot. I promise! More...
Wow'sers first time have poke (yeah I live under a rock LoL) this place was spectacularly good! The fish was crazy fresh, the staff was super duper helpful even with my dumb and silly questions. If I could give them more stars I would . Love this place! More...
My boyfriend and I were craving something fresh so we stopped in to Poke Mon. I had the spicy yuzu albacore on mixed greens and he had spicy ahi tuna over rice. Both were very delicious and we also ordered some sake to accompany our meal (pretty good sake selection). More...
Love the Poke here. Incredible Sake flights too. The staff is both knowledgeable and passionate about the food and the same. Always a pleasant experience
Good quality poke
Delicious, Fresh & Unique to the Portland area! Every bowl is made to order rather than left in a cold case for who know how long! You can even watch them break down these huge cuts of Ahi Tuna down into little bite sized cubes! More...
Delicious fish. I recommend the spicy ahi bowl!
Great pokē, just a tad spendy for the portion. Mac salad is pretty good too. Clean and modern joint.
best Poke in town. their original poke dressings are unbvelievably good, try the yuzu dressing on tuna! oh, and they have LaCroix
Great healthy fast food. Would be five stars, but if I'm going to be prompted for a tip, I shouldn't be asked to bus my own table...
Fast, healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced!
The sushi bowl of my dreams!
Basically sushi bowls and sake. La croix soda in cans and a special of the day make it a good lunch spot or basic date night. Delicious food.
Solid, delicious food at a mild premium.
I've had the hawaiian ahi poke and the spicy yuzu albacore poke, both really tasty. If I could eat poke bowls all the time I would.
Fresh seafood. Delicious poke bowls! Will definitely be back!
Delicious, especially for 10 bucks
Good gluten-free options. Can't get enough poke.
Good price to product ratio, excellent quality. Clean and simple design, wish there was more seating but always a good place for a bite
02/17/17: 4.5 out of 5 - Definitely an improvement in service, and the bowls are prepared well. The fish are cut quite nicely. Worth the visit!01/15/17: 4.0 out of 5 - Came here after my recovery from Pneumonia. Surprisingly, Poke Mon was a bit busy considering the Winter Storm PDX is recovering from. I suppose if it's good food, Portlanders will find a way.I had the Garlic Salmon and my wife had the Hawaiian Ahi. Both were tasty, presented well, and well-balanced between the amount of ingredients. The place is quite clean. Clean tables, clean counters, clean bathroom, just clean everything. The staff were quite busy, but they seemed nice when one of them brought out our food. They greet people as they're coming in and thanked them as they are leaving.Overall, it was a good eating experience. I would definitely come back with others. I highly suggest coming in once and decide for yourself. Enjoy! More...
Poke Mon serves rice bowls topped with very very fresh raw seafood and tasty sauces. I found the prices to be a wee bit high relative to the ingredient cost/quantity, but would nonetheless strongly recommend a visit: the ambiance is relaxed with a modern flavor, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and considerate.
Rainbow Gaming Rainbow
Food is delicious! The location is pretty crowded - hopefully they'll be able to expand soon enough.
For fresh fish and decent servings this place was a cheerful delight. It was difficult to choose from the amazing sauces. The employees seemed to be enjoying them selves and were kind,... I think they even had tampons for the ladies in the washroom....genius!The only downer was that they didn't have hot sake...but the sake we drank was none the less, tasty. More...
Poke Mon (besides having the BEST name) is a fantastic spot for a fresh Poke Bowl. Their fish is locally sourced and their staff is helpful in answering any question about their menu.
First tako poke I've had outside of Hawaii. F••king delicious.
Top notch ahi and ingredients! Quick and awesome service. Go here once a week!
Good food, helpful staff, quick service
De lo mejor
The poke here was phenomenal! The Ahi bowl with white rice had a lovely portion of tuna that was flavored to perfection. A delightful blend of soy and sesame with a touch of spice blessed my mouth. The employees were kind and helpful and the restaurant was clean! More...
Hawaiian Ahi is a good bowl to start with. Simple, flavorful, and nothing too fancy.
Amazing fresh fare with tons of flavor!
Loves this placedVisiting from out of town and this place is very good. I got the Hawaiian Poke and seaweed salad. I even grabbed one to go.
Delicious poke. A bit more on the pricy side but has a great selection.
Really great flavors and combinations. My husband and I always split one of the spicy bowls with *extra protein and a side of kimchi; it's plenty of food for us. Also they have Sake flights! Lastly the employees here are knowledgeable and friendly. More...
Some of the best poké I've ever had
Bully's 12 Month challange
Spendy but very good and fresh. A good treat not for everyday, unless you're rich.
Great little spot with delicious healthy choices on food. Ambience is relaxed and causal. Decent selection on Asian beers and healthy nonalcoholic beverages.
Staff was nice and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The food was excellent and not over priced. Would recommend to anyone.
Portions of fish are plentiful, service is quick. A great place to swing by to grab poke to go!

Great food & atmosphere
Dank! Oh so dank. Yerba mate was a plus. Ah is perfect.
Very good fresh fish and a fantastic sake selection. Def worth a try for anyone that likes Poke.
The sake tasting flights were excellent, and my favorite dish was the tako (octopus).
Not the cheapest lunch in town however for a well portioned bowl of albacore poke with rice and everything, I'd say this is a fantastic price. First time visiting and guaranteed I'll be back. The Spicy Yuku Albacore bowl was phenomenal! More...
Very cool concept: think build-your-own-sushi but mixed in a nice hearty bowl. A handful of great beer options and really cool staff.
Fun flavors, they even have garlic chicken for non poke fans. Quick, healthy option for the casual eater. There's a bottle shop too!
Yum!! fresh fish, delicious sauce, brown or white rice and all 7-12 bucks.
Fresh amazing Poke, with a great selection of Sake.
Amazingly fresh and delicious Poke,' Don't miss the garlic fried chicken on fridays!!!
The food i ordered was korean style dish. My friend ordered japanese style dish. I like the one my friend ordered (yuzu shoyu sauce)
Besides for the small portion of tuna and small portion of toppings. The flavors make up for it the Miso Gluten free dressing is very flavor full and love the bubu arare"mini rice crackers
Does it still count as a poke bowl if there wasn't any fish? I thoroughly enjoyed the kale tofu bowl. I went with the original sauce and it was delicious. It brought the whole bowl together! More...
Great poke very fresh and lots of toppings to choose from. Couldn't ask for anything more. Except for maybe a spicier sauce.
This place was the only place in Portland I planned ahead of time to eat. We loved it so much we went there twice in the 5 days we were there. The best poke I have ever had, and loved that I could choose brown rice for my poke! More...
We were visiting Portland from Colorado (originally from Hawaii) and had to get some fresh poke and we found Poke Mon. I got the Hawaiian poke with brown rice and it was delicious. The food was amazing and we ordered it to go to eat it as a picnic and the food was still great an hour or so later. The environment was very clean and ambience was great. Bathrooms were very clean and stocked with items for almost all needs. I would definitely recommend Poke Mon and visit again if ever in the area. More...
I thought the portions were a bit smaller than Joy Poke downtown, but the fish and toppings were all very fresh and delicious. We tried a brown rice bowl with ahi, as well as a salad with salmon. The salad could be bigger, but the rice was definitely enough food. It will take a few trips until I figure out my favorite poke bowl in Portland, but Poke Mon is definitely on the list, for the fast, friendly service and fresh fish. Plus they use koshihikari rice and the regular sauce wasn't too sweet like other places. More...
I've been to a few poke places in Portland, and this one is my favorite. Here's why! - Many poke places in Portland don't really have special sauces like Poke Mon does, or that sort of selection, which is a bummer but Poke Mon's sauces are what make this place. - The staff is super friendly and will make honest recommendations about the food. - Most of the time, I am able to be in and out within 5-10 minutes when I order something to go. - The lighting is great for taking photos (a plus for sure!). I highly recommend the garlic salmon bowl but with the original sauce instead. It's also better without the grapefruit. More...
I've been to most of the Poke spots in the city, Poke Mon is hands down the tastiest. The staff is always friendly, and the food is always delicious. The Hawaiian Ahi is my #1, but the Garlic Salmon (sub Miso!!!!) is the bomb.com also.LOVE. THIS. PLACE. More...
Amazing; they say that the Ahi comes in fresh every day from Hawaii, and you can tell. Dinner on a Saturday evening; no wait, took less than five minutes to get our food. So yummy
I've eaten here three times and have enjoyed it each time. The food is filling, but tastes light, fresh, and Pacific. It's nice to have an alternative to sushi and with some fast service. Great neighborhood to hang out in too. Go on a sunny day and eat at one of the outdoor tables with a beer. More...
I'll travel from anywhere in Portland to go here! Hands down best and freshest tasting Poke in Portland. The monthly chefs choice bowl is always a must try! Poke mon, please open more locations! More...
If you like fresh fish I would say this is your place. All my friends I go with love it. I'm vegan and I like the tofu bowl. They also have several tasty sake's--beer and wine only. The place is small but has a few outside seats. I have gone at rush times and the line moves fast. The staff has always been friendly to me. More...
