I had the wonderful pleasure of hiring Platinum Media Concepts for my wedding. I worked directly with DJ Big Swole aka Alan. He did a great job of acquiring all the songs I requested. He was very easy to work with and ended up guiding me through everything we should do since I was inexperienced. He asked all the right questions and because of that when the big day arrived everything went smoothly. He arrived promptly and was dress appropriately. Most importantly, my guests had a blast. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
The key to a great party is the complete partnership between the client and DJ. The client's vision for their party is always our top priority and we work exclusively to meet those expectations. There is nothing worse than an obnoxiously talkative DJ or a DJ that does not engage with his crowd. We use the client's vision for their party and perform our set, based on the type of crowd, type of event as well as the energy desired for the room. During our consultations, we walk our clients through what it takes to create the optimum party environment that will match their expectations. For instance, some clients want a dance party, club environment. Some may want their event to build up to a club event, such as a wedding reception. Others may want background music. The DJ's energy must transform all night long while he or she stays connected with his audience and client. We pull our audiences into our energy. We play the right songs at the right time. More importantly, we don't just provide the party, we join the party.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
My style is upbeat and professional. My team and I are turntable specialist with nightclub and radio experience. My personal skills has taken me to many countries to perform to include Jamacia, the Bahamas as well as many points in Europe. Stateside I've played The Apollo Theater in New York City, DAR Constitution Hall here in Washington D.C. to name a few.
What do you love most about your job?
I love music. More importantly, I love the energy I give and receive at my events. It feeds my creative side while I work to help people have a great time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
On word, FREEDOM. I built the company because I wanted the freedom to run a business that was not about the money, but about the music and about energy.
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients should choose me and my team because we believe rockin' a party is an art, not just a business. We never use sub-contractors so the DJ they talk to, planning their event, is the DJ who will show up. We are immediately empowered to do whatever is needed to make your event one to remember.
