I have been going to Pilates at PIlates Fusion for 3-4 years and through 3 different owners. I am so pleased with the new ownership. I love love love Deb and Marisa’s classes. I haven’t taken the others but I’m sure you’ll find great teachers in this boutique and friendly studio. More...

I first discovered the Del Cerro studio of Pilates Fusion over six months ago and have been coming regularly ever since. All the instructors I've worked with have been knowledgeable, attentive, encouraging, professional, and friendly. The studios are small enough that the teacher : client ratio allows for plenty of personal attention. They're both clean and airy with lovely new equipment, and parking easy and convenient.

I particularly appreciate the early morning sessions with Susan, allowing me to finish my workout by 7, before work. Renee and Deborah have been a godsend on the weekends, and I love their variety of offerings: reformer, mat, bosu, tower, yogalates. I see the weekday and evening classes are also very popular.

Try them. You'll feel better.

I waited a good while before I decided to leave a review. I began ~ 6 months ago in June (maybe July?). Nicole was my first impression of the studio and she set the bar high! Later, I met Bianca and she was amazing too! Their classes are so different, even if it’s the same class type, they teach so differently. They are both challenging instructors, just different - Nicole is a feisty, spit-fire gymnast and Bianca a statuesque, controlled ballerina. They are both phenomenal instructors and such sweet people, fun to be around. I work full-time, so I can only take the night classes during the week and morning classes on weekends and all have been great. No matter what class/when, I always leave feeling challenged; I always leave feeling it was worth the hour away from my family. I was in the fitness industry for nearly a decade “a lifetime ago” and have seen pretty much all genres of “gyms” and all kinds of instructors. Pilates Fusion is top notch! It’s the studio other Pilates studios say they are, but aren’t. I shopped around before committing (it’s an investment financially and I wanted to make sure I was going to love it). Other studios still felt like cookie cutter, corporate gyms. I felt like instructors didn’t necessarily care about me not what I was doing/learning. Some didn’t check in about past injuries nor check my positioning through the classes. I could go on and on about what other studios didn’t do, but it’s obvious they didn’t make the cut since they aren’t getting my patronage and this studio is. I am telling you, Pilates Fusion is amazing! I love it! It is clean, quaint, quiet, has great people and amazing energy -no fluorescent lights, intimidating members/instructors or dumbbell clanking here (thank goodness!). Both Bianca and Nicole are beyond knowledgable and flexible with individual modifications throughout their instruction; this is not a turn-key studio! It’s almost like going to a private session due to their attentiveness and the boutique class sizes. They always have fresh routines and new challenges. I’m telling you, if you’re thinking about, stop thinking and just do it (not to be cliche). See you there! More...

I began my venture into Pilates a little over a year ago. I have tried at least a half dozen studios and all but one for several vists. I went to another very popular chain for a couple of months (BP) and it was fine. I found Pilates Fusion through a Groupon. I fell in love with Pilates and especially with Bianca's classes. I learned so much about breathing and technicque and how to get the most out of my body and my workouts. I decided to really commit to my health and daily workout and I joined Pilates Fusion as a monthly subscription member. I can't tell you how this has changed my life! I LOVE all of the instructors here. Bianca, who owns Pilates Fusion is an amazing instructor and helped me to find my passion through Pilates. She has taught me how inportant my form and breath is - in Pilates and in life. Nicole is my little Pilates ninja and is a classic warrior and pushes you to reach new levels - literally! Marisa is focused, calm, measured and supportive instructor. I always feel like I was worked out HARD and hugged when I leave her classes. Nancy I don't get to see as much but I love her classes as well and is the reps-reaper with the softest, sweetest soul. I could tell you all about my Pilates tribe too! These are the women I sweat with, laugh with and sometimes swear with. We share more than studio space together...we are a little Pilates family here at our boutique studio. We range from teens, pregnant young women, working Mom's and professionals, business men, middle age goddesses (as I am one) and retirees of ALL shapes and sizes! I love that about Pilates - its works for you no matter what shape or size or how out of shape you are. For me - it changed so many areas of my life but first I must tell you at 49, I am in the best shape of my post-baby life. I have never looked forward to working out every day. But now, I am full of energy and I have strength and flexibility I haven't had for years! I have lost over 20 lbs and overall as many inches and it continues! I plan on hitting my goal weight (20 lbs to go) before my 50th birthday!! Come check out this studio. We are always looking for new Pilates tribemates. We will laugh with you, sing along to the tunes, moan and groan when the instructors "hurt" us and support you when you need it. I promise you - you will not be sorry! More...

I have been taking private instruction from Bianca even before she opened up her new studio. I decided to follow her even though her studio was located some distance from the previous studio. I have made huge gains in my fitness level with Bianca. Although I had always been athletic, I had gone decades largely as a couch potato. I was getting older (now 63) and wanted to make sure that my remaining years could be thoroughly enjoyed and hopefully lengthened. I now have six pack abs and I never thought that was was possible for me. My weight is the lowest that it has been for decades and it is stable. Not only was Bianca able to help me in class, but she started me on home exercises which has now become part of my daily routine. I was hesitant to start Pilates because I didn't understand that it is just as helpful for women as it is for men. You do not need to lift weights when you can do body weight exercises. I am probably in the best shape of my life and I owe a great deal of that to Bianca! So guys, if you are like me and need need help and motivation getting back into shape (and losing weight) give Pilates Fusion and Bianca a try. If the sound of a group class is intimidating to you (as it was for me) you can sign up for private instruction with Bianca and begin noticing huge gains in just a short period of time. If you make this decision to change your life and remain motivated (Bianca will help you with this), I guarantee that this will be one of the best decisions you can make. More...

My first foray into the world of pilates was at Pilates Fusion Del Cerro, and I have to say they've set the bar pretty high. The studio is tucked away in an office complex near Cowles Mountain (head towards the back of the building to find them), but there is a lot of greenery and light near the studio. Once you step into the studio itself, you'll be greeted by a calm space with lots of natural elements. It really is a beautiful space to workout in.Although I was a bit nervous about my first class (always been more of a workout alone type of gal), the owner, Bianca, immediately put me at ease. She's great about making you feel welcome, encouraging you to go at your own pace, and ensuring that your form is correct above all else. I had a chance to take a number of classes with Bianca, Nicole, and Nancy. They are all amazing and experiencing their different teaching styles really helped me progress and feel more confident. It also doesn't hurt that they are all genuinely nice and interesting to talk to. As for the classes, they offer a lot of different styles and levels of mat, tower, and even cardio pilates. Booking online is super easy, which is great for all of us who sometimes plan things last minute. Having an appointment also helps push you out the door on those days that you just aren't feeling it. I'm a dude, and go to the gym regularly 4-5 days a week and do sweat a bunch while working out.  I have a bad back from work and thought i'd give this a try since my work out routine is getting boring. I wish there were more stars to give.... I absolutely love Pilates Fusion. This little treasure of a studio is located in Del Cerro, close to Cowles Mountain (hike before or after a Pilates class anyone? !!!). First, the studio is in the rear of San Carlos Shopping Center, in a quiet setting where parking is safe and never an issue. The studio itself is beautifully set and decorated; it is bright, clean, welcoming, uplifting and yet grounding at the same time. I love the energy with the natural light, the plants and an amazing reclaimed wood wall. I also think that the decor helps the reformers look less intimidating to anyone who is new to Pilates. Although I love the setting, the best part of the studio is by far the instructors. Because of my schedule, I've been able to only take classes with Bianca (the owner), Nicole and Nancy. All are very knowledgeable, highly certified, and just awesome women all around. They each have their own teaching style, and with their extensive knowledge of a myriad of moves, and a variety of classes offered (from beginning to advanced reformer work, mat, stretch, etc.), the classes are always fun, challenging and empowering. They also kindly correct my forms so that I can reap maximum benefits from a workout that really does wonder to my body and spirit. I also really appreciate that their teachings extends outside the classroom, as I find myself breathing better and correcting my posture during the day. I also feel stronger and in better shape to perform other activities I enjoy.  I am hooked! The website to access the class schedule and book a class is very easy to navigate. For me, the monthly contract is the best investment in my health and graceful aging therapy :), but there are specials and other ways to purchase classes that you can choose from. I highly recommend Pilates Fusion to anyone who wants to better their lives with Pilates. More...

I feel bad because I had never thought to write a YELP review and I am a Pilates Fusion Del Cerro/San Carlos (PF)  junkie! ! About 6 years ago the pilates boom occurred, and like most of you I did the Groupon-studio-best-deal-hop for years. Then 2 years ago I noticed PFusion  and decided to give it a try. From the minute I walked in, I loved the place! Its clean, great location with lots of safe parking , quiet. There are 8 reformers, plus bosu's, mats, bands, weights, etc! I loved that it was maxed at 8 people.  I've been lucky enough to work with instructors when there are only 1 or 2 of us there! And, that's huge....they don't cancel if you're the only one! I've had many a private session that way and I so appreciate that! Anyhoo... within a Week I was hooked.I got my bff to come, she loves it too! The instructors....awesome, consistent, each one is different. Today I took Marissa's basic class just to stretch before a run- she teaches good form. I often book Whitney 2 in a row to beat up my abs and butt muscles (before PF) I didn't know I had butt muscles!. Steph is gone but God did she teach me some awesome stuff. And Debbi...what can i say..she's an angel sent to make everyone feel good about themselves!! She does phenom mat and tower classes. Last week Nicole absolutely kicked my BUTT in a class with a previously favorite teacher, Sheena, attending so I'm looking forward to working with Nicole more often. The thing I want to say is that the difference between group-on pilates hopping, and finding a studio like this, is that you will learn to value instructor's differences, what each has to offer and trust that these instructors pay attn to injuries or any limits you might have.  Oh...and Whitney with her little tiny voice but big ballet finger snaps.."1 2 3"....pushing me to the perfect edge of what i can do!  I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to this studio and running for cardio. PS, New owner...she's going to make it even better!! Come join us for a class. Tell them Tori sent you!! More...

Pilates Fusion is a little gem in the middle of San Carlos/Del Cerro area and the reasons why are:Studio has only 8 reformers with towers, teachers are all highly qualified and each gives you a precious piece of the Pilates puzzle.  Since last August, I have lost 2 dress sizes without trying.  All I do is show up for class (at least 3 times per week), listen to the teacher while she is giving the instructions and 50 minutes later the class has finished and I feel like a million dollars. It is truly this easy.  I now have enough of energy to ride my bike, go for short walks and most of all I don't need my handicap card anymore because Pilates has strengthened my core, legs and arms (pain in knees has decreased significantly).  I honestly feel Pilates has given me a second chance at a healthy life style.  If you live near San Carlos, Del Cerro, La Mesa, College Area, El Cajon and Santee, I would highly recommend  you join us for a class or two and who knows maybe we will meet and I can tell you my story in person.  This location has ample parking.Warmest regards, NP More...

New classes! I started coming to Pilates Fusion when it opened towards the end of September since then they have added an additional studio with new classes and instructors. I must say, each instructor is well trained and have been very good at teaching good form and providing modifications for people with different injuries and levels of ability. I did a bosu class today which was awesome work for my core! And on Monday I tried a new barre instructor as well as a Zumba class! There's also a new Latin cardio on the calendar that I am excited to try when my schedule changes this fall. The vinyasa yoga is good, be sure to bring a mat and sticky socks. Oh, and if you want to do the Latin or Zumba bring shoes that don't have much tread. I tried it in sticky socks and I was making weird squeaking noises plus I didn't have fluidity of motion through my knees. The foam roller class is really nice after barre class to work out any tightness plus we do planks and other stuff with the rollers so there's a workout in there too. Oh, and if you want to feel taller try a tower class. Every time I do a tower class I feel better oxygenated as well as a few inches taller  And of course the mat and reformer classes are great! Bring sticky socks, a bottle of water, and a small towel if you're ready to work hard...you will be sweaty. More...

Bought a few classes with a Living Social deal... So far, I am mostly a fan.Pros:-Smaller classes. The instructors are not overwhelmed, and thus able to really give focused attention on clients. -Clean facilities.-Nice reformers/equipment.-Ample parking ** but theres a catch, I will elaborate in a min.-Online scheduling ** but theres a catch, I will elaborate in a min.-A good amount of class types and times...almost anyone should be able to find some classes that work with their schedule.-2 studios. Double the pleasure, double the fun?Cons:-The parking/building. While there is plenty of parking, if you park in the front of the complex, you might find yourself wandering around looking for the right studio (Studio 1 is all the way in the back on the upper level - Studio 2 is on the lower level in the front). Apparently if you park in the back, there are signs that guide you to Studio 1. Well, my first time there I parked in the front with another girl and we both walked around the whole complex super confused because we could only find Studio 2, which is on the other end of the complex as Studio 1. We ended up late for our class...but still got a good work out in, so thats fun.-The online scheduling format they use is a little inefficient. It took some time for me to learn how to sign in and navigate on the computer...it was a little easier on my phone, but Ive visited other pilates places that have a more streamlined system. I think they are transitioning from another program, so maybe thats why there is a little lag in the process. -"Drop in" fee for a class is $20. That is kind of steep! I was hoping to bring my man along to the next yoga class I check out, but paying $20 just for him to try it out seems a lil much. For a little more, I could buy a package but if he ended up not liking it, I would be out $20+. The package deals are a few bucks more than the other pilates studios I have been to. Overall, I dig this spot. I attended the Vinyasa Yoga on Sun and LOVED the class. I still consider myself a newb with yoga so the more helpful and tolerant the instructor, the better. Plus, I am 6 months preg, and Chrysta was awesome about suggesting alternative moves throughout the workout. Yoga is held in Studio 2...and you get a nice little view of the hillsides out in that area. It was definitely a plus. Im looking forward to finishing off the other classes I have scheduled this week. More...

I recently joined several Pilates studios to try them out and see which one was best for me. I've heard the term "puppy mill Pilates studios" referring to Pilates studios that pack in a class and offer instruction from not very well trained instructors. THIS studio is NOT one of those. If other studios are puppy mill pilates this studio is the loving well-bred trainer with years of experience that brings a safety first approach to each class. All the instructors come from the same school and they are worlds apart from other studios I've tried. Going to this quiet studio is my temple. With that said here are some pointers:1. If it's your first time you will need socks preferably the ones with stickies on the bottom. 2. The studio is in the back but there are good signs to point you in the right direction.3. This studio offers classes for seniors which although I am not one, I find quite brilliant. If you have injuries this is a good studio to be in because the level of instruction is higher.4.
