In the event, I used another firm, but only because I already had a family connection to them and my original ambitious plans were greatly scaled back.
I however wanted to acknowledge the time Alex spent with me talking through both innovative and practical solutions to a perhaps overly- ambitious brief. I did not get the same level of inspiration from the firm I eventually used, and if I had continued with my original intentions, I would have chosen Alex - 100%.

I was refused planning permission by Barnet for a ground floor extension and was very upset and distressed by this. I then luckily found Alex who took over dealing with the planning officer and after negotiating with him for several months eventually got a revised plan accepted. In fact the new plan looks even better than the original one and now it has been built we are even more thrilled with the new extension. Without Alex,s help none of this would have been possible. What do you love most about your job?
We love helping people achieve their goal of obtaining planning permission for their home or property. Creating designs from a client's idea that later become a reality. Helping people who thought all was lost having been turned down or had enforcement notices issued, only for us to overturn the decision. Seeing the look on our client's faces when we obtain permission for them. We work for our clients and take pleasure in their success.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When we first started our business, we had been developing properties for years but there was an obvious gap between architects who could draw and design well but often failed to obtain planning permission, and planning consultants who knew how to approach the local authority but whose designs were unimaginative.
