What I love most about my new orthodics from Podogo is that the slim shape means I can place them into all my shoes. They also support my feet in all the right places. My only regret is not purchasing them earlier! More...

I had been suffering with pain in my foot and knee while walking. After conducting a gait analysis, Steven Thomas identified a need for orthotics to unlock my big toe. The custom orthotics were crafted and fitted within 2 weeks of my appointment and have helped resolve my issues. I was particularly pleased with the flexible clinic hours and the technology present at the clinic along with the helpful manner of all the staff. More...

I had quite painful bunions, but I'm 17 and was told by a few people not to have surgery. However, I finally decided to remove one of them after going to Dr Nazir. Everything went absolutely fine- would definitely recommend just getting it done. It hurts so much less than you think and only for about 2 days after the operation. You're on crutches for about three weeks, but moving around completely normally after that. My physio was very impressed with the surgery and I'll be having the other one done at some point. 100% worth it! More...

I’ve seen Dr Nazir last November and he was the 1st one to exactly diagnose what was my problem even before the MRI. I hadn’t my surgery done mid February, Morton’s neuroma and plantar plate repair. 3 weeks home with some bearable pain and slow recovery but after 3 month already better and now just amazing! The pain I had for years and instability has completely disappeared. I can only recommend him to anyone having foot problems. I had seen other doctors but they never came with a so quick diagnosis and solution. I knew I could trust him and I’m so grateful!! Thank you Dr Nazir More...

We came to see Dr Nazir for my mom’s heel pain. He diagnosed her plantar fasciitis and explained all the treatment options with their side effects and his recommendations very well. She has had two treatments so far and is almost pain free already. His team is very efficient and supportive and doctor Nazir himself is extremely professional and knowledgable. Thanks Podogo!! While skiing, this year, I suffered from bad knee pains and foot cramps. A specialist at the resort recommended a trip to PODOGO by The London Foot Clinic. I visited the team and they quickly diagnosed flat feet and recommended a pair of custom made orthotics. I have been using the orthotics for around 2 months now have I’ve experienced marked improvement in pain when playing sports. They will be top of the packing list for my next skiing trip. I would recommend PODOGO by The London Foot Clinic to anyone experiencing foot or knee pain during physical activities. More...

I recently had my bilateral bunion surgery with Mr Kaser Nazir and couldn't be more pleased with the results. I hardly experienced any pain following the procedure, and have had a smooth recovery following Mr Nazir's advice. The rest of staff who have looked after me at the clinic during my follow-up appointments have been brilliant too. I will definitely recommend Mr Nazir's for any foot condition. More...

I cannot recommend Dr Nazir and his team enough. They're kind, supportive and with you every step of the way - from when you have the operation and during recovery. I had surgery on both of my feet which may sound daunting but it was honestly the best decision I ever made. Recovery has been smooth and I have had very minimal pain. Thank you Dr Nazir! More...

At Podogo, our podiatrists specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle and aspects of the lower limbs.

Our podiatrists at the clinic work in partnership with our team of consultant podiatric surgeon, orthopaedic surgeons sports physicians, physiotherapists, osteopaths and radiologists to ensure each patient is thoroughly assessed, diagnosed and optimum treatment is selected.

Initial consultations are often with our Podiatric Surgeon or Podiatrists whom will thoroughly assess your problem by taking a detailed history of your problems and goals to ensure that we can achieve the most optimal outcome.

Our specialities include:

Ingrown toe nail removal surgery
Verrucae/wart & corn removal
Foot & Ankle pain
Heel Pain Syndrome
Tendon Problems
Flat Feet
Gait Analysis & Orthotics
Foot Screening
Our podiatrists take a detailed clinical assessment, which may include a gait analysis. In some cases, conservative treatment by a podiatrist may be effective without surgery.

Many foot and ankle problems are stress injuries, caused by inappropriate footwear and poor gait when running or walking. These injuries can often be treated by podiatrists, using a combination of Orthotics, appropriate footwear and activity modification.

Our podiatrists, working closely with our physiotherapists, provide advice on appropriate footwear, core stability and stretching exercises, as well as prescribing orthotics.

Podogo utilises video gait analysis with specialist software designed to achieve the most accurate diagnosis of the way we walk and run.

The major focus of gait analysis is to measure the degree of pronation.
Pronation is the natural inward roll of the foot as the outside part of the heel strikes the ground. This roll acts as a shock absorber for the leg and body, optimally distributing the force of the impact of the heel hitting the ground.

Overpronation is when the feet roll inward too much
Underpronation (or supination) is where the feet don’t roll inward enough.
Gait analysis matches the degree of pronation with the correct shoe type, with the aims of counter-balancing over or underpronation, helping reduce the risk of injury and improving running efficiency.

3D FOOT MAPPING
The most advanced version of video gait analysis is 3D foot mapping, which, in addition to video, uses both lasers and micro cameras to create a highly detailed 3D image of the foot. A range of information obtained from the scan, such as arch height and the alignment of the Achilles with the leg, is assessed to source the perfect orthotic and could even help runners get to the root of any recurrent injuries.

Orthotics are specialist Insoles or devices that provide structure support to improve foot posture.

At Podogo you can expect the manufacture of high quality orthotics after an accurate and firm diagnosis and investigation process which involves a comprehensive biomechanical and gait assessment.

The types of Orthotics available are:
1)General Orthotics
2) Sports Orthotics
3) Dress Orthotics
4) Diabetic Orthotics
5)Ankle Foot Orthoses
6) Children's Orthotics

Acute and chronic foot & ankle sports injuries are common amongst people of all age groups and activity levels. It is also a common presentation of pro and semi-pro athletes and sports men and women. We specialise in the accurate diagnosis of your sports injury with the help of our multidisciplinary podiatric team, physio and radiologists

You may have one or more of these symptoms:
Sharp / Stabbing pain
Deep aching ankle feeling chronically bruised
Popping
Instability
Swelling with pain
Locking of the joint
Most foot and ankle sports injuries are managed conservatively with ice, rest, braces, splints and air boots and you may return to normal activity levels within a few weeks. However a thorough assessment by a foot & ankle specialist is vital to eliminate serious problems.

X-rays, MRI, Ultrasound and CT scans are commonly used to assess the degree of damage and prognosis of each treatment.

Foot surgery often involves the repair of damage to the foot & ankle which which may have occurred to bone, muscle, tendon, nerve, other soft tissue (such as ligaments). Common sports injury operations include surgery to reconstruct foot & ankle ligaments and tendons, achilles tendon repair, ankle arthroscopy and reconstruction and arthroscopic arthrodesis or fusion surgery to combat symptoms of arthritis.
