This place is a neighborhood favorite. It started out as a tiny building on the corner and now they have an enclosed patio and open backyard patio for the Summer. I like the idea of this place and the outside seating looks fun for summer nights. Only downside I had was constantly defending my food from the greedy wasps that plague the outside dining area, maybe it's a seasonal problem. Food was so so but I loved the sausage they had and the root beer on tap from blue sky is worth it too. Should also mention the staff person helped us navigate the menu and was knowledgeable. If you want ribs, this is the only place to go. If I want ribs, I'll drive across town if I have to because it's the only place I'll go. They're tender, juicy, fall off the bone, don't need sauce but their sauce is really good so I will put a little dab on them. The brisket is why I now like brisket. I didn't really care for it before I tried theirs and it's so moist and juicy, what's not to like. When I want bbq I don't care about fancy digs, I just want really good smoked meat. This was a great place to eat. Employees are great, food was great, atmosphere was great! There were a ton of bees (bees are bad right now all over Denver for some reason) and no fly swatters available or a bug zapper anywhere. .. Maybe that's a good thing? What a pork in good time for a bite to eat in the neighborhood. Piggin' Out has a few locations but the Lakewood one is fun because all the seating is outside. It's an eclectic mix of seating options but so nice for a hot summer day or a crisp fall afternoon. The best bbq is when you don't need sauces for the meat! This is the second time coming to eat here and I'm glad I was able to make it one more time before my flight home. Â I got the pot belly sampler and it is delicious! Â The Citrus Kale salad, is fantastic and refreshing. The Mac and Cheese is to die for! Â The candied bacon Mac n cheese is Phenomenal!!!! My son and I finally stopped in here for lunch around 1pm on a Saturday.  It was pretty packed - which is always a good sign.  My son ordered the pulled pork sandwich beans and Mac cheese + corn breadHe loved it all especially the Mac cheeseI ordered the sample with all four meats.  I could not believe how most the turkey was.  I also got beans corn bread and potato salad I also order Frito pie with pulled pork. Great bbq. Not the best ever. Just real solid. I love the sides. They have an outdoor area with a super cute little trailer bar. Beers are very reasonably priced. I have two suggestions for ownership in case they are reading...1. Put the little sauce cups by the sauces. It's weird to have to ask the cashier for a little cup.2. BBQ here is great, had the sampler, brisket, turkey substitution, ribs, and pork. Â Loved the turkey, ribs, and brisket, these were great. Â The pork was good, but I guess that's what bbq sauce is for. Â The sides, mac n cheese and beans were good. Â Wish they had fries as an option, but sadly no. Â There is also a little bar on the backside of this establishment that has locally distilled liquor for your taste buds. This place was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly, service was fast, and our food was to die for! I had the mac and cheese with pulled pork and bbq sauce and it was the best I've ever had - their food rivaled the delicious Texas barbecue I've had in Austin. Don't pass this place up!

I would have given this a 4.5 because the food is great, but the restaurant could be a bit cleaner. Â There are about three tables and a table bar to sit at on the patio. This is hands down the best bbq I've ever eaten. My wife ordered the tango sandwich with pork and I ordered the Hawaiian. We also shared a half slab of ribs . The meat had a good smoke flavor that was obvious but not overpowering. The ribs fell off the bone, Â but weren't super greasy like some places. After a day of skiing a friend and I stopped in to get a bite to go. Â The lady at the counter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I went with the pulled pork, baked beans and kale salad. I really enjoyed the salad and the pulled pork was pretty good. The baked beans were very sweet. This is the world of the service industry. Nothing makes us happier than to be a part of someones wedding, or graduation. Knowing that we can make an impact on someones event, that they will hold in their hearts for years to come, is what drives us to bring the best service and product to our guests plate day in and day out.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Family friends and gatherings. I have been owning and operating restaurants for the last 20 years of my life and can not imagine stepping into another line of work
