What information do you need from a client before you start work?
Who, what, why, how and when... and then all of the collateral to begin work!
What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?
Printing and Web Design & Development. Catalogs, brochures, cards, posters, forms. The usual stuff you'll find in a print house!
What do you love most about your job?
The creative process. I've been fortunate to love what I do and do what I love for my entire career. Work isn't work when it's creative!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been self employed most of my career. I started when I was 16 at the local newspaper. I wonder if marketing our company on site such as Bark is wise? Will readers think we can't retain enough business? I have two young people that work for me, and we are located 8 miles from Lake Michigan in a northern, rural area. So basically 1/4 of my client radius ends up in the drink of Lake Michigan! I'd like to engage in a wider client base that will keep us all busy!
