I can not begin to describe how awesome Jamaal is! From the first email to our wedding and beyond -- Jamaal has been amazing. He was so responsive to all of my emails -- even the ones I sent at like 3am. I was already blowing my wedding budget, so I booked Jamaal as a single shooter (trying to save money) -- much to my delight, he surprised me by bringing a second shooter with him anyway (he notified me about a week prior). He and Loren worked seamlessly together. They showed up earlier than expected and got to work immediately. I told Jamaal that I didn't want to do many staged photos -- I wanted the candid moments captured. I got more than I could have bargained for. Of course, we did the major staged photos of family and bridal party, but it was done so quickly and smoothly that we all still got a chance to enjoy part of the cocktail hour. Throughout the night, I honestly didn't realize all of the moments they were capturing -- they truly blended in with the guests. We had videographers as well, and Jamaal worked cohesively with them that it seemed as though they were a team. There was no competition among them like I've heard with others. Even more, we got ALL of our photos back ridiculously fast! We got married on a Saturday and had all of our photos by Thursday! It was the most amazing experience, ever! Having Jamaal's team photograph our wedding was one of the best decisions we have ever made! We felt like we were old friends immediately during our FaceTime intro meeting. Jamaal's warmth, confidence, and the depth of his knowledge of wedding timelines and needs put us instantly at ease. Jamaal was working another event on our wedding date so we worked with photographers Kendra and Ruby. Kendra's incredible positive energy had everyone laughing and smiling all day long. She took charge when needed, calmed my nerves during a few 'moments' and worked the room effortlessly. Ruby was lovely, friendly, and knew exactly what to do at all times. I don't think I can say enough about Jamaal and his team. From the first time we spoke, Alex and I knew we had found the right guy for the job. Jamaal invited us to one of his favorite restaurants in Old Town for our consultation where he, Alex and I spent the entire evening talking and laughing like we had been friends for years prior! It's been an incredible high since then. Jamaal gave us a few spots for our engagement session and even included a session at where Alex & I first met. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. Jamaal and Ruby worked the room so well, our family and guests had nothing but great things to say about them both. Jamaal photographed our November 2017 wedding and let me tell you, he absolutely nailed it! I booked Jamaal over a year before our wedding date. I started searching all DC, Maryland and even Philadelphia wedding photographers at that time and within seconds of viewing Jamaal's online portfolio I knew he was the guy for us. He has an effortless, timeless, natural style that is so beautiful. We only met in person with Jamaal once before our wedding day and he was still able to tap into who we are and captured our wedding day perfectly for us. That is something truly special. I hired Jamaal and his team a bit last minute. My photographer unfortunately cancelled on us and I was Frantic! Our wedding was less than 2 months away! When I got in touch with Jamaal, he was so helpful and was patient, knowing that I'd been through the process already and I was, admittedly, short tempered. He was so great! He came all the way to Baltimore for a Consultation! His service was stellar! His style during our wedding day was so easy and everyone loved him! They initially thought he was part of my wedding party because he was in our colors! Can't say enough good things about Jamaal and his work! If you're on the fence about it, Book him NOW! We worked with Peter for our wedding on 4/27/2013 (ceremony at a church in Reston and reception at the International Country Club).
We are SO HAPPY that we found Peter through all of the photographer options. We met with him prior to the event, and Peter showed 100% enthusiasm and commitment to helping us plan and execute our big day. He has the experience and expertise as a photographer to capture every moment and much more.
Peter was there for the FULL WEDDDING DAY, from pictures at my parents place getting ready to the exist at our reception. That is something that not all photographers can offer without added fees, but Peter's commitment to a great wedding photographer experience includes the full day in his price, which is worth every penny. Peter caught every "moment" we wanted, and was there for all the fun candids in between.
Overall a great photographer who is committed to his craft and providing a stress-free and successful wedding picture experience. His quality of pictures was great and could not have been happier!

We met Peter about 9 months before the wedding and we knew immediately that he would be a good fit as our wedding photographer. Peter is very detailed oriented. He is thorough and reliable. He also respects your personal space. This was particularly important to me because I did want to feel like the photographer was always in my face at the wedding. Peter took our engagement photos. He did a great job and they were ready and edited within a week. At the wedding, he and his assistant captured all of the moments we were looking for. With two photographers, they were able to capture them from different angles. I was very happy with all of my pictures and I am looking forward to continue working with Peter on my wedding albums. Peter is fabulous! This is the second wedding that he has photographed for us. The process is s seamless and Peter knows how to set up every shot without any hesitation. He even kept track of a thunder storm so that we got outdoor pictures before a deluge! Peter also posts pictures the same night as the wedding so that you can review the day's events right away!! He is great to work with because his work is top-notch, he is flexible on what my fiancee and I wanted, he was willing to work with us to make sure we got everything we wanted in our engagement shoot, he was flexible according to our budget, he was early everytime we met him, and he made the time go by fast without complaining about how much time the photos took for the engagement.
