Phil did a great, thorough job of stripping our 1930s interior doors. He was honest up front about the kind of finish we could expect (they were a bit 'rustic' to say the least! ) but we were pleased with the end result. He also offered a service to sand and wax them but we opted to do that part ourselves. They seemed very busy so there was a little bit of waiting to arrange collection and return of the doors - but I took that as a good sign that they were popular and did good work! Phil did a paint stripping on 5 of my 1930's original doors. After stripping the paint, he clamped the doors to make sure the parts dried nicely. He delivered the door, 5 days after collection, as expected. We could not believe how good the result was. I had trouble finding someone who stripped doors in East London. Anyone I found had bad reviews. I found P J Pine and they told me the cost for collection/return of doors. I decided to go ahead because I wanted to make sure my doors were in the hands of someone who knew what they were doing. I had 5 of my Victorian panel doors stripped of an old walnut varnish. They were restored pretty well and revealed an old rustic oak door underneath. After using a different company for some door stripping which was of really poor quality we were recommended PJ Pine & Son. We had 2 doors stripped, 1 being a 1930s front door with glass windows and about 15 layers of paint, I cant believe how well both of them turned out. You can really see the time, care attention that was put into stripping it and there was not a trace of any paint left.I would thoroughly recommend this company and will use them again in the future. We dropped off our antique cot on Wednesday and it was stripped and ready to be picked up by Friday. The service was brilliant from the initial phone call to the last pick up.
