We used Leo from Platinum Productions for our MC/DJ this July for our wedding at Fort Garry Hotel. We had come recommended by our planner when a family member bailed on us for MC duties. We were hesitant at first to use a non family member for MC services so we reached out to Platinum to see if we could meet with Leo before making any decisions. We met at a local restaurant lounge where we quickly realized that Leo was the real deal. He was extremely funny, outgoing and understood exactly what we were wanting. He offered ideas that we had not even thought about doing. After that meeting, we met with Leo 3 more times to go over details and he maintained constant contact with us by phone and email to ensure he was always in the loop of the planning. He worked hand and hand with our planner to organize, and set up the entire evenings timeline so that it flowed naturally and timely. The day of our wedding, we had a last minute situation with one of our bridesmaids that caused huge drama and necessary changes to the timeline. Leo handled it professionally and made a uncomfortable situation bearable with his quick witted humour. The entire reception ran smoothly and much better than we could have ever hoped for due to Leo’s attention to detail and classy demeanor. We used Platinum Productions for our backyard wedding this past August and we can’t say enough good things about it. They gave us advice ahead of time on room layout which was so helpful to us. The dj arrived early to do his set up and then hung around with the groomsmen until the ceremony started. He did the ceremony flawless, even with an officiant that was being a bit of a diva and not wanting to use a microphone. He was vey gentle but firm that the microphone was important for guests to hear everything and they did! During dinner, he has some unique ideas on games to entertain the guests and it was hilarious as he got my reserved uncle up to the dancefloor and literally had him laughing so hard he fell to the ground. We had a very specific idea of what we wanted for music and he followed it to a T! No Drake was going to be played at my wedding, even it there was a number one song at that time. Our guests stayed much longer than we thought they would because the music was enjoyable and the dj was truly fun. You could tell he enjoyed what he was doing and I don’t regret anything about hiring them. DJ Paul did an awesome job! He has been the DJ for myself and 2 of my siblings. We had our Wedding at Hecla this summer and we couldn't be happier with everything he did for us and going the extra mile! He setup games that got the tables laughing and socializing and was great with the crowd.He was also organized and help out a lot with the evening including helping MC when my brother inlaw needed a break.Thanks again Paul and Platinum! We recently had our social at Cresentwood in March and I cannot express how happy we were with experience. The dj was fantastic and everything we could have hoped for. He was early, very attentive to what we wanted and took care of all announcements without us having to babysit him. He keep the night going and had great suggestions that we did not even think of. We picked a must play list in advance and I heard a lot of the songs when I was not busy running around.
