What kind of accounting services do you provide?
A full range of accounting services from preparation of management accounts through to full statutory accounts. Preparation and submission of your taxation returns either as sole trader, partnership and limited companies. Vat reporting and returns. PAYE and payroll solutions.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Accountants are not there simply to file your tax returns. Aside from accounts being a requirement, as a business you can benefit from the services of a great accountant. As a fully qualified FCCA I can highlight areas that may need to be addressed to improve performance and profitability as well as ensuring that all income and expenditure is accurately recorded to ensure the correct level of tax liabilities are established.
What do you love most about your job?
I have always had an ability for numeracy and a love of accountancy from an early working age. It is most satisfying being able to help solve problems for small traders and businesses that many would find a distraction from achieving their main business goals. Most people running their own businesses find bookkeeping, accounting and taxation issues a chore and that is where I am able to help.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been providing accounting services for my friends for a number of years but since taking early retirement I now feel that I have time and energy to provide a full service without the distractions from my previous employment as a Finance & Shared Services Manager within the co-operative sector.
