Come before they stop serving most of the menu on the ground floor. Good news: You can enjoy big old sausages and still hear the rockin' band from the restaurant on the upper level. Bonus: Tons of outdoor and indoor seating and lots of dancing. More...

Great place for excellent beer and bands! We listened to Billboard Live for the second time here, and they absolutely rocked! The lead singer saud he was under the weather, but it didn't stop him from belting out rock classics from Rod Stewart, the Who, Beatles, and Wings (my personal favorites), as well as from many other bands! As expected, the food was authentic and flavorful. We sat upstairs on the deck and the only downside were the ants. It was annoying and our food was not carried away.
All the rain must of disturbed their homes.
Anyway please go and enjoy the German food and beer. Super good!!!

We went to the front dining room first. The service was slowwwwww. We had to ask several times for a waitress, water, bread, lemon. ..Once the food arrived, it was lukewarm. We went to the Garden afterwards to listen to the house band ('70s night). The band sounded great. Wish there was a better sound system because if you weren't standing right in front of them, you couldn't hear what they were saying in between songs. Overall, I love the ambiance. More...

Been coming here since I am about 7 years old. We used to have our Franklin Square PBC and Raiders soccer awards breakfasts and dinners. This place never ceases to amaze me. I have had the pleasure of playing soccer on those amazing fields out back as a part of the Hota Bavaria travelling team. Getting back to the place itself though, can't ask for a finer, more authentic German restaurant in Nassau County or maybe even in all of NY. The Christmas Decor was beautiful as always and the staff is as friendly as they are efficient. The food is 2nd to none. I felt like I was at my grandparents house again for dinner. There was no rush to finish up, from the potato pancakes to the large pretzel appetizers to the Champignon Rohmschnitzel with the cream sauce right to the black forest cake for dessert and coffee. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and you'd be hard pressed to find 1 as well. More...

I have been there all different seasons for different occasions and was happy every time. Summer the biergarten is great to be outside and enjoy great beer (I am not a normal beer drinker) great food and atmosphere. In winter it's cozy warm. I have gone to the restaurant the food is amazing and feels like you are eating at your German grandma's kitchen :) I had my daughter's baptism in the biergarten and beyond happy. Service was amazing, space was huge, food amazing priced GREAT... so easy to deal with and make arrangements... the guests loved it as did we:) happy customer :) More...

Went to a wedding here and was really impressed! The name of the restaurant made me think the food would be strictly German, however, it was pretty decent Italian food. The main course options were typical (prime rib, chicken, sole, etc) they also offered one German choice (schnitzel) and overall the food was really good. The buffet cocktail hour has a nice spread of italian meats and cheeses and even a baked pasta dish. The bar served premium liquor, which was a plus! The Grand Ballroom was big enough for 250 guests with a massive dance floor. Overall it was a great local venue. More...

Haven't been there in a few years. Was very surprised by how nice the beer garden restaurant looks. We were there for an Austrian regional picnic. I was surprised to see security going through people's bags. They said it was for security purposes but really they were making sure you did not bring in any outside food. No chips or pretzels or even water. Y oi u had to buy any food there...at huge prices!! Would like to try the actual restaurant someday. More...

Awesome food, awesome atmosphere. I have been to Germany multiple times and this is as close as it gets to the real thing. They have bands almost every weekend, the best thing to do is go to the website and get the events list.. The beer garden is awesome and the German beer selection is great, not like other places that call themselves a German restaurant / bar and there is only one to two German beers on the menu and the only food they have is schnitzel and bratwurst. I must say the menu in the beer garden is limited but still very good. The main restaurant has a larger menu and make sure you make a reservation if your going to the restaurant because it is not that big. Oh one more thing, the mini sliders are a must but let me warn you once you have them there is no going back. There is plenty of parking, they have a main lot and there is a free lot a block away. If you are looking for an authentic feel and taste this is your place... More...
