Tommy is an exemplary photographer. He was responsive, friendly, and knew how to build chemistry to get us comfortable for the shoot in a short period of time. We had contacted him for a maternity session in Honolulu about 2 weeks out and he quickly provided a recommendation, which turned out to be superb. Tommy was very personable, a great communicator, went the extra mile, and most importantly took amazing shots. I was planning my proposal in Oahu and needed a photographer to capture this special moment. I reached out to Tommy about two weeks before my arrival to give him a heads up on my plan. He was very easy to communicate with and gave me some ideas on the best locations for the proposal.Days prior to the proposal he suggested some additional items to have during the photo shoot to give our pictures that extra Hawaiian flair.The day of the proposal, Tommy coordinated all the logistics to ensure I was at the exact spot on the beach at the right time to capture the special moment. I did a sunrise proposal so there was little room for error.The photos Tommy took were amazing! He got awesome shots at ground level and some magnificent shots on his drone. The drone shots were a huge bonus that I was not expecting and some of my most favorite shots. My close friends who have saw the shots said "I set the bar". Hours after the photo shoot Tommy did not cease to stop impressing me. He tagged the proposal shots on my IG Story for that day and added creative engagement hashtags, emojis, and icons to make them stand out on my social media feed.Weeks after the photo shoot Tommy continued to communicate with me to make sure I received everything I needed.I could not have asked for a better photographer to coordinate and capture my proposal.mahalo!!! Tommy is not only a talented photographer but a very good to socialize with. Very pleasant personality as well as good at his work. We had to reschedule last min due to personal reason and he did not give any hard time or bad attitude. I had an amazing shoot with Tommy at Pineapple Sunrise! Â I was in dire need of some new professional shots for work. Â He took me to a place with an amazing water backdrop. Â He took the time to walk me through how to position the shots and get the right amount of light for these outdoor shots. Â He showed me multiple options to ensure I was getting what I wanted-as we were shooting. Â He worked tirelessly to make his schedule work for me, which was much appreciated. We came to Hawaii to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and I contacted Tommy before we arrived in regards to taking our photos on a special beach. He was very quick to respond and made our experience for the photo shoot so comfortable. He was also very cautious about being safe near the water and respecting the warning signs. 100 stars for Pineapple Sunrise Photography!!! Tommy photographed me and some of my closest friends for promotional materials for a haku lei-making business a few of our other friends own. Â We had the BEST time shooting with him, and believe me, the 5 of us at the crack of dawn must not have been easy to work with.. Â He was professional, supportive, and didn't take the whole process too seriously, which is probably what we loved most about him. Â By no means are we models, so it was great that Tommy had plenty of his own ideas for the shoot and gave us helpful corrections as we "posed". Â And I say "posed" because Tommy's photography follows a theme of being as naturally you as possible, which I feel contradicts all meaning of the word pose. Â In addition, he was cognizant of the business' vision for the photoshoot and had a constant dialogue with them to make sure he executed all the specific shots they requested while also providing his own direction. Â Â Not only does Tommy make you feel soooo comfortable, but he has this gift of capturing people in their truest form. Â I especially noticed this in our group shots..how Tommy's pictures represent our friendships so accurately and naturally and how illustrative they are of the times we typically spend together! Â So much so, every time he'd show us a picture in the view finder we'd all unanimously "AWWWWW :)". Even the solo shots were authentic and genuine to each person and their personalities. We were back home for vacation and our daughters's first birthday. Â I didn't know any photographers on Oahu so I tried Yelp for some quotes. Â Out of all the quotes Tommy was prompt in response, great price, and well worth my short time on vacation with my kids to get a quick photo shoot done with my family. Â We got what we wanted was photos with our family that we can put up in our homes. Â The app and the website where the photos are easy to use. My wife and I just did a photo shoot with Tommy and he was amazing. I'm a little self conscious and feel un-photogenic, if that is a word, but Tommy made me feel comfortable and actually made me look good somehow! We did a few outfit changes which he was totally cool with and he just had some really creative ideas to catch us in some candid shots. We did some in-water shots too, which I'm not sure how many photographers are down to jump in the water but Tommy sure was! I've been wanting to do a photo shoot ("trash the dress") since I moved to Hawaii 3 years ago. We just needed to wait for the right photographer! ! Â Tommy is awesome! Super helpful when posing us and telling us where to look or how to look. He took his time with us and we didn't feel rushed at all. He also let us do a few outfit changes which were great! We had our family photo shoot with Tommy this week while vacationing in Honolulu. I worked with him prior to arriving to ensure he could shoot exactly what I wanted. He was extremely accommodating and worked with me on the price so that I could have the best of both worlds with both family and surf photography. Compared to other photographers doing both types of shoots, he was way less expensive. I can't imagine anyone being nicer- he even let us borrow a couple of his personal boards so we could all paddle out together for pics. During the land shoot, he showed us back-of-camera pics to make sure he was capturing what we wanted. Everything looked beautiful and he shot more than I expected. Business wise he was prompt on response time, on-time both times we met, flexible with schedule and ideas- yet gave suggestions when needed. First off, I have to say we had THE BEST experience working with Tommy. My fiance and I needed last minute engagement​ photos and so we contacted Tommy to see how we could make it happen. He was so accommodating​ and we were able to shoot within the week. My fiance is very apprehensive​ when it comes to taking photos in general but when we met with Tommy, he felt so comfortable and was even having fun! A lot of it had to do with how chill and relaxed Tommy made us feel while we were shooting. We had never taken photos before so we didn't know how to pose, but Tommy made it all feel very natural and organic. My fiance and I truly​ had a great time during the shoot and will DEFINITELY​ contact him for further moments we need to be captured​ (maybe even when we have a kid :)!When we received​ the photos, in a very timely manner, we were amazed!! You could really tell he had a vision when taking the photos because of how beautiful​ they came out. We loved them so much we had a few printed on canvas to decorate our new house. Tommy was amazing to work with and knew all the great local spots to take us for our photoshoot! He has a great way of making you feel comfortable and getting you lose which allows for amazing natural photos. We had so much fun spending the afternoon with Tommy and would highly recommend working with him. We enjoyed the experience and photos so much that we hired him to be photograph our wedding this summer.
