Plantation Gardens was the perfect place for our intimate family reception after our elopement ceremony at Shipwreck beach! The space, the food, the service was absolutely excellent!!! Amy Evans who is the event planner for the restaurant is awesome to work with. She was super nice, engaged and helpful throughout the entire process, making it so easy planning from afar. I would highly recommend working with her especially if you are planning an intimate reception/event. Also the restaurant is located on Kiahuna Plantation. I highly recommend staying there as well. Very nice place for date night or to meet up with friends. Located in Poipu, definitely worth a visit. Has a gorgeous garden in the front and nice open air place. Went for happy hour and had a chicken sandwich with a few drinks. Drink are priced very reasonable at $4-$5 for happy hour. You won’t find as nice a place as this with those prices. Service was good. We were a large group so it did take some time to get drinks at first but waiter kept checking when mine was low. Only complaint is parking is not near the restaurant. My husband and I held our rehearsal dinner here at the end of August. Those whole experience blew us away. I recently worked with Amy Evans with a small group private dinner at Plantation Gardens Restaurant. She made the whole planning process easy planning from Nebraska. The chef's and staff made an AMAZING dinner with delicious options for our unusual special requests of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free special diets. We had our ceremony and wedding at Plantation Gardens. Planning a wedding from thousands of miles away can seem totally overwhelming; however, Amy made the planning process so simple. Plantation Gardens works with the BEST vendors--and made the process so easy. It felt as though we were able to just show up and enjoy the day--they took care of every detail, which was exactly what we wanted. Amy is well respected on the island and a joy to work with. She kept me calm as the ring bearers became a bit rowdy right before their big moment. The orchid garden is an amazing location for the ceremony--and seamlessly transitions into the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. The food was unbelievable--many of our guests stated the food was rated among one of their best meals they have ever had. They were sensitive and proactive for our guests with food allergies. There are many different options from the menu and it was so hard to narrow it down as everything looked so amazing. We ended up choosing the tuna, rib-eye, and surf and turf and all three were perfection. The service was just the BEST--they were so proactive and anticipated our every need. We received so many positive comments about how awesome the service was at our wedding. When my husband I were looking back on the day, there is literally not one thing we would have changed. We came in with a party of 6 for happy hour. The service was incredible and attentive, and the food was amazingly good. Both the Jackfruit BBQ sliders and the burger are absolutely perfect and the ceviche is fresh, savoury and spicy, and one of the best I've ever had. The tater tots are not to be missed and the Eha Kai Nia is an excellent non-alcoholic choice. They also brought my sister extra paper umbrellas to fuel her obsession over them. More...

One of the best kept secrets in Kauai, and one of our favorite restaurants in all Hawaii. Like stepping back in time into someone’s Kamaaina Estate home with its wide open-air lanais and intimate setting, this place is unlike almost any other. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer - incredible. I had the fish special, my wife had the appetizer and salad. Prices on Kauai are high and this is no exception, but still a better deal than many others in Poipu. We’ve been coming here for years and hope it retains its incredible charm. We live on Oahu and this is one place that has not gone corporate/ commercial, instead it has maintained its high quality and special ambiance. We had dinner at Plantation Gardens and although the food is pricey, it was the best dinner we had on the southern part of Kauai. The restaurant is in a gorgeous and peaceful garden setting; the atmosphere is relaxing and conducive to settling-in and enjoying some fine dining and great cocktails. Plantation Gardens, and Amy - our event coordinator, were simply incredible. We had our intimate (9 people) wedding reception there, and everything from start to finish was fantastic. Amy made everything so easy, and gave us tremendous confidence that everything would be handled so we wouldn't have to sweat the details. We've been to this place twice, seven years apart, and both visits have been magical. This most recent time we went on Mother's Day, and my mother and wife both had an amazing time. The food and drinks are superb, and the service was fantastic and very accommodating to both kids and adults. Also, you should definitely walk around and enjoy the gardens, either before or after dinner. You probably need a reservation to get a good seating time, and parking isn't an issue at all. More...
