TEETH CLEANING - I always recommend Pips for dog grooming (see review below) but have just used the teeth cleaning service for the first time. WOW - it is brilliant! My dogs teeth started to get a build up 18month ago when we had to change her diet. Despite brushing, cleaning chews, and anti-plaque granules in her food we made little progress. (I was concerned that the next vet visit they may suggest they clean them as it cost me nearly £200 many years ago to have my cats teeth cleaned) 1 quick treatment with Pips and her teeth are shining white again like when she was a puppy. I cannot believe they managed to remove it all in one session. Highly recommend. GROOMING. After a couple of bad experiences with other groomers my dog became very anxious about having her hair cut and would cry as I left her. Now, when she goes to Philip she can’t wait to rush in to see him. And ,despite her fidgeting, Philip manages to cut her hair exactly how I want it and at a competitive price. Definitely the best groomer I’ve found- and we have tried many. More...

My dog Alfie has been to Pip’s twice so far. He has his hair cut, a bath and his nails trimmed and comes out looking and smelling fab. What do you love most about your job?
My slogan is, making the world more beautiful one dog at a time and I honestly feel this as I groom. I love it when a really scruffy, dirty dog arrives and when I am finished with it the dog is almost unrecognizably beautiful.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My wife started a pet care business many years ago and I came to realise how much people really love their pets and want the best for them. I felt that grooming dogs would help them love their dogs more.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm not a large Grooming Salon, I groom one dog at a time in a very calm and pleasant environment. When you meet me you'll realise that I don't stress, I don't fuss and the dogs picked up on this and generally stay very calm and relaxed.
Dog grooming
A typical dog groom consists of: a pre-bath brush to remove any mats, a relaxing bath using certified cruelty-free shampoo, a quick and thorough dry using the latest dryers, a style to either a breed standard or your own requirements, nails clipped, ears cleaned, a splash of cologne and for the final touch a collar bow. all for one simple price.
Teeth Cleaning
Regular teeth cleaning will benefit the dog's oral health as well as reduce possible veterinary bills. With regular visits, I am able to remove plaque from the teeth and return the teeth to a nice white colour. The using a special doggie toothpaste and a modern ultrasonic toothbrush will help maintain healthy teeth and gums while giving you pooch a beautiful smile
