Plyo Fitness was exactly what I needed during this lockdown! I first started going to Plyo when they reached out for a 12 week training program. Every other time I've gone to the gym in the past, I would go consistently for a few weeks and then stop. Doing this challenge was the perfect motivation I needed to start working out consistently, and I can't believe just how much progress I've seen in only 3 months!This place has great music, great trainers, and a great atmosphere for anyone who is just starting or far along on their physical fitness journey. I will definitely be continuing to go daily even after my 12 week program is over, and definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a gym to try this place out! More...

This is hands down my favorite gym of all time. I was first introduced through the 6 week challenge, and I loved it so much I extended for another 6 weeks. It's the most fun I've ever had working out consistently (literally, 12 weeks, 5 days a week). I look forward to going to the gym now. Plyo Fitness was just what I needed to get back in shape post lockdown. The instructors and staff are really friendly and helpful, the gym is well equipped, and the community they have built is incredible. Plyo is truly is a judgement free zone where everyone wants you to achieve your goals. The class sizes are small which allows you to receive more personalized attention and keep you accountable. PLYO fitness is amazing! I have recommended this place to several people now. Trainers are not pushy and work with you. Staff is friendly. They've been supportive with workout (especially with having back issues) and meal plans. I've lost over 12lbs and put on lean muscle. My body has noticeably  transformed and it's only been 3 weeks. A great fitness establishment with smaller, accessible classes, targeted workouts and much more individualized attention than you'd find anywhere else. There's also open gym space should you want to workout individually. The trainers are personable and informed, the staff are equally amiable. I participated in the Plyo Fitness 6 Week Challenge and it was INCREDIBLE. The staff and instructors were all super patient and during class, each instructure took the time to go over each and every exercise with me as I eased into the Plyo Weighlifting track. Love this gym, been going here for about two years now. I've worked out for years but have never been able to fully meet my fitness goals until I began at plyo. Hot diggity dog. Yeah! I just said that. This place got me to my goals. The trainers are in-tune and THEY CARE! They answer all my questions, and I ask a lot. lol. They are always proactively guiding me through the programming so that I keep growing in strength, power and functionality. I've lost weight, grown muscle and my body has transformed, here. They give you a variety of programming that you can tailor and grow with. It's all very dynamic. The last key feature is that the culture is good, here. People are chill, nice, and the staff is very supportive. This is how a fitness spot should be. Not to mention, this place brings me daily sanity. I'm a lifer. Plyo is one of the only available gyms during these crazy Covid times and they're providing a much needed solution for staying healthy. They give you workouts to follow and the trainers are helpful regarding form and any questions you might have. I'm excited to try out the gym when we're back to normalcy, but even during Covid, it's great to have a place to go be active and yet stay safe. I signed up for this gym and everything went ok until I wanted to csncel the membership. I called them and said that I want to cancel my membership and they said I will have to pay for the next month by the contract and zi said I know and it's ok. So now it is 3rd month of my cancellation and I get a notification that I was charged $150 is ridiculious. That is a robbery. Stay away from this scam . The atmosphere is perfect and with less equipment than what you might find at one of the bigger gyms around town, I find myself getting an even better workout. My friend and Plyo trainer Cristiano initially introduced me to this gym. I loved it the minute I went in. It's an intense workout, but fun and with great upbeat music! When I got approached about doing their 6 week challenge program, I was excited, a little nervous, but ready to commit. They gave me a nutrition program, and did before (and eventually after) photos. The meal plan was tough for me the first week. It was hard trying to stay on top of my meals, my eating, and eating at the right times. I was nervous about brand new workouts the first week too, but Steve, the owner, made it super easy and was extremely helpful. He answered all of my questions and made me feel welcome. Also, I usually am the type that likes to be in my own little world when I work out, so once I grew familiar with the workouts, Steve would check on me but still allow me the space to do things on my own until I had more questions!<br><br>Over the 6 weeks, to be totally honest, the commute was a little tough for me as I don't live super close to the area and LA traffic is always terrible. However, aside from that little detail, I truly loved getting to come in everyday and have a goal to do a little better than the day before! For their weightlifting classes, they give you a small packet with all of the workouts listed for the week, and each day you mark in the weight you're doing. Each week I could see what I did before and tried to do just a little more. It made me feel like I was accomplishing something, it felt great! I wasn't used to going to the gym 5 times a week but with my workout schedule laid out, I looked forward to doing 5 pounds more the next day, and showing myself my will to work harder. The meal plan definitely opened my eyes to how much I needed to be eating according to my goal (gaining weight), as well as what I should be eating and the variety I should be eating. It kept me on track, and kept me mindful. All things I want to still continue in my life for many many years! The trainers were great, and truly everyone there, customers included, were kind, warm, and good supportive people.  <br><br>Overall, I loved this experience and would highly recommend it! If you want a gym that is welcoming, supportive, but still allows you the space to do your thing on the days you just want to go in, put in the work and head out too, this is your gym! I took part in Plyo's 12-week challenge. Steve is an incredibly supportive trainer. He makes you feel welcome and valued, and knows when and how to push you. Coming in 5 days a week, you're susceptible to getting in a rut. But I thought he was very good about helping me keep things fresh. The amenities are very nice and the plyo HIIT classes range from challenging to brutal (in a good way). You never quite know which one a class is going to be, but I found it best to start out pushing myself hard and then adjusting later if need be. I saw excellent results from the program. I stumbled upon this place via ClassPass and took a weightlifting class one day. I liked it so much, and having Steve as a trainer that I signed up for their 6 Week Challenge- and it has been a HUGE benefit to my life. <br>Doing the 6 Week Challenge, I was REQUIRED to go to class 5 times a week. When you are starting a gym for the first time and waking up your body, this is a GIGANTIC help to have pressure to go. The hardest part about working out consistently is getting out of bed and going to the gym, but the mandatory attendance made it a non issue.<br>Steve is there for all classes and walks around and shows you the movements. It's literally like having a personal trainer for every workout. If you are sore in one area, he will adjust your workout right then and there. He corrects your form, encourages you to move up in weight and not rest too long. <br>My favorite part about this gym are the Bowflex dumb bells that are used. Each one goes up to 50lbs, and adjusts inside a case so you are not consistently adding and taking off weights. You simply set it down, turn a knob, and the weight is set. You have your own bench and plenty of room to move. Each session ends with an ab workout.<br>If you aren't into lifting weights, there are Plyometrics classes throughout the day that focus on cardio and calisthenics with trainers that don't mess around!<br>I never thought I would be a gym guy, but this gym has finally added structure and physical discipline that I have been seeking! I am on my final week of the 12 week challenge. The whole staff has been incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. The class sizes make you feel like you are a part of a community and not just a number. The facility and equipment are state of the art as well. The classes are difficult but are manageable for a person of any fitness level. They are constantly upgrading equipment and providing all of the tools to make sure you succeed. Getting back into the gym after such a long hiatus is difficult but the Plyo Fitness team made the whole process much easier. Awesome workout class!! I just recently started a few weeks ago and I’m already seeing results! I’ve dropped a few lbs and already noticed I’ve toned a bit! Each of the trainers really push you to do the best you can do without making you feel out of place! They are all very friendly and helpful when doing your workout! Plyo Fitness's 12 Week Challenge helped me get back into my fitness regimen! The workouts are jam packed with a variety of exercises based on functional fitness, so the movements are modifiable for any fitness level or those working with injuries. I am really motivated for the weight lifting classes I am currently taking and I have already seen great results in my endurance and strength in just 5 weeks. .it's all about healthy, clean eating and consistently going to the the classes they offer to get results you want. I just completed their 12 week Weightlifting challenge! Before working out here I'd gone to gyms on my own on and off throughout high school and college but never a program like this. I can say that I'm very happy with my results so far and plan to continue working out here! <br><br>The instructors work with you to learn what your background with fitness is and where a good place to start each exercise is. They work with you to make sure you have correct form and are lifting a weight you are both ready for but it's still a challenge. <br><br>They are also very patient and welcoming - really anyone can start! It's very LGBT friendly. If you don't know how to do an exercise they'll show you how. <br><br>I went 5 days a week, M-F before work at 7am and it's really a great way to start your day. In the weightlifting classes each day is a different muscle group and so by the end of the week you've worked your whole body in a focused way. <br><br>I also took a few of the Plyo classes, they're always intense and a whole body workout but a TON of fun. <br><br>Also worth mentioning they have shower facilities on site as well as a small kitchenette/fridge if you need to store your lunch before work which was invaluable to me. <br><br>They also play great music which makes a difference!! So does consistency - going often is a commitment of time and energy but I've seen results that I like, I feel better, and I've made several new friends going here. More...

As I write this review, I am one day away from completing my 12 week plyo challenge with Alfonso, one of a small handful of personal trainers on staff at Plyo Fitness. If you'd asked me three months ago, I'd have told you I'd be jumping for joy to be done with it, but as my program nears completion I'm looking to sign up for another.<br>  Quite simply, I've never had a more positive fitness experience. Working out at Plyo has changed the way I view my athletic potential, as it's an environment perfectly designed to push you harder than you thought possible while keeping you feeling comfortable and positive about your ability. The newly designed space has an aesthetic energy that I look forward to walking into everyday, and the workouts are always varied and exciting; albeit super intense! As hard as it may be, Alfonso always approaches each client with 100% positivity, and never makes you feel uncomfortable about your fitness level. I think I stumbled into PLYO Fitness through some sort of divine intervention. I was at my all-time heaviest weight, totally sedentary/out of shape, and pretty depressed TBH.  On a whim, I signed up for a 7pm Friday weightlifting class through Classpass which ended up being a 1:1 personal training session with the great Steve himself! Not only did he kick my butt (I was crazy winded after only a few body-weight exercises lol), he took the time to get to know me and my goals and saw potential in me that I didn't even see in myself. When he suggested I try his 12-week PLYO challenge, I was scared I would be totally out of my element and fail.  Fast forward 12 weeks later and I'm now 15 pounds lighter, knocking out 50 burpees at a time like it ain't no thang, and way more energized, fit, &amp; confident overall. It's all about consistency and these trainers and this gym make PLYO the highlight of my day.<br><br>The instructors do a great job of keeping the pace of the class really fun/varied,  and the group setting helps keep you accountable for trying your hardest. Everyone is encouraging and the instructors are great about suggesting modifications to suit every fitness level or work around pre-existing injuries. <br><br>The 60-minute class flies by so quickly, leaves me drenched in sweat and feeling like a BAMF. The members are really supportive and encouraging of each other, and I love that it's an LGBTQ inclusive space. Just completed a 12 week challenge and I would recommend to anyone trying to improve their fitness/health. I received a nutrition plan and professional workouts with dedicated trainers. The staff here is very friendly and professional. They take time to know their members. The trainers recognize that everyone is at a different fitness level but still push you to better yourself. The workouts improved my strength and cardio fitness. They provide a good mix of exercises that keep it challenging and new. I definitely recommend Plyo Fitness. I've done other interval training classes before (Barry's, Training Mate, Orange Theory, Brick) and none of them really kept my attention and/or got me the results that I was looking for. <br><br>Plyo is a fun class that gets you a really good work out. Cristiano and Alfonso are phenomenal instructors. They always have fantastic music and have a good way of motivating you to push yourself just a bit more to get you the results you want. This has been one of the most successful workout experiences I've had. I've always been active at the gym but this is the first time where I've actually seen results. I am in the middle of my 6th week doing Weightlifting classes with Steve.    I cannot say enough good things about this gym.  This is a supportive and relaxed environment in which I have always felt no anxiety and plenty of motivation to push myself.  The staff including Steve are all knowledgeable, supportive and know how to guide, inspire and push you without making you feel defeated or inferior.  I have grown to enjoy the routine of showing up 5 days a week and seeing many of the same friendly faces. My goal is to gain weight and muscle and I have gained more weight in 6 weeks then I have ever put on in any training program in the past! I started on the 12 week fitness challenge ten weeks ago. It's been a long haul and I'm challenged physically every day. It's become an integral part of my fitness, and health. The results have been great, I've lost weight and gained a lot of lean muscle. <br><br>The instructors are great. They push you without yelling at you. Great class! Took the Plyo class with Alfonso on Friday and it was such a good workout. Good mix of cardio/HIIT and light strength training. I got a good burn from the class and definitely felt a little sore the next day. Alfonso knows how to push you to your max and is super encouraging. Definitely worth checking out!<br><br>There are lockers where you can secure your stuff. There's a shower in the bathroom but it all felt a bit cramped. I hated working out by myself! I would go to the gym and just be on my phone or socialize with my friend. Then in 2012, I was cast in a P90X informercial. My entire life changed when I received training 5 days a week in a consistent schedule. I was so inspired by my results, that in the process of filming I became certified. My love for fitness was born and I haven't stopped since! I started training fitness courses in a small 500sqft fitness studio. Now, we've grown to become Plyo Fitness. We're in a 5,000sqft 1930s sound studio with beautiful wood beams and high ceilings, perfect for fitness training. It's a dream come true, and I'd love to share my love of fitness with you.

No other studio in Los Angeles will focus more on individual students than Plyo Fitness. We guarantee that you will get all the attention and help necessary for you to reach your fitness goals.

Plyo muscle movements exert maximum force in short intervals of time, with the goal of increasing power (speed and strength). This training focuses on learning to move from a muscle extension to a contraction in a rapid or “explosive” manner, such as in specialized repeated jumping. Burn up to 1,000 calories per class and boost your resting metabolism, enabling a continuous burn after class is over. After a few weeks of enrollment expect higher levels of energy, an endorphin rush, visible body toning and a decrease in stress.

In the outer safe space provided, we will use meditation to create space within. This guided meditation class will allow us to connect to and observe our entire self. In other words, we will connect with the universe within to better reconnect with everything and everyone else. The concept “As within so without, as above so below” rings true to this class. As we take the time to see into our inner universe, we will be able to observe ourselves without judgements, creating a safe space within so we can heal, become curious, have a clearer mind, a more open heart, and become a more conscious being.
