Balanced athlete workouts have restored my belief that I will recover fully (at age 61) from a total ankle rebuild (at 58. ) I had worked hard to rehab my ankle but it wasn't until Balanced Athlete certification class that I fully believed I could rehab it like a teenager. Recently, I went to a yoga class after three weeks of home practice emphasizing block 1 of the Balanced Athlete, and was stunned at how fluidly my body moved, and at my ability to balance on each leg with precision and control. I can't wait to try running barefoot in the spring, and to help people who, like me, are achy, aged, and able. I have a one of my clients rolling her feet with a PVC pipe and doing the Foot Primer I learned at PTCon 2018 from Johnny Gillespie of Balanced Athlete. Previously she had broken one foot and also tore 4 ligaments on the bottom of the other foot. About a week ago she let me know that her Dr. doesn't want to see her every 3 weeks as she has been doing for a few years. He only wants to see her when she needs to. More...

Balance Athlete is truly cutting edge and revolutionary training. It will teach anyBODY how to synchronize mindfulness and breathing with body awareness to master mobility through stability. No amount of words can possibly describe my gratitude towards dedication and passion of Johnny's teaching. When I was hesitant about committing myself to the Level 1 BA training program, Johnny assured me that it will be a life changing weekend, he was totally right. I feel better prepared for my own practice which I can take it with me for the rest of my life, and who knows, I may even have enough courage at some point in my life to actually teach people. Johnny and the Balanced Athlete have had a profound impact on my personal practice. As someone who suffered with a failed hip surgery, B. A. helped to stabilize and strengthen not only my practice, but the way I hold my body on a day to day basis. Johnny G. does an incredible job teaching this practice so that it's easy to understand and use on any given day. The Balanced Athlete Program changed everything for me-for the better!! I am a 500RYT and I learned so much from Johnny and Sara Gillespie. This was the most comprehensive, yet user friendly material you will find on safe, effective movement. It has changed how I teach and I feel like I can really HELP people address the patterns and habits that they bring to fitness.
